Banyan Breeze was our go-to place for breakfast over the MLK weekend. It's a great choice if you want to pick up a quick breakfast without spending too much money. Each time I got the egg, bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich. It was filling and tasted good. Twice my fiancé got the everything bagel with cream cheese and a strawberry and white chocolate scone. He enjoyed the bagel. The scone was ok, but a little too sweet than he would have liked. He got it though because he wanted to make sure he'd be full enough for the morning and he's not a breakfast sandwich person. Overall I enjoyed the breakfast we got from here. This is a small cafe located in Tower 1 of the Waikiki Banyan condominium. The cafe is small but large enough to maneuver (carefully) a stroller through if you're like me and have a baby in tow. Husband and I recently were short on time and opted to grab food and coffee from this little cafe. Husband ordered a breakfast sandwich with an iced mocha latte while I went with the chili and rice with an iced Thai latte. The coffee were both delicious. My husband really enjoyed his breakfast sandwich while I found the chili to be bland. (Perhaps, just an off day/batch?) I've since tried the iced white mocha, Buffalo chicken wrap, and peanut butter cheesecake - all of which were really tasty. The cheesecake is rich and flavorful and perfect for nibbling on and saving some for later. We were lucky enough to find, and be staying about a block away from Banyan Breeze Coffee. From the first visit (we went almost every day after) we were greeted every time with a smile, a "good morning" and a pleasant experience. The iced coffee and chai we selected were excellent, and all staff was great. I would highly recommend grabbing a coffee here anytime. read more

The 3-star rating is not for the drinks I ordered; it's for the service I received! I ordered 2 lattes that tasted a bit bitter, so I requested extra milk. However, I couldn't believe their response: 'NO.' This is the first time such a thing has happened. Whenever I've ordered a latte and asked for extra milk, they've never declined before, and their negative attitude was a problem. Does someone who says 'NO' not feel any shame? An average coffee shop. I got the cold brew a couple of times with the macadamia flavoring. The syrups are not overly sweet and are actually quite tasty (though, I recommend getting a little simple syrup if you get the macadamia cold brew). They have very yummy breakfast burritos and oat cakes that are worth a try as well - especially if you are staying in the waikiki banyan condos. It seemed like there are usually people waiting outside the door at 7am when they open, but service is pretty quick.
