This place is located within same building as Basalt, another eatery and a market. After dining at the Basalt for breakfast, I was able to try a Vietnamese coffee from here. It was really good! The barista was friendly and they work fast as there is usually a line here but they provide quick service. read more

Refreshing Tea in Waikīkī! Island Gourmet Coffee is located inside Duke's Marketplace. It's a small spot offering a variety of coffee, tea, and pastries. I'm normally a coffee kind of girl, but their teas definitely caught my attention--especially when I saw their Peachy Coconut Tea! Peaches and coconut--two of my favorites! At first, I thought the tea was a bit pricey, but then I realized that the $6 price was for a large cup, which isn't too bad at all. I also love that they add a hint of honey for free. Tried this back in December when in Hawaii and the blended coffee tasted bland and felt more icy than milky. Pros// Located in the marketplace with other hot foods and fresh poke and pastries. Cons// Took some time for our order to be corrected and made since they noted the wrong drink initially. First time trying this place. Passed by so many times on my visits here on the island. I ordered the Thai tea. It looked good but the taste was off. Something was different about it and I just didn't like it. I know there are other drink places nearby that i've tried that are good. Island Gourmet Coffee is one of the vendors located inside Dukes Lane/Market eatery. What I have tried: -Matcha Latte Dalgona -Taro Latte Dalgona -Macarons (Ube, Coffee, Chocolate) -Hojicha Milk Tea with Boba from Teaspresso I love that Island Gourmet Coffee does not just sell good cafe drinks, but also delicious pastries (ie: croissants, macarons, danishes, muffins, etc.). Right next to Island Gourmet Coffee is Teaspresso and a Gelato express station. All 3 vendors are at the same pay station. Therefore, you can order either gelato, boba drinks, or cafe drinks/pastries at the same kiosk! FOOD REVIEW: *Matcha and Taro Dalgona -The consistency of the latte dalgona whip for both flavors is amazing! Perfect amount of sweetness. I loved how they added caramel drizzle to the Matcha Latte Dalgona. -Unfortunately, I am not sure if they have milk substitutes but I would like to think they do. -I give the Matcha Dalgona a 9/10 rating. My mom ordered the Taro Latte Dalgona and gave it a 6/10 rating. She wished they gave more strong taro flavor. *Macarons -Macarons were THICK lol. But had such good consistency and was perfectly sweet. I appreciated that the macarons did not all taste the same and had their own unique flavor depending what you get. Some Macaron places, the macarons all taste the same...but not here. *Hojicha Milk Tea with boba from Teaspresso -I loved it. Not going to lie, I underestimated Teaspresso. I thought it was going to be whack. The boba pearls had a great soft chew. The Hojicha milk tea tasted like Roasted Oolong Milk tea. Shoutout to the staff. I came to this location twice while at Waikiki because I really like the jasmine green tea. Service was okay but wait time was a little longer than most places I have been for tea in Honolulu. The server made us jasmine green tea with milk despite my request "no sweetener, no boba, nothing but ice and jasmine green tea." We all make mistakes and she quickly corrected my order. They have the big macaroons for $2.89....pretty good price, especially for Hawaii! They are located inside Duke's Lane Market and Eatery, it's a pretty cool set up with a bakery, restaurant, store and more in a one stop location. read more

Pineapple Fritter $2.69: So, I know this thing ain't been sitting out too long by the way it looks, and it's not particularly stale tasting, but it's definitely not fresh tasting.... and is dry as all hell. The "coffee" tasted more like coffee flavored water. I should have known better, with a large dark roast at $2.99. In Honolulu? I should have caught that red flag. They're obviously riffing off the "Island Vintage" coffee name, and hoping no one notices the difference until it's too late like me. And I live here! Think I'm going to dump these in the trash and get some real coffee next door at Kona Coffee Purveyors. Yuk. Yummy. Got the white chocolate latte iced. I wanted to have a macadamia but indeed late. They do have the syrup to make it. But went to ala carte build the drink making it almost an $8 drink. So I opted back to the regularly made white chocolate. It was delicious. I drank it so fast. #DD read more

I went there many times to support the business and they have good pastries too, but that lady/cashier has a tattoo on her arm... was the most snab face and rude customer service. I asked for cinnamon roll and she told me to go the other side, she wasn't even helping the other customer yet and I was ready. She was just standing in the register and doesn't enagage the customers. Her attitude and vibes were flat. I understand she helped first the tourist but at least give some Aloha spirit esp to locals. I waited and stand next to the showcase where she told me. No sense because didn't even bother to go near the showcase and ask instead stayed in the register and called me what do I want. She Just memorizing her lines on what to say but no personal touch of customer service. Need some more training or maybe go home if don't like your job.
