From the moment I walked in, the energy was inviting and refreshing. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They made sure I had everything I needed and explained the menu well. You could tell they take pride in their food and culture. The inside of the restaurant is painted a bright, vibrant green that immediately catches your eye. It feels fresh, clean, and full of life. Kompa music plays in the background, setting the perfect mood--it honestly made me want to dance while waiting for my food! The vibe is effortlessly Caribbean, transporting you without ever leaving the city. Portions were generous, and for the flavor and quality, it's more than worth it. Great value for an authentic Caribbean experience. You won't leave hungry! I went with my go to meal , which never disappoints! * Dinde Tassot (fried turkey): Crispy on the outside, tender inside. Seasoned to perfection--savory, flavorful, and with that bold Haitian kick. * Black rice (diri djon djon): Rich, earthy, and aromatic. You can tell it's made with love and tradition. * Macaroni with cheese: Creamy, cheesy, and made just right--comfort food at its best. Not baked, but still Great. I always order extra ! * Fried plantains: Golden and sweet with a perfect crisp on the outside. * Pikliz & gravy: The pikliz added that tangy, spicy crunch that ties everything together beautifully. The gravy? Poured it on everything! Can't wait to explore more on the menu !

I have never felt so unwelcome as a paying customer. I called ahead specifically to place a takeout…read moreorder and was told, rudely, that I could NOT place my order over the phone and that I had to physically come into the restaurant. I drove out of my way specifically because I was told I needed to come in. When I arrived, the young woman working was sitting on her phone and completely ignoring me. Instead of greeting me or acknowledging me as a customer, she eventually waved me over with an attitude as if I were inconveniencing her. To make matters worse, when I attempted to order the stew turkey I had specifically come there for, I was told they were out. I asked if they had just recently run out, and she said no -- which makes the entire situation even more frustrating. If you already knew you were out of an item, why have a customer drive all the way there just to place an order in person? A simple "we're out of that today" over the phone would have saved me the trip. The attitude from beginning to end was extremely rude and dismissive. I understand that people have bad days, but customers should not be made to feel like a nuisance for simply trying to spend their money at your establishment. And honestly, the restaurant was completely empty when I arrived. If you're trying to run a successful business and attract customers, treating the few customers who actually walk through your door with this kind of attitude is not the way to do it. I was willing to go out of my way to support this restaurant, and instead I left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. Customer service matters, regardless of who the customer is or what they look like. I will not be returning, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This is not a Haitian cake in charge people five dollars for this crappy of yours saying that you have a Haitian cake this is horrible. This thing is hard this I don't I don't know what to call it. This is not cake and I ask if I can bring that back to give me my money back because I do not want it. I wasted my gas a whole 90 minute to drive to this horrible place and in the first the first time I called her answer her phone like it's not a business. Ing this to the better business people if they do have the portal so I will be reporting that to the Better Business Bureau this makes no sense people that knows how to make cake don't start their cake like that and the seller want me to throw the Food or White and not doing anything about it so you want me to lose money but when you do some crap and not throwing it away, but you want me to lose money. I ordered djon djon (Haitian black mushroom rice) with Legume. The plate comes with a salad and plantains. This food was divine. It's inexpensive at $16 and sooooo much food. It was the perfect combination. My friend ordered her legume with white rice and then we ordered the griot platter. The griot came out sooooooo tender. I also order a Tablet which is peanut brittle. Delicious. Remind me of Haiti. If you're looking for some AMAZING food, Sandy's Bakery is the place to go to. It was packed with customers inside. This is NOT a dine in location, only take out. They have many items to choose from.

This establishment was huge, with a full bar, plenty of indoor seating, a separate carryout section, and outdoor seating as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided quick service. The menu had a great variety, offering everything from traditional main dishes to desserts and beverages. I ordered two doubles, which were okay--I've definitely had better--but the sweet bread was delicious! My sister had the pholourie, and my mom ordered the goat roti. The roti was filling but a little too spicy, even for us, and we definitely like some heat! Unfortunately, her cassava pone was a bit dry. Overall, there were some hits and a few misses, but there's plenty more on the menu I'd like to try. I'm sure I'll be returning for more Trini delights!

She replied very coldly "WITH WHAT?" And looked at me with big threatening eyes. When she placed the orders on our table, I said thank you but she did not even respond back to me. No spoons , no fork , no plates , absolutely nothing. We were sitting at our table with the food with no utensils. I had to go up front and grab everything myself. The waitress did not even come back to check on us. She took our orders and left , that's it. Honestly, owners can do better with training these ladies running the businesses. Very poor service. We will not be coming back.
