From my past decade on Bay Farm, both my mom and I have went to Emi for our live scan needs! She is very responsive to phone calls, and can often do same day scanning. Walk-ins are also welcome, but it depends on your luck if she has appointments during that timeframe, as they are prioritized. I called on a Wednesday afternoon for a fingerprint, and I was offered to do same day but decided to do the following day. COVID measures were followed for safety even though mask mandates have been repealed, which I liked. Hand sanitizer was offered twice, with alcohol in between fingerprints for minimal germ contact. It took me a total of 10 minutes for both my hands and payment. Overall, very fast and efficient service without any "formal" hassle. You walk in, quick fingerprint, and walk out. There is plenty of parking on the street, and Emi is very friendly :). This is the place to go for fingerprints! read more

Pleasant experience. When I called her, I didn't realize that you needed to set up an appointment to see her. But she said she was willing to take me in as long as I came a few minutes before 1p. I was a in rush because the UPS live scan was closed and there were limited places that were open that were willing to do a live scan and my job needed it asap to get me started right away (But I wouldn't suggest flooding her with non-appointment visits). She was so nice to take me in despite the fact it overlapped her lunch hour a bit. At first, I was confused when I arrived at the address. It was at a house and I was not sure if I had gone to the right place. Don't worry, it IS the house so the address on Yelp is correct. She had me walk on the garden path around the side of the house. She does request that you: wash your hands 30 seconds before coming, wear a mask, and have your paperwork filled out beforehand due to risk of COVID19. She also only takes payment through apps to minimize contact like through Venmo and Cashapp. She talks you through the steps with simple instructions and clearly knows what she is doing. You are in good hands if you choose her. Whole process was about 13 minutes long (and that was because it was no fault of her own; we had to redo some of my fingers because they were reaaaally dry). Emi was super helpful and professional when I went to get my LiveScan fingerprinting. She was very knowledgeable with the entire process and suggested a regimen in preparation for the fingerprint process so that they would come out more clearly. Scheduling was also relatively easy--through a simple text with quick responses. When my fingers were dry from my work and I was concerned about the prints not coming out, I was able to cancel and then reschedule for an early morning weekend a few days later. She was very accommodating and I really appreciated how painless she made that process. Emi was very attentive and did not rush through the process, taking multiple attempts to get the best prints. Don't be fooled when your GPS lands you at Emi's house. You'll pretty quickly notice among all of her knick knacks and chachka's a sign that confirms that you are indeed at Island Notary and Live Scan. You'll then peruse her 5 million succulents and go up to the front door (which may or may not be open). Emi herself will come out and sweetly direct you to the sliding doors out back. Once she lets you in she'll chat you up (no small talk, Emi genuinely seems to care about her clients), and then before you know it, you're done! She charges a very reasonable amount (I believe my Live Scan was $27) especially considering this will be the quickest, most pleasant Live Scan experience you've ever had. I didn't have an appointmentl however I did call ahead of time (she texted me back within seconds and within an hour it was all done!). We opted for inside, as Emi disinfects and cleans between each customer visit, and keeps the windows and door ajar as to maximize air circulation.
