Those yams those yams I'm still dreaming about those yams. I visited on a Sunday with no reservation and there was no wait. This was my first time visiting, they have indoor and outdoor seating. There was also a dj playing the tunes. I had the oxtail egg rolls with the jerk chicken plate and the flavor was sensational. The jerk was really jerking the rice and peas were good too. I have to visit again just to order that plate again. I would recommend. There's a parking yard across the street and some street parking available.

The food was 4.5 stars. We order the salmon egg rolls which was a 5/5 jerk chicken tacos 8/5 and both ordered 12oz jerk rib eye which came with rice and peas, plantains, and a side choice. (my rib eye was more fatty, I swap for jerk chicken tacos, which the kitchen was closed the grill was off, and they only had jerk chicken left. After being here for 2 hours this was a let down for me) the sides were all 10/5 candid yams are very sweet, taste like my Big mama yams the Mac and cheese, was perfect!!! Bartender was very friendly, a prepared great drinks. Deep dive deets: First time visit here during HRW, and my brother and I went by there a couple hours before closing, and was the last ones to exit. NOT by choice. Upon entry we waited a short while for someone to sit us. We sat in the back dining area, which was fine. We notice only two servers was attending to the guest in the room, and we notice a party of 5 arrived after us; who already collects glasses of water and was placing their orders, & another table was getting the food we watch place their order; which was very upsetting, because at that point we have been inside for a good 15-20 mins, and have not got a cup of water or our orders. My brother wanted to exit, we stood and was heading to the front, and in passing the isle the guy who sat us, was returning to us (I guess), I asked would it be better if we sat at the bar. He was working the bar and trying to attend to us at once, so that's when we notice how short of staff this place was. He was very kind and determine to cater to guest. we sat at the bar and finally got cups of water to sip, and placed our orders after being their for over half an hour. We completed our diners and was waiting for the check. Again a couple who sat at the bar next to us, collected their ticket before us, while we were past ready to go; and depart from here. It was a bit overwhelming. Will I return? I already have, because I told a friend about this spot and She love it, cleaned her entire plate. I will return, but I'm not in a rush. And I won't dine here if I'm pressed for time. My second visit, I only order a side which was good still. The food is Great, but you're gonna wait for that greatness.

Caribbean Jerk Palace was already on my radar before we even unpacked our bags. As someone who actively writes reviews across platforms, I always research nearby spots when traveling... and this one kept pulling me back in. The menu, the photos, the feedback... everything said we needed to make this happen before leaving. We went on our last night, and I can confidently say the experience lived up to the hype. My husband handled pickup, and even that part deserves recognition. The restaurant had a steady crowd, including what he described as a mix of locals like a policeman and a real estate agent... which honestly told me a lot. When people who live and work in an area frequent a place, that usually speaks volumes. One detail I truly appreciated... they present your food for review before bagging it. That small step eliminates so many common takeout issues. No incorrect orders, no surprises once you get back, no disappointment. You see exactly what you're getting, and if anything needs adjusting, it can be handled immediately. That level of consideration is rare and very intentional. The atmosphere, based on what we observed on prior evenings and what my husband confirmed, was relaxed and welcoming. No rushed energy, no tension... just a smooth, easygoing vibe. Now, the food... It's well-seasoned, and portioned generously... not salty. I'm not known for finishing full meals, but when I'm in HTX, I make an effort This time... plate cleared. Every bite was satisfying, and there was absolutely nothing underwhelming about it. One minor food matter for me... the cabbage was overcooked. I prefer mine with a crunch but not too crunch... a light crunch. It wasn't mush so let's not go there. It was complimentary to the jerk catfish... To top things off, we were given a coupon sheet valid through late May, which was a pleasant surprise. We visit the area often since our young adult children live here, so a return is already in the plans. Next trip, we're aiming to stay in Third Ward and dine in to fully enjoy the environment and connect with the local crowd. Y'all delivered on food, service, and overall experience. No exaggeration... no disappointment. Chef's until next time. Thnx...

I just.... I just don't think I'd go back. Pros: parking lot, lots of outdoor seating, pretty good playlist, as expected. Cons: Festival was just ok, poor ventilation inside, meal (jerk salmon, rice and peas and Mac n cheese) looked better than it tasted and prices were high- a 20% fee for dining in?! I just got back from Jamaica, so maybe the expectation for food was too high. I'd love to see stronger offerings come out of those swinging doors. Two word review: to-go.

So glad I finally made it to CJP! I fell in love with the jerk lamb chops. And I have been back multiple times since then. I like that there is indoor and outdoor options for seating. I have had attentive waitresses. Casual vibe, great for a last minute connect with friends

This place has a great ambiance nice vibe , great music , loved the table sitting outside , however the food was not all that great. To be honest the appetizers and the sides was better than the entree itself , and if im gonna throw down 40 dollars on a plate the entree needs to shine . One the food came out cold the only thing that was hot was the Mac and cheese and that was the stat of the plate. The oxtails had flavor but not tender, not juicy , and I had to cut it to eat it , the goat was tender but lacked flavor , the frozen and non frozen rum punch wasn't on the menu it was okay it didn't have balance of alcohol and sweetness of the drink , definitely got tipsy but I couldn't drink all of it gotta drive back to my next destination. The service was nice , they came back and checked on us and food came out pretty fast just wish my food wasn't cold .

Visited Caribbean Jerk Palace tonight, and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff was very polite and friendly. The food overall was good I had the oxtail with rice & peas and candied yams. The oxtail was a little on the fattier side, and the yams were a bit too sweet for my taste, but the flavors were still solid you could tell it was seasoned and's marinaded right. My friends ordered the jerk lamb chop and curry goat, and both were excellent, flavorful, and full of that authentic island spice. As someone who's had a lot of experience with island foods and flavor. I'd say this is the closest thing in Houston to the real taste. It's worth checking out if you're craving authentic Caribbean cuisine.

So I tried to come here before and they weren't open. This was when it was Presidents' Day. They have drastically changed since then aesthetically. It's now a large outdoor patio and I never saw the inside prior to yesterday but it's sleek inside. They have a bar and a very nice sized dining room. The beef Pattie with the jerk sauce on the side was so good. I had the egg roll trio. Which was jerk chicken, oxtail and jerk salmon. The salmon was a little dry but the other two were pretty good. Now my jerk chicken was so good. It was tender seasoned well and seemed like they smoked it a bit and grilled it. The rice and peas were not dry which tends to happen at some places. And the string beans were so good. Overall I enjoyed everything. My service was good. I ordered online and picked it up to go. Delish

Woooooo!!!! 3rd Ward!!! A friend of mine told me this place was fantastic and was the best food she had on her trip to Houston. Say no more...told my guys we need to get over to this joint. Caught it on a early Sunday evening around 5:30pm and there wasnt a crowd thankfully. Was nice and warm out so we opted to sit outside. I was told the Jerk Chicken Fried Rice was the move here due to its deliciousness. One of my homies jumped on it so I opted for the next best thing...the Oxtail Fried Rice. The oxtail fried rice was amazing! It came with jalapenos which is fine but takes away from the flavor to me. Took the jalapenos off and it was much better without it. Tasted my friend's jerk chicken fried rice and it was just as good! Washed it all down with an awesome Sidecar. My other homie got the jerk pasta and said it was one of the best he's had! We had an amazing waitress by the name of Riel. She was fantastic and had an awesome smile! So many good dishes on the menu here...Im gonna have to come back!

Caribbean Jerk Palace was such a great find. I ordered the smothered jerk turkey necks with mac and cheese and collard greens and everything was really, really good. The food was very well seasoned, warm, and full of flavor. The service was also really good. The young lady who helped us was super nice, very informative, and made great recommendations that helped us decide what to order. One of my guests got the jerk wings and they were also really, really good, with the sides just as tasty. The drinks were absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the food. The whole experience was enjoyable. The DJ was playing great music, the vibe was laid-back and fun, and it wasn't too busy so we were able to sit right away. Overall, the food, the service, and the atmosphere all came together for a great time. I would definitely recommend this place and I'll be going back for sure.

We came here for a Vday dinner as their reservation system was much easier and accessible compared to some other restaurants we were looking at. Caribbean Jerk Palace had been on my list of places to try since I first saw them open last year, and of course they've been on social media. They had a lovely display and backdrop decorated for Valentines, but unfortunately I couldn't really take advantage of it due to its location. It was right near the front door and quite a few people were coming in, so that created some crowding. But definitely nice to look at. We were seated pretty quickly since we had reservations, and not far from the dj which was cool. There were some GREAT songs playing, so guests had a few sing-along moments lol. Food wise we both ordered the red snapper, one fried & the other grilled. Each plate came with rice n peas, plantains and one side; so we also got the Mac n cheese + greens. There was an option for a couple's combo dinner special for $130, but we didn't opt for that. But let me tell you, those greens and Mac n cheese were FIRE. Those two alone could've been my meal. The Mac and cheese was flavorful and cheesy- perfect combination of everything they goes into making homemade Mac and cheese. There greens were well seasoned tasting like somebody 's mama cooked them! I was pleasantly surprised that the rice n peas were good, my husband is Jamaican and does catering- so I'm a bit snobbish when it comes to Jamaican food. It looks like they added a nice oxtail/brown gravy on top, so that made it flavorful. Unfortunately the fish wasn't so great. They were whole fish filets, very meaty, but lacking flavor. :( All in all, a very nice place with great vibes and service. Our waitress periodically checked on us, and so did the chef. I would definitely come back.

Came for the pasta, stayed for the turkey necks. Unknowingly we came during restaurant week and they're offering a $25.00 special, 1 app and 1 entree. Not too bad, we ended up just ordering from the regular menu. Best item was the smothered turkey necks, so flavorful. The lamp chops were a close second, they also have hookah available on the patio $35. Shout out to the host, our Chicago fam, was very welcoming.

Whole red snapper marinated in house seasoning and flamed-grilled to perfection, creating tender, flaky meat with a lightly smoky finish.

This was my first experience and I went on a Saturday night! The restaurant has inside and outside seating. Bruno was my server. He was nice! I was happy when the food arrived. I was hungry and ready to throw down! The food could have been a bit warmer, yet again I was hungry! The fish was flavored to perfection I would return for the fish!! Yams are my favorite side but these were very sweet. Good but sweet sweet! Plantains were yummy! The crab cakes weren't on the original menu but glad I was able to get them for Houston restaurant week menu! They should add them to the original menu!! I will return!

Being from St Croix island in the Virgin Islands, seeing the menu and taking in the smells of this place gave her memories of back home. Of course I was happy to indulge her request as it gave me an opportunity to try some handheld eats. First the beef pattie, pretty big and so savory with the meat melting in your mouth and the dough having a nice texture and crust. And then the saheena; OMG! It was my first time having this lovely pastry which is made of chickpeas, spinach, and caribbean spices. You'll be hooked on this after one bite. Texture was similar to a savory piece of cornbread. Of course I was very happy with this item. The girlfriend ordered a currant roll which had some sweetness to it with a flaky crust. I enjoyed it but not as much as I was scarfing down my beef pattie and saheena. They also serve traditional caribbean eats including jerk chicken, oxtails, bake & saltfish, and roti wraps. We noticed a lot of people place to go orders here and call ahead for pick up. There were several bags of eats waiting as we witnessed people roll in and pick them up while having small talk with the owners. All those items looked delicious and we plan to come back and try those out. We also talked to the owners for a bit, they're a husband/wife team who've owned/operated this place for a while. Super polite and gracious, they helped me navigate the menu and explained what the items would be like when I ordered. Sadly I could not get the Aloo Pie (sold out) but they assured me it's worth having and to come back and try it (which we will). Pearland is lucky to have this place here. This was my first time coming to the food truck park and I especially came because of this truck. The staff was so nice I really contemplated about this rating for this review, but when I think about the amount of money paid for my main entree and how I couldn't eat half of it and the spice levels didn't match my expectation, I came to this. A 3.5 would have been more accurate quite honestly but alas, yelp has its system. I ordered the bake and fried fish and the doubles. I asked for spicy on the doubles but they didn't taste too spicy - instead I used the sauce included on my bake n fish (possibly had some scotch bonnet peppers) and it was excellent. The bake and fish came as tacos - I don't think I realized that. It was good, but only two small tacos. The french fries were unfortunately burnt and therefore dry and inedible. I gave up on eating them. We were in a hurry, otherwise, I would have chatted with the staff about possibly getting some new fries.
