I sent an employee here for drug testing with the proper forms and authorizations that I have been sending all employees with for years. They turned him away stating he did not have proper authorization. The forms have worked in every facility my employees have been sent to prior. These people seem lazy, incompetent, and to not care about their patients or anyone walking through their doors whatsoever. I have been a patient here for 10 years. Dr.Sica appears to be the most accurate physician when diagnosing my ailments and prescribing treatment for them. The practice employs P.A.s, but I feel more comfortable seeing a doctor. I did like seeing the thorough and knowledgeable Nurse Practitioner Bruno, but he left the practice several years ago. Medical assistants competently withdraw blood and administer EKGs, among taking other responsibilities. Receptionists are courteous and friendly. It is easy to secure an appointment. Remember to immediately press "7" on your phone to bypass the voicemail greeting. Wait times to see professional medical staff can be over one hour, especially earlier in the year when people are getting physicals. So expect to be in there for two hours or more, including the time that the physician or p.a. evaluates you and the medical assistant weighs you, obtains your vitals and performs ordered tests. The office is open only on weekdays but not on weekends. Hours are 9a to 5 pm, except every other Friday they open from 8a to 4p when Dr. Sica is there. It is also conveniently located on Rt. 112, between the Sunrise Highway and the L. I.E. The practice is affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital/Catholic Health Services. Upon arrival, patients must notify staff by phone. A receptionist will then come out to your vehicle, escort you inside and take your temperature. Everybody must still wear masks in the office. COVID-19 restrictions have not been lifted for health care settings as of this writing (mid June 2021). The entire building is in need of a renovation. It is outdated when compared to most other medical practices. There is no Internet here because of a dead cell phone zone. Wifi is available, so I recommend patients buy a reputable VPN service like NordVPN to encrypt Wifi connection and to privatize browsing. Overall, this practice is satisfactory. read more

Horrible. 0/10 I would give them ZERO stars if I could. Gaslit me, laughed at me, talked about me. I wish I could remember the rude and unprofessional lady in the front who assumed I was some type of "drug addict" and the clearly incompetent doctors names (multiple) who worked there that REFUSED to call my doctor in another state since I just moved to NY to confirm my medical history/prescription. Scoffs and laughs at me "Oh no, we are NOT calling them" this is how you treat new patients who had just been through serious life changes when they come to you pleading for help? DISGUSTING. Please do better. This is how you treat people trying to get better and get aid from doctors (isn't this your job) who clearly showed signs indicative of severe depression and extremely severe anxiety that my now competent, sympathetic, and professional doctor is helping me with. DO BETTER. And on a side note, You dont need to know the circumstances of what people are going through to treat them with respect, dignity, or compassion. read more

My family and I go to this office, and our main dr is Dr. Guida. His son is also there as well. He is so patient, so kind, and takes his time listening and helping with your situation. I've also seen Kara PA many times, and she is such a wonderful person, so caring, so concerned, and is always so helpful with whatever brings you in. And Peter RN, is just so efficient, so knowledgeable and so quick to call in your pharmacy with refill requests. The rest of the staff are just really great! Everyone is so professional, so caring, always greeting me with a smile. Wait times in the office are sooo short! Rarely I have ever waited longer than 15-20 minutes to be seen. Only once did I have to wait about a half hour, because the dr I was scheduled with that day had an emergency with the patient in the exam room. read more

A couple of weeks ago I went for my flu shot + prescription. There is a new PA Bruno, who is terrific after examining me he felt there was something not right. So he had them to do an EKG + found i had a heart problem. Immediately set me up the next day with a cardiologist. Bruno is king, thorough and extremely capable. I've been a patient of Doctor Sica for more than 20 years. This morning I had a bad sinus infection. I arrived at the doctors office at 9am, exactly when the office opened. Thankfully, I hadn't needed the doctor for about an year and a half or so. I didn't realize the office had been taken over by another medical organization since my last visit, but the doctors haven't changed. I was informed that they're no longer a walk in facility as they were before and that I had to be entered into the system as a new patient. I also need an appointment, which wouldn't be available until tomorrow. I explained my condition and that I've been a patient for over twenty years. I've been treated for sinus infections numerous times over the years and I likely require some antibiotics. They refused to see me and referred me to City MD. I then asked if the receptionist would at a minimum, put my paperwork in as a new patient now so next time I won't require extra time. I was also told no because I have to actually be a patient. Again, I explained that Dr. Sica has been my primary care physician for more than 20 years. That didn't matter. I guess it's time for a new primary physician. Very unprofessional. Maybe it would have been a good idea to notify your patients that the office was being taken over and new rules were going to be implemented. Also on a side note, I think doctors offices should open at 8am not 9am to accommodate the people who are sick, not the staff. read more

Island Medical of Medford L.L.P. Billing & Copay FRAUD. My family and I have been going to this office since the early 90's. The problems started when 1 by 1 the Doctors and physicians assistants started leaving the office without ANY notice. Then whether or not you have the first appointment or the last appointment and nobody else in the office it still takes a half hour to go into a room and another half hour until the Physicians Asst. comes in to your room. Then I started to notice billing "issues". You have to pay Copay before your seen. Ok I get that but, when doctor has the nurse come in to draw blood that's another $15 Copay! Ok. But, nobody tells us that. So, they hold onto that and NEVER contact us until my next 6 month check up. Now that $15 Copay is $35 because not paid at time of service! So, they add a $20 late fee! Now the other day I had a appt only to find out they billed my wife's Aug 15 emergency visit wrong to ins company and REFUSED me my appt unless I paid the bill in full. I call ins company from their office and they said it was written up wrong and it will be paid when its resubmitted. The doc office refused to resubmit and said we need to pay them and it's my problem to get money back from ins company! They had me because I was out of my blood pressure meds and needed them ASAP! So now going through stuff, I noticed this seems to be a pattern to get extra money out of the working stiff since the office over the last 3 years has turned into "ObamaCare" clinic. Now that I caught onto them, we just received certified letters stating: "I find it necessary to inform you that effective immediately, I am withdrawing from further professional attendance upon you, and find it no longer to our mutual best interest." In other words..... Find yourselves a new doctor. You are not welcome here anymore!! read more

I've been going to this office 8 plus years. I have never had a bad experience. I have had to wait an hour during flu season but most visits I'm seen in 30 minutes. They use to have 2 PA's, Casey and April, but they are no longer there, they were real thorough and kind. My husband and I have never had any issues with the staff or the doctors. If things changed for us I would certainly repost with any information or comments. I rate this office as okay and convenient. I'm glad they speak English and that I can understand what they're saying. I left my other doctors office because his English was terrible to understand. I have had to deal with worse that's for sure. read more

I cannot in good standing recommend this office with the exception of the PA April. You walk in, wait at the glass window, with 2 people behind the glass discussing lunch options. Then you are handed several new papers to fill out even though you filled these exact papers 3 months prior. My experience the last 3 visits has me waiting short amount of time in waiting room, but then only to wait in exam room for 42 minutes. I could hear the discussion of patient in next room, and listening to staff conversations in main desk outside of room. I just now tried 3 times to make an appointment only to hear a message to leave my name and number so they can return my call to make appointment.. my message was left at 905 this morning. It's now 1:15pm. Good thing, I just need med refill and not sick. And that's another thing, they make me come in every 3 months instead of just renewing on phone. One time they wanted to make me come in to review lab results WHICH WERE NORMAL! Just another scam to bill my insurance. Well today is last straw... I only remained at this office because of convenience to my home proximity but now not worth it. read more
