I've always seen Georgia Peach in passing, so I decided to check it out. When I entered I was greeted immediately. I ordered the Smothered Turkey Wings with Mac and greens. It was wrapped very good, considering one wrong move and most of the to go containers would've spilled. I loved how it was packed. The smothered Turkey wings were amazing, the Mac and greens were perfectly seasoned. The space is not huge, to sit in and eat, but it is very clean and well organized. Ok, so I've typically enjoyed meals served here but today...not so much. Instead of two meaty, flavorful catfish fillets, I received one and a fourth of one. Always fried to perfection, but frankly...where's the meat?! One was on par as usual, the other, was crunch and no meat...catch as catch can. So disappointed with LOTS of string beans and very little potato salad, I think k I'll go back to Safeway and buy and fry my own. For me, it was a waste...unless you've got the $$ to splurge. The food is bad to good. It's more expensive than KFC, but at least at KFC everything is OK at the least. Some of the food was bad, a small portion was good, most was mediocre. They're so disorganised they got my order wrong and I had to correct them multiple times. Two stars for everything else, minus one star for their dishonest business practices. The food at GP has gone down immensely. I ordered smothered turkey wings and the rice was hard. The sweet potatoes tasted like they were steam in water . Definitely not baked !!! The Mac & cheese wasn't baked long enough because the cheese wasn't melted ( big hunk of cheese ). What ingredients do you use to prepare the M&C ? I don't know who Is cooking the food but it's not GOOD SOUL FOOD!!! I experienced this before and I' will not becoming back to GP. l will be going to your competitor , COLLINS!!! The service was good! But other reviews about the food are pretty accurate. I got the whiting, and I wanted to get a couple of chicken wings but there were feathers on them. So, I ordered the whiting which was refried, not fresh and it tasted old. Whiting is a mild fish but this had a strong, fishy aftertaste. I couldn't eat it. Mac & cheese was dry, but edible. The greens were bland. For a $20 platter, I'm pretty disappointed. I've had much better experiences at the Woodlawn location so I'll stick to them. read more

Ordered online. I got the catfish platter with two sides. I got yams and mac n cheese. I also ordered a small green bean and two baked chicken wings. When I got there I added a lemonade and a banana pudding. Catfish was slightly salty, yams were super sweet, Mac n cheese was fairly dry, green beans were regular, nothing special. The baked wings were super tender and flavorful, they were good. The lemonade tasted like diabetes in a cup and I haven't touched the banana pudding yet. I typically go to the Woodlawn location, this was my first time at the Owings mill location. I will stick to Woodlawn. The staff was cool and helpful, no issues there. No seating at this location unless you are waiting on food. The inside is nice and clean but this is only take-out. read more

Local staple in our community. Was craving Turkey wings and wasn't totally disappointed. They were cooked just (not too big like some I've had previously) gravy was tasteful however the rice was a little mushy(I'm sure that has happened to all of us at some point) cabbage was just okay -nothing to right home about but the yams weren't what I've had previously. I say that as they weren't sweet pretty bland(I've had better from here). The service was wonderful as I was greeted immediately once I entered the store and th e line moved quickly. I've been a customer since they opened over 10 years ago and I truly love the food. Parking is great, staff is friendly, location is clean, and the food is delicious. I used to get only the veggie platter (double greens, mac, and yams) for years, now I get the smothered chicken with mac and yams. We had it yesterday and it was very good. The Turkey wings were cooked to perfection ! The gravy was thick and spreadable . I never had gravy of that consistency before, I actually dipped my Turkey wings into the sauce like a boneless nugget. Soooo good! The service was friendly , just a couple of teenagers running the front of the business with nice professionalism. It is kinda hard to hear through the mask they wear so give them some grace and be kind. I also ordered a piece of chocolate cake but it was lacking. Their specialty is savory foods. I would stick with that. Maybe next time I'll try a piece of sweet potato pie if they have it. Anyways , if you want to impress someone with soul food I would go here . I did not try the food so this review is only related to the service. 4 of us walked in and because we had never been there before we were reviewing the menu board. We were close to the door and a male worker told us to move from in front of the door. He was right- we were unintentionally standing too close to the doorway. However, it was not what he said, it's how he said it. After telling us to move with an attitude, we all moved but continued to look at the meal options. He apparently was irritated that we were taking too long to look though it had only been 1-2min max. He went on to say that we needed to order and pointed to the other worker. There were NO customers there so I don't understand why he felt the need to rush us. It was like he didn't want to be at work. Once again, a disappointment with Georgia Peach. I said I wasn't coming back years ago, but a friend convinced me to try again. For $17 I got a for a very small and dry fried chicken breast and rice with no gravy, which I asked for gravy, cabbage and unseasoned macaroni and cheese. I asked for a 3 pc meal. The chicken meal was $12.49 and I paid an extra $4 for that disgusting macaroni and cheese. I will never again frequent Georgia Peach and I recommend you don't either. I had no issue with ordering or with the staff everyone was helpful and the food came out fresh and hot. Fresh hot seasoned fried flounder is what I ordered simply Amazing! Mac and cheese amazing! Baked and as u can see in the picture cheese is portioned throughout. They didn't cut any corners with ingredients you can tell. Greens were 4/5 but so what at this point. If I could give ZERO stars this would be the time.... I Ordered food for myself and my family from their online system, about $70+ worth. When I arrived and checked the food, one order of fries was missing. When I alerted the staff, they said that the order does not come with fries. I informed them that I paid extra for the fries, even showing them the online receipt that showed that I paid for the fries in question. Then the manager got involved and outright refused to give me the fries I payed for or refund the money I paid for the fries. He told me to take it up with the ordering site online because they were not supposed to charge me for extra fries. I said "sir, I am taking it up with you since the online order site is directly from this restaurant". Poor customer service! Ridiculous and never again!!! read more

The food overall is good. There are times when it's amazing honestly but that's the thing is Georgia Peach is inconsistent in how things taste sometimes. I have been eating here for years. I will come back time and time again to support but yeah the food is inconsistent in flavor often. Specifically the Mac and cheese, cabbage, and wings. The wings really do taste the same but sometimes they are really crispy and sometimes they are soggy. Like that you know. If I could give zero stars I would. This business is trash! The food is loaded with salt, and if that isn't enough they do not take orders over the phone, forcing online orders, or coming in. I ordered online and I guess the person who got the order may not read well, totally screwed entire order. When I called in they were having conversations with others while talking to me on the phone. The lack of professionalism, and customer service is just as sickening as the food. I thought Woodlawn location was bad, but Owings Mills is worse. Never again will they get my business. Though i will continue to support black businesses, not this one. read more
