Reached out to Travis at Sharky's to see if he could help me fix the issue. He happened to have time the next day and came right out and did an amazing job replacing the pump and redoing the water lines. Not only did an amazing job with the replacement, but otherwise left no trace that he was there. Left the place spotless and cleaner than when he arrived. Great guy too. Highly recommend

We ordered from Chelsea at Big Rock Fabrications and all seemed great. Then attempted delivery…read morebecame an issue. The delivery driver showed up unannounced and left with the delivery at hand. Chelsea, from Big Rock Fabrications assured us that they had not attempted delivery. Delivery was attempted, just as our cameras had recorded. A couple of weeks later, the same truck and Company arrived with our rock. Transport claimed it had not tried to deliver the first time, Big Rock Fabrications told us it had not attempted to deliver as well. The cameras don't lie. However, we were happy to have our rock at hand ,we had a project to get started and we were excited to get started turning our back yard into a piece of paradise on the mainland. Unfortunately, we realized that multiple pallets of rock had arrived cracked and unusable. Once we notified Chelsea at Big Rock Fabrications of the situation with the broken rock that is when the ghosting began. We would call and receive the standard, "we are working on it". Then the phone calls began to be ignored. No information, no call back and no guidance and even hang ups. Basically they were great until they weren't. It is a shame that a business treats their customers this way. We were very patient and dealt with the situation very professionally and with aloha. Our contractor called, the subcontractor called, the homeowners called, all to no avail. They even started to screen the calls. They went out of their way to ignore us. It would have been easier to let us know it could take a while and explain the process. Our family from Hawaii wanted to help us and speak to Big Rock Fabrications. They would assure them that they were looking into it and we should hear from them real soon. Fast forward... we still do not have our rock. We have an unfinished project. We were not ever offered a solution. This is a big lesson for us, the homeowner. We had not updated our home in thirty years. We should have checked the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Had we done so we would have learned that Big Rock Fabrications is not BBB Accredited. That is their choice , but a company that is BBB Accredited builds trust with their customers, advertises honestly, tells the truth, is transparent, honors their promises, are responsive, safeguards privacy, and embody integrity. Big Rock Fabrications did not embody any of these characteristics through our process with them. @HGTV, Renovation Aloha, kamohaiandtristyn, do you really want to advertise and support a company like this? Kamohai and Tristan, each of your homes is so graciously blessed and honored by your Kapuna. We have been so dishonored and mistreated by Big Rock Fabrications, absolutely no aloha spirit. We do not recommend Big Rock Fabrications because if you spend your hard earned money as we did, you will be disappointed. I had 5 estimates and out of the 5 companies Ezra was the only honest, knowledgable, and trustworthy guy. I'm in construction and didn't trust the other companies. I wanted to do the demo and prep work to save money and Ezra worked with me every step. They did the tiling and installation of a new pump and filter system which uses half the electricity compared to the old system. As you can see in my pic the pool and pump system came out perfect! Before choosing a contractor do your research, get a few estimates, and then call Ezra at blue sky pools. You'll be happy you did!

Probably spent around $250,000 to renovate the pool area at my house and they never finished the job. Best I can piece together, after stringing me along for six months waiting for tiles to complete the project that never came, is that the pavers they sold me are no longer available. I must have been sold a "clearance item" without even a clearance price tag (not that I would have chosen to buy closeout products for exactly this reason). My only recourse now, since I cannot get the pavers to complete the project, is to rip the whole damn thing out and start over -- and hope the next contractor is more reputable.

Plus I felt it might be easier to return if I had a change of heart on my selection. From the outside, Fiddler's looked like a small, dated, dusty mom and pop store. I walked in to find the INSIDE exactly what I thought from the OUTSIDE. The fixtures were dusty and unpolished. The decor was very dated and the layout was a mish-mosh of brands, styles, and finishes from different designers. Keep in mind that these finish-products are pricey. I thought, such a disorganized and unwelcoming way to display your nice products...but, what the hell. The first person who approached me was a young lady who looked like she was in the middle of her lunch. I just asked for bathroom accessories and she pointed me in the direction. Cool. The second person who approached me was an older Asian lady. She was curt and almost condescending in her answer to my questions. Horrible! She was so unhelpful that I just ignored her after a minute of interaction and strolled around the rest of the store, being careful not to bump into any dusty, rusty displays. My final thought...local is NOT always better. Went the Fiddler's on a recommendation and will NOT be suggesting this joke of a place to any of my friends. Left the shop without buying anything. Went home to order everything through amazon.com, efaucets.com, and Fergussons (Expensive, but at least the customer service was stellar!). Sidenote: Asked other friends doing major renovations if they heard of Fiddler's, and they had similar stories to mine. Lol...How on earth are they still in business?
