Turtle chips

Never heard of this place or known of this area lol but me and my daughter went for a drive and found this plaza filled with shops and came upon this store. I love visiting new places and exploring so we did just that. They have so much in this store from fruits and vegetables to so much freezer items you can pick from and also a seafood area filled with crabs and fish I like how they also offer to clean the fish you pick and if you want it fry they do that as well. I definitely want to come back and do a little shopping with the kiddos. I was so excited they had what I wasn't looking for seen it all over tik tol and had to pick it up and try and it was amazing my other favorite thing is they have these cool and delicious chips that always taste amazing

So as I have said before we are fiends for, I guess for a lack of a better word "ethnic" grocery store. You never know what you are going to find, they typically have better prices on stuff, etc etc. 88 is a massive store. The isles are spacious and free of clutter and they offer an extensive selection of stuff. The produce selection was extensive as well. They also as would suggest by the name they have an extensive live fish selections as well. They do not have any sort of prepared take out food, but the one staff we interacted with, the checkout clerk, was super friendly and efficient.

Thai siracha sauce!! Its 13$ on amazon

This supermarket is really big and spacious! The produce area gives off a warehouse vibe with a bunch of products! They have a bunch of southeast asian snacks, drinks, produce! For the most part this place is like any other typical grocery store but really big and has everything you need! It's the only asian grocery store in livermore besides Ranch 99 and its not bad! The butcher at the seafood section was nice and informative. We ordered a black bass to eat steamed fish tonight. The hot pot meat is also a good price, and it doesn't look as bad either. We got free snacks upon checking out which was really generous of them! Usually grocery stores don't give you free stuff when you check out. Not a bad place to get your asian groceries!!!

Long aisles all filled...

88 Seafood Supermarket is the 5th location for this Bay Area food group. this location is the largest. Fine Food Mart was once here. no prepped foods. just fresh seafood, meats, fruits & vegetables. groceries from Thailand, Korea, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Japan, Singapore, India, Malaysian and Hong Kong are available in various degrees. some countries aplenty, a few very sparse. snacks mostly of the fried variety. ramen Korean, Japan, Indonesian, Hong Kong.... long aisles of the usual categories surrounded by pallets full of fruits, vegetables, and various noodles, snacks, drinks, groceries. I didn't see many "name" brands, mostly unknown ones. sampling: red/green bean mochi (Taiwan 1.99) -lots of sugar, many chemical additives, artificial colorings....not healthy demae ramen black garlic oil, tonkotsu flavor, (Hong, Kong .79) -classic authentic instant noodle. now owned by Japan company, flavors real. paldo kimchi noodle (Korean 1.39) -noodles & flavor tasted off, niche noodle company. Soon Hari citron flavor soju (4.69) only fruit flavors available -tasted strange for "lemon", artificial cherry taste present. prefer Jinro brand. leftovers: -may return to treasure hunt, not to look for a specific brand/product. -lots of parking available...

Fish was old (cloudy eyes), overpriced, stray cat in the produce, and the boxes lined up around the store turned it into a maze.

Fresh Seafood is hit n miss. Prices are not that cheap either. Selection is less than seafood city or 99 ranch.

Love how it's peaceful and so far they have what I usually look for. Unlike 99 Ranch and it's always heavily filled with too much people.

Awesome place and wonderful staff!…read more We came to Cured after meaning to go for some time, and can't wait to go back! As it was our first visit, we got the full download on the menu. Recommend getting between 5-7 dishes depending on how hungry you are. Went with the mussels, oysters, albacore, king salmon, and the star of the show, the bluefin tuna cowboy style. Every dish was beautifully plated with its own complex and distinct flavors. The servers do a great job of timing the dishes just right once you're ready for the next one. We wish we had more room in our stomach to try more dishes from the menu.

You can choose between bar seating or a table--we went with a table. The space is cute, modern, and has a great vibe. One thing I really appreciated is that all the sashimi dishes came pre-seasoned with thoughtful sauces and toppings. We didn't even need soy sauce or ginger--everything was already balanced and flavorful. Oysters (3.5/5) Solid. Fresh and clean, and great value for a dozen. We added "the works" for $3, which came with extra sauces--definitely worth it and added a nice variety of flavors. Uni Toast (4/5) Really good. Served on a crispy ube toast with great presentation. Definitely on the pricier side, but expected for good uni. Worth trying if you're into uni. Tuna Crudo (4.5/5) Really enjoyed this. Flavor was good, but the crispy bread was a highlight for me. Some might think it's too crispy, but I loved the texture. The wagyu juices tied everything together nicely. DIY Handrolls (4/5) Fun concept--comes with mini sheets of seaweed, rice, and hamachi so you can build your own. The fish tasted fresh and high-quality. The only downside is I wish they gave more seaweed. Cured Chirashi Don (4.5/5) The sushi rice was honestly one of the most flavorful I've had--very pronounced vinegar taste (in a good way). The fish was fresh and of high quality. Definitely a standout. Overall, this place leans on the pricier side since it's small plates/tapas style--we ended up ordering around 7-8 dishes to feel full. That said, the flavors are unique and I liked how some of the fish was lightly seared, adding a nice aroma and texture. Service was solid--our server checked in regularly. They also brought out cookies and milk for my birthday, which was a nice touch (not free--$8--but still worth it). Would come back to try more dishes

If youre looking for good fish and chips, or maybe great, I found a place today. I had not expected…read moreto spend my birthday celebrating alone, just a few wishes and texts nothing over the top. I was more than half way to Livermore so I decided to try Louise's. Many of the best places are not fancy or expensive and I was not disappointed. This place is like the proverbial hole in the wall, but clean and tidy, spick and span kind of place. There is a decent size menu of items, combos of fish (cod), prawns, calamari, clams, oysters and chicken. They also have sides, extras, drinks including beer and wine. I got the #4, 2-pc fish and chips for $12.40. Their prices must have dropped than what is shown online. Sales tax in Livermore, Dublin and Pleasanton is 10.25%. My order was cooked fresh. The fish is dipped in a cornstarch batter. After a few minutes, I heard the timer go off when it was done. A paper lined basket was brought to my table on a tray with malt vinegar, tartar sauce and catsup. It looked very good and golden brown. The taste test was awesome. light, crunchy and flakey fish, very yummy and no taste or smell of oil or any reside. It was perfect. The malt vinegar and tartar sauce not too tangy went very well with the fish. I ended up eating everything, nothing was left. The value is the 3-pc fish and fries, I think was just $15.50, but the 2-pc was just enough for me. Next time, I will try the calamari and fries. I dont think I need to head to SF, Fishermans Wharf, or Sausalito for good fish and chips. It's right here in Livermore, owned and operated by a husband and wife team. They are very friendly. Support local small business. This is one place I will enjoy going to, recommending and will bring friends next time. Thanks for reading.

We ordered the Family Pack - 10 fish & chips. Plus a large side of Cole slaw. We dined in and the food came out quickly. The fish was cooked to perfection - batter was crispy and golden, the fish flavorful and flaky. Not greasy at all. There were no soggy spots bustin through the breading either. I don't understand it but I'm lovin it. There's no shortage of sauces in squeeze bottles - tartar, ranch, cocktail, ketchup. Pro move. Plus malt vinegar. The coleslaw is thinly shaved and delicious - served chilled, not too over sweet or vinegar-y. Just right. The seating area in front was clean and I didn't leave smelling of fried food. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although we arrived 30 minutes before closing, they did not rush us out which is so appreciated. Enjoyed it so much I couldn't stop to take any pics after the food arrived. Can't wait to go again!

Parking in the area is not bad; you'll have a small walk since this is in the downtown area, but there was a parking lot across the street. The bread was really good with the olive oil and vinegar, and turned out to be the best part of the meal. We were tempted to get a refill, but the menu said that they charged for bread refills so we declined. Nevertheless, they still refilled our bread and didn't charge us for it (maybe they forgot?). I tried their risotto con pollo and short rib papardelle. The risotto was alright, not the best I've had and portions were small. The short rib papardelle was way too salty. Also, it felt really sketchy when they handed us the bill with the total amount and tip already hand written in on the customer receipt by the waiter. Besides this, I would say skip their mediocre and pricey food.

The vodka sauce was the only thing that was worth getting again. They brought out complementary focaccia which was fresh but had no salt what so ever. I don't think I would go back here for the pastas again but I would love to go back on a weekday to try their pizza. They don't serve pizza on weekends. The staff here is nice. The ambiance was alright.

We saw another table waiting to be serviced by him as well. Multiple workers walked by and just eyed each table but never offered help to the poor guy, therefore a few tables grew impatient. Cons: Soon as we walked in we were told it was going to be a 20-30 minute wait, not a problem. We gave them our phone number to alert us when our table was ready, so we found an area at the bar and sat down and waited. 45 minutes passed someone from our party wanted to see how much longer it would be. When asked how much longer, the host said they "didn't have our number to contact us". (Didn't make sense because we gave it to them soon as they asked us to have a seat to wait) They didn't bother to call for us like they were calling other people waiting for a table, they didn't want to walk around to find our party either. When they finally sat us down at a table, we noticed majority of the restaurant was empty (literally only 6-8 tables). Took us about 10 minutes to just get water for everyone (We were a table of 5 btw). Took over 20 minutes to take our order, took almost 30 minutes to get our order. Waited 15 minutes to get to go boxes and the tab. We came in around 7pm left around 9:45ish just to give an estimate of how long we were there for. As someone who had came here several times as they were a kid, to come as an adult for a quick visit to reminisce, it was a disappointment to say the least. Maybe next time I would go to another location to see if the service gets better.
