Stopped in for a quick cup of coffee and a bite for breakfast and it was good. I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and it was as expected. They toasted the bagel and the cream cheese came in one of those little disposable containers. It was $5 and did the trick as far as breakfast goes. The coffee was okay, too. Banyan Breeze was our go-to place for breakfast over the MLK weekend. It's a great choice if you want to pick up a quick breakfast without spending too much money. Each time I got the egg, bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich. It was filling and tasted good. Twice my fiancé got the everything bagel with cream cheese and a strawberry and white chocolate scone. He enjoyed the bagel. The scone was ok, but a little too sweet than he would have liked. He got it though because he wanted to make sure he'd be full enough for the morning and he's not a breakfast sandwich person. Overall I enjoyed the breakfast we got from here. And the service was quick so we could go about our day. read more

Banyan Breeze is a quick grab n go breakfast shop located inside a Hilton hotel in Waikiki. The restaurant has limited indoor seating and a small menu. However, the staff was super nice and got our food out quickly. The bagels and croissants were a bit expensive and bland, but a good walkable and convenient pick up breakfast option while staying at a hotel in the area. read more

Tourist review. It's fine? I wouldn't call this a destination, but if you're nearby looking for a to go bite.. They have a few, limited smoothies, breakfast sandwiches that they reheat, along with pastries, coffees and other eats. I went with an overpriced protein smoothie and it was fine. It's a very small, dark shop in a hotel. So definitely a to-go only spot. Fine if you're in the hotel or nearby, pretty average for anything else. read more

This coffee shop was such a nice way to spend the morning!! Employees were super nice and friendly which made the experience that much more enjoyable. Was looking to try a different coffee shop than the usual ones I go to in Waikiki. Found this place nearby and located in another hotel. I ordered the Haupia Latte ( hot) 2 shots of espresso mixed with Creamy coconut and sweetened condensed milk. It was delicious. Nice coconut notes in every sip. read more

This was a hidden gem! I was looking for a small coffee shop to head to and was fortunate to find Banyan Breeze. It's in a hotel, but it seemed to be independently operated. The folks working there were super nice, and my mango smoothie and breakfast burrito were great! It was awesome to be in a smaller, less commercial coffee shop in such a touristy area and I'd happily go back next time! read more

Nice breakfast! Tucked within a resort, this little coffee shop has good breakfast food and coffee for those early risers. This was a cozy little shop off the Waikīkī Banyon lobby. Standard little coffee shop with food options. Got a ham wrap which was good and a vanilla frappe which was very tasty! Not a lot of room inside so it gets a little cramped but there are some tables to sit at. Nice place if you're looking to grab something to go! read more

Stopped by in the morning before our tours and I love how this shop makes our hotel hallway smell like coffee everyday. It's quite dark inside and it's more like a quick pit stop than a working location, I'd say. The service was very friendly. The drinks were made quickly. We got the haupia latte. It really packed a punch! It was less sweet than I thought, which I enjoyed. If you told me this came from a swanky hipster coffee shop, I would've believed you. This is a small cafe located in Tower 1 of the Waikiki Banyan condominium. The cafe is small but large enough to maneuver (carefully) a stroller through if you're like me and have a baby in tow. Husband and I recently were short on time and opted to grab food and coffee from this little cafe. Husband ordered a breakfast sandwich with an iced mocha latte while I went with the chili and rice with an iced Thai latte. The coffee were both delicious. My husband really enjoyed his breakfast sandwich while I found the chili to be bland. (Perhaps, just an off day/batch?) I've since tried the iced white mocha, Buffalo chicken wrap, and peanut butter cheesecake - all of which were really tasty. The cheesecake is rich and flavorful and perfect for nibbling on and saving some for later. While visiting Waikiki, you see a LOT of Starbucks in hotels. The last thing we wanted was to visit a chain coffee shop in Hawaii. We were lucky enough to find, and be staying about a block away from Banyan Breeze Coffee. From the first visit (we went almost every day after) we were greeted every time with a smile, a "good morning" and a pleasant experience. The iced coffee and chai we selected were excellent, and all staff was great. I would highly recommend grabbing a coffee here anytime. read more

This place is awesome! If you're staying in the building, it's a great place to grab some early morning coffee. They also have snacks, a printer, and a good amount of tables to work at. Stayed at this "hotel" for a week. I tried many different places but always found my self wanting to come back to this place! Not only is it usually quick service, but its super delicious. Food always delicious. I really like the wraps. Deserts wonderful. Lemon bars just perfectly sour and sweet enough. Coffee is delicious. My friend from Kona (owns a coffee label) says this is the place for authentic Kona coffee. I take my food and coffee out to the Banyan indoor/outdoor lobby with the big waterfall. I usually frequent this place for breakfast and early lunch - I live nearby and it's one of those consistent go-to places! read more

The 3-star rating is not for the drinks I ordered; it's for the service I received! I ordered 2 lattes that tasted a bit bitter, so I requested extra milk. However, I couldn't believe their response: 'NO.' This is the first time such a thing has happened. Whenever I've ordered a latte and asked for extra milk, they've never declined before, and their negative attitude was a problem. Does someone who says 'NO' not feel any shame? I felt even angrier that I had tipped her when I ordered the drinks. She doesn't deserve it! read more

An average coffee shop. I got the cold brew a couple of times with the macadamia flavoring. The syrups are not overly sweet and are actually quite tasty (though, I recommend getting a little simple syrup if you get the macadamia cold brew). They have very yummy breakfast burritos and oat cakes that are worth a try as well - especially if you are staying in the waikiki banyan condos. It seemed like there are usually people waiting outside the door at 7am when they open, but service is pretty quick. Overall, ok coffee shop, but there are others I enjoyed more on waikiki. read more

This little place was just below our suite so we thought we'd grab a quick breakfast. Super tasty breakfast sandwiches and amazingly thick fresh fruit smoothies!! Established in 2008.

We felt the need for a coffee shop without the "touristy" feel in this Waikiki neighborhood and wanted a comfortable place for locals and tourists to come and get coffee, eat lunch, grab a newspaper or just hang out.

Meet the Business Owner: Bree S.

I moved to Hawaii in 1992 from the Seattle area. I've worked in the coffee/dessert industry since I was 16 and have always enjoyed it. My husband and I started out with a small cart in the downtown area and then had another cart at Straub hospital for years. We took some time away from the industry to pursue other businesses and to start a family. When our kids got older and I had more time, I realized that I really missed the coffee and the customers. So in 2008 the Banyan Breeze Coffee Co. was born. I really enjoy meeting and talking to new people (as well as our regulars) on a daily basis and hope that they find our little shop a place that they want to return to.

Black sesame kouign amann: A twist on the classic kouign amann. A beautiful blend of crunchy and soft. The black sesame filling adds a nice flavor. Pandan coconut tapioca pudding: Pandan pudding, coconut tapioca, topped with coconut macaroon. This seems to be a seasonal/limited item. Their desserts are from b patisserie, and they all looked soo enticing and pretty! It was a nice place to sit and leisurely enjoy coffee and pastries. I would say this place is not worth it right when they open, only because the line is soo long and it's very hectic with people fighting for seating and getting their orders in. I would recommend going later in the morning or in the afternoon to avoid the morning craze.

Once you sign, they go over a list of rules that are to be followed or they will ask you to leave. They also have merch at the front. Once they do that, they gave us a key for our locker to put away our belongings and a buzzer for when our time is up. Entry also came with complimentary drink tickets! We bought the parfait and dry food to feed the cats, not all cats are able to eat the dry treats so you have to be careful. The cats were so cute, they were sleepy and taking cat naps, did not play too much. However, I found myself playing with one that was inside a tent and ran my nails on the outside and they were interacting by pawing from their side. There was only me and my boyfriend and a couple of other people inside but at the end, a lot of people came in and the cats were more active.

Go up the ramp to dedicated parking stalls for patrons; avoid the stalls demarcated, reserved. There are street metered stalls along Lafite and, the adjacent structure, Kaimuki Plaza. Plantoem offers a relaxing ambiance upon entrance. Navigate the jungle of plants to access the cafe counter. I requested the Yerba Mate which is only available for in-house. A container with filtered straw was provided alongside a thermal carafe...there was enough hot water for 2.5 servings. The barista was a bit bemused when I ( humorously ) mentioned I swallowed some sediment from the straw...not being used to drinking yerba mate in this traditional way. I felt a little less of a gringo after that beverage. The main dining area is to the left. A nook to the back of the counter is a laptop/device free zone...and I sat in that hideaway...perused a book on interior design ( a few books are available) ...and enjoyed the yerba mate. Hours are from 700a till 500p - Mondays thru Thursdays. Fridays are 700a to 700p. Saturdays are 1000a - 700p. Sundays: 1000a until 500p.

Coffee: The only way to stay sane…read more First day on Oahu and I was feeling jet lagged. The two of us ordered an Ono Latte and Island Thai Latte at $6.50 each. It was a watery brew and does not delivery much caffeine. For $13, I was hoping it'll keep us up until noon but I was out and taking a nap shortly afterwards. Zzz. I do appreciate that they have dairy alternatives as default but there's a much better coffee shop and bakery around the corner that I would rather spend my money at.
