I had the chance to book the early morning snorkeling tour in Turtle Canyon and wow, no regrets. If you have the availability to go out early, take it, as the waters will be much calmer due to less boat activity. Hospitality: Captain Preston has done an amazing job of setting up this tour and for being a young company, they are setting the bar. Alex and Nate were our guides this morning and I am very grateful to have had them there. They are engaging, fun, kind, and informative. I felt at ease going into the water and never felt unsafe or uncomfortable in their presence. They thoroughly went over safety rules and how to use the equipment. As well as providing tips for sea sickness, if needed. They also ensured us they would be nearby if we needed assistance or got tired. Drinks such as juice, water, and soda were provided which was extremely kind! Nate also went around and ensured everyone got photos both before and after we got in the water. Experience: Since we did have a smaller group, both Nate and Alex jumped in with us and guided us around the water as we snorkeled. We spotted over a dozen turtles and hundreds of fish (I counted like 12 different species). We were out in the water for almost an hour; first timers or if you're not confident about your swimming abilities, this is the perfect amount of time to be out there. Prepared to be wiped out and wanna take a nap afterwards. Bring sunscreen, a towel, and a gopro if you can! It was truly a magical and surreal experience that you can't get anywhere else. If and when I return to the islands, I will definitely book again. Thank you to the captain and crew once again, y'all were awesome! read more

Do not hesitate to book this tour. We went yesterday and are going again tomorrow. The crew is amazing and knowledgeable, they clearly love what they do. Since the capacity is 6 people, it's a more personalized experience than larger snorkel tours, they know your names and if you're going w small kids it's great bc they have their eye on everyone while you're looking underwater. I think we saw about 7 turtles and loads of fish, Kris knew all the species by name. Smaller newer company hence the lack of reviews on Yelp but we found thru TripAdvisor where they're rated 5 stars with plenty of reviews. read more

We had a great time. Emma, Alex and Alex were really informative and helped us identify all sorts of fish. They were very mindful of keeping us all safe and helped me back when I started to drift a bit away from the group. The sea life was wonderful and we got to see lots of turtles! If you need to get prescriptions goggles, they won't be able to accommodate, but they referred us to Snorkel Bob's who were also great! Go in the morning as that is when the waters are calmest and there is a bunch of activity. If you take the 7am slot, you will be one of the first before any other groups come to the area. This was the highlight of our trip! We took the 7am snorkeling tour with Captain Preston and Carlos and we got to watch a beautiful sunrise on the water. Despite it just being my boyfriend and I, they didn't cancel and we basically had a private tour. We were the first and only boat out on Turtle Canyon for the first 45 minutes of our swim. Despite choppy waters from strong winds, the boat ride was pretty smooth, thanks to Captain P. Carlos got in the water with us and showed us around the reef, explaining all the different fish, coral, and even brought a sea urchin up for us to hold. Carlos explained that fish and turtles are most active in the morning, and considering at one point, we had 5 turtles around us, he was definitely right. We saw over 10+ different turtles, tons of fish, and other sea life. Carlos kept checking in to make sure we were comfortable in the water and gave my boyfriend an extra floatie on top of our inflatable life vests when he sensed my boyfriend's discomfort and Captain P kept an eye on us from the boat. Plus both are lifeguard trained!! I would recommend this tour to everyone, it's small size allows for personalized attention and care. This tour is especially safe for kids as you have 2 people watching out for a small group vs the large boat of 40 with 3 instructors that came in as we were leaving, and it's the same price. I cannot recommend this enough!!! read more

My boyfriend and I booked this and it was so great! Maddy and Alex were the tour guides and Kristina was the captain. I booked a morning tour and was on island time so I was running late and called to let them know and they were able to book me in the afternoon. This was a blessing in disguise as the pm tours had great visibility and we saw lots of turtles and cool fish in the reef.
