I had a "minor" fender bender in the Costco parking lot. I took my car over to Island Auto Body and had a great experience. They laid out what was going to be done, set expectations for timeline and cost, helped with a rental when Enterprise couldn't (They were over the max my insurance would pay). The car was done much sooner than expected (yay!) and Tommy handled everything from dealing with the insurance company to helping out with the rental car. When I got the car back it looked great. They even touched up some of the other scratches on the car while they were at it. The car was returned in mint condition completely cleaned and beautiful. The driver side door was scratched but not dented. Two shops I visited for a recommendation did not feel the scratches would come out too well. One of these would not try to correct them. Both shops gave me their estimate for painting both doors as would be needed to blend the paint. The Island Auto rep told me to leave him the car as he was pretty sure most if not all of the scratches would come out. I brought the car the next day and two hours later I got it back. the door looked recently painted and there was no evidence any scratches were ever present. Do not trust this place at all! If it is not because of the policeman force to tow our car to this place, I'll never know there is a place like this that attitude is so rude and impatient and yuck! If they are really nice to other customers, then, so sorry, I'm Asian, and that force me to think about racism!!! They "force" me to go down there 2 times in person in this pandemic period, and which they can easily explain everything to me via phone, and refuse to take my credit card payment, and ask me to pay "BANK CHECK" or "CASH", and their excuse is their credit card machine just broken these days, what a convenient ha?! And the estimate price is outrageous!!!!! They must scam a lot of money from the insurance company! I cannot believe they have 5 stars review here! Unbelievable!!! Never go to this place to fix your car, unless you were forced to go there, I eventually tow my car to somewhere I trust, and they were so reluctant to release my car!!! Are you kidding me?! Giving these guys 5 stars was no rocket science. In the end of Sept I was in an accident so I didn't know where to go. So I came here bcuz it was close to home. Well I'm glad bcuz Tommy and his crew did an AMAZING job on my SUV. They are very friendly, helpful and professional. Then I went on vacation and when I came back, uh-oh another accident. Absolute hack job by these guys. Just bought a car that was in a minor accident and they did a total hack job fixing the car. The front door was replaced with a non OEM door, all electrical within the door does not work, except the window and the harness is super glued !! It's missing insulation also. Tried resolving it and was told the owner was out for two weeks and no one else could help me. You guessed it, the run around....if you want your car fixed do not trust these guys. read more
