This cruise was amazing for my family. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. As we set out to find spinner dolphins which they found, the staff explained to us about the island and its culture. They danced for us and played great music . The captain (Danny) was trying her best to find a great place to snorkel which she found . The lunch (turkey sandwich) was really good. My wife and I had an amazing boat tour experience from start to finish. We were picked up in Waikīkī and taken to the Wai'anae Small Boat Harbor, which made everything convenient and easy. They also offer a military discount, which we really appreciated. Once we got out on the water, the experience was unforgettable. We swam with colorful fish and sea turtles, saw dolphins, and even got to see false killer whales. It was truly a great day out at sea. The crew was exceptional: Capt. Dani, Ben, Faavae, Kania, Roxanne, Kirra, Bernard, and Keely all made the trip special. Keely deserves a special shout-out! This tour is very misleading online snd I want to make sure ppl know what they are signing up for. The staff was wonderful and very organized. But despite being called a "Dolphin and You" tour, there is only dolphin WATCHING from the boat -- no swimming with dolphins. They also only stop at one snorkel spot in shallow waters.m whereas most companies have you snorkel at 2. Maybe if I had never been on another tour, I would have thought this was good, but I'd only recommend this for people who want to mainly watch things from the boat and not snorkel. I honestly saw more marine life where I live in OC. On a previous tour with a different company, I swam in waters where dolphins were swimming all around and underneath me -- it was a core memory, and I was hoping to recreate that experience. They also don't let you swim very far from the boat, which made the experience feel overly restrictive. Because the website is not clear I will lay down the iternary: 6:00am pick-up from hotel (about 1.5 hrs to get there) Restroom stop at Fareharbor 1 hr dolphin watching--basically your just on a boat 1 hr snorkel--will see sparse fish 1 hr return--will give you sandwich and water cups no water bottles, temporary tattoo offered Return to hotel: another 1.5 hrs to drop everyone off etc Kind of waste of money $180+ and my precious vacation time. Also, be wary of the reviews. They offer incentives for leaving one. Sorry, but as a Yelp Elite, my honest opinion can't be bought. read more

Wonderful tour! The only thing was that we thought we would be swimming with the dolphins, but we were only be able to see them from the boat. We booked a last-minute turtle snorkeling tour for myself and my 13-year-old daughter, not knowing what to expect--and it ended up being the most amazing experience! The bus arrived right on time, and our driver, Cheryl, was awesome and hilarious. Once we got to the boat, Captain Zach was fantastic, and Leilani, our lovely hula dancer, added such a special touch to the whole experience. From start to finish, we loved every single second. The crew was fun, professional, and made us feel completely at ease. We were even lucky enough to see whales, which made the trip extra unforgettable! This tour was WASTED TIME AND MONEY!!!! After an hour drive from our hotel to the other side of the island. We did not see any turtles, dolphins or whales that they claimed we would see. We went snorkeling and saw the same fish we saw at the beach at our hotel. My husband and I brought 3 tickets (500 dollars plus) and they still tried to sale us other products and packages on the bus on the way to the boat. Overall we spent our money to get in the ocean on the other side of the island, a crew dance performance and 3 sandwiches.. OH And then they asked if they could take our pictures and when I gave them my phone, they decided to do a selfie photo shoot that I found later when looking through my phone very unprofessional and immature SAVE your money for something else! My friend was able to book us a spot and it was so much fun! Guaranteed to see dolphins or they will reimburse you. First they have a bus pick you up directly from your hotel and drive you to the docking station. We went on this lovely boat with an amazing crew. They took us to a great spot with some dolphins then you get to actually swim and snorkel for a bit. It's currently illegal to swim with the dolphins as they are nocturnal so when we were able to get into the ocean, we were able to see caves, fishes, and corral reefs. They also inflated a slide for us to slide off the top of the boat into the ocean. Lunch was provided - peanut butter jelly or ham and cheese sandwich with tortilla chips. They ended with some hula dancing, photos, and music playing throughout. The oceans, sky, mountains, views were amazing, relaxing, and peaceful. Our family of four joined the Dolphins and You 3-hr tour in December 2025 and we had a blast! All staff members made the experience so enjoyable. Tyler was the bus guide and his positive energy set the tour off to a great start. He clearly laid out the outline of the tour: 1st hour to see sea animals, 2nd hour of snorkeling with a boat slide, 3rd hour boat ride back including lunch and hula dancing. Driver Mahea greeted us warmly and safely drove the large bus from and to Waikiki. Captain Jerry was informative and included our 6-year-old daughter to "drive" the boat and it was a highlight of her Oahu trip. Ben and Kainoa were friendly, made sure we had the appropriate snorkeling gear/life jackets for the kids, and gave beautiful hula dances. Cyre had great energy and was informative on the boat ride. Flo and Faavae were great in guiding the water activities. We saw dolphins, snorkeled with turtles, enjoyed the boat ride, and appreciated how a little bit of the Hawaiian culture was incorporated into the tour. Thank you to this crew! read more

We had an excellent time on our Dolphins & You adventure from start to finish on 03/16/2025. This was our second time snorkeling in Oahu. The first company we snorkeled with in 7 years ago went under after covid which brought us to Dolphins & You. A few things we appreciated about this tour and crew: *The clean and well air conditioned bus was really nice. The seats, lighting, & music were comforting on our journey to Waianae. Our driver, Mahah, was safe & informative. Tyler provided us with a breakdown of the day and some of the additional purchases we could make for our adventure. Tyler also does the photography for the company and for dolphins in general. Although, we did not add the photo option, we saw some of the under water photos of individuals on our trip & they were pretty epic. *The boat & boat crew. We had an informative boat crew: Jerry, Tita, Ingrid, Brandon, Silas & Kai Noa. Tita gave us good information about the island and culture. We sang E Ho Mai upon entering the water. Tita, Ingrid, Brandon, & Silas danced hula, which was a lovely surprise- beautiful with the background of the mountains & being on the water. The boat felt safe & had all the toys you needed to have fun- slide, kayak, & paddle board. *Wildlife. We got to see bottlenose and spinner dolphins, and turtles throughout the ride. While snorkeling there were various fish. We had lunch near the end of the second hour of our tour. We got a mixture of the veggie option and turkey sandwich. Both were yummy! Wonderful, magical experience. We went on a dolphin tour with Captain Jerry, Jngrid, and Bennett as tour guides and it was such a wonderful experience. The first hour you spot dolphins, the captain knows where to find them. Captain stops the boat and lets everyone take pictures but the photo package is the way to go, if you don't get good pictures the photographer will. It's about $75 extra for photo packages but we got about 500-600 pics it's definitely worth it. The earlier cruise has less motion sickness than the second cruise so if you're sensitive be mindful of the timing. The second hour you move away from the dolphins which was disappointing, I really thought we would swim with dolphins, but it seems like it's now illegal to do that, I did feel a little deceived on that part. The snorkeling experience was great though we saw fish and green sea turtles and got to use their paddle board, inflatable boat, and huge slide. The last hour the tour guides perform a hula dance, the entire three hours were amazing. Don't skip. Some people on tour couldn't swim but you are equipped with life jackets and noodles to stay afloat. read more

So.. 10/10 would recommend. DISLIKED | DISLIKED | DISLIKED No option for either lap child or car seat for toddlers. Part of our crew couldn't ride the bus out so they had to rent a car. The bus was so big I wish we had more of an option for that. The tint on the windows distort the view too much! Riding an hour out, I was looking forward to enjoying the scenery and taking in the sights of Hawaii. However the dotted tint completely ruined that. I was so frustrated. All the beauty and nature local life and I could see NONE of it.. That really started my experience off with me being in a sour mood, and feeling like i'd missed so much. read more

The whole experience was amazing. The bus was easy to find and the drive was smooth. Our driver was Mehea. Once we arrived, the staff greeted us kindly and we removed our shoes complying with the no-shoe policy. On the first hour, we saw amazing dolphins and turtles. On the second hour we snorkeled in the reef and paddled boarded and kayaked. there was a fun water slide on the second level. Captain Dani was extremely nice and let us sit with her and pointed out cool animals. She spotted monk seals, dolphins, and turtles. The crew preformed dances and took great care of us. We purchased the photo package. Lauren, the photographer, took photos of us throughout the ride, in the water, and going down the water slide they inflated and put out over the starboard (right) side of the boat. On our way back, we saw a monk seal near the boat. We also saw another monk seal on the bus on the shore next to the road. Overall, the experience is great, highly recommend. read more

Definitely recommend this tour to anybody. We had the best time on this tour! Booked it on our birthday trip to Oahu and was the highlight of our trip. We got to see so many dolphins, snorkel to see some turtles, and even went down a 20 foot water slide to enjoy a nice swim in the ocean. The entire group was so friendly. Tyler was the best tour guide. He is so knowledgeable about the ocean life. He taught us so much about the dolphins and turtles we were seeing. He also got so many good pics of us. I took the Turtles and You excursion and it was the best ever! I may even do it again the same week. The captain and his crew, Jeremy, Zach, Rian (?) were amazing! They take such good care of you and make sure you're safe so it's great even for beginner snorkelers. Not only did they take us to a perfect place to see the sea turtles, but we also saw dolphins, humpback whales, breaching, and flying fish. They took us out to Diamondhead as well and on the way back, Reann(?) Performed a beautiful dance. It was something I will never forget and will definitely do it again! Most importantly, above everything, Tyler and Anon were excellent! Unfortunately the transportation pick up address (2424 Kalakaua Ave -Hyatt Hotel pick up) is not updated with Apple Maps. Due to making my reservations through my credit card portal, there was also no picture of what the pick up spot looked like. The pick up is off Koa Ave, not Kalakaua. If you use apple maps, a more accurate address is 2410 Koa Ave, and the pick up is at the stairs beside the car rental driveway. With that said, I am so so grateful to Tyler, Anon, and our driver who waited for us and we're still super kind the remaining of the trip.. It was Anon's first time translating in Japanese for the tour, and we thought she did amazing for her first time! It is a difficult task to translate/ interpret, then add on public speaking and then being on a loud bumpy boat, I give her props for doing so well, and I hope the rest of the crew can give her the same grace as she learns. The crew is definitely passionate about hawaii, preserving the water and land. I appreciate that they were invested in keeping the waters clean and free from debris (literally stopping the boat to pick up floating items, like plastic and teddy bears) so that the wildlife can enjoy their homes longer. Additionally, we felt very very safe on the boat, no bumping or rocking. the photo package included amazing photos, tyler did great at getting action shots of the dolphins and turtles. tyler was also very informative and knowledgeable of the marine life and ecosystem. you can tell that he loves what he does! read more

This crew made my (now) fiancée's proposal so incredible! Captain Zach made it a point to seek out whatever animal came into view, from dolphins to sea turtles and even flying fish! Brandon, Silas, and Kainoa were our entertainment-- we're talkin dancing, singing and TONS of educational content regarding not just the biodiversity but the island and its inhabitants. Brandon especially gave us insight as to the deeply sacred beliefs held by the people of Wai'anae and how the island itself was created. Tyler made sure to lead everyone to the sea turtles just below us while snorkeling; he managed to capture the most beautiful shots of our underwater proposal. He also included lovely photos of my engagement ring nestled into a conch shell, so so special!!! I've been on a few boat tours in Hawaii as well as various other places and this experience (engagement aside) was definitely the best encounter we've ever had. we had the best time during our dolphins & you tour yesterday 3/24. we opted to do the 1100a tour so we could get our morning hike on @ manoa falls. we were greeted at the harbor by friendly staff & detailed safety instructions. everyone made us feel welcome & comfortable. we even got to see a few humpback whales on our way to the dolphins! i can't say enough good things about this tour. i even scraped my leg after attempting to get off the paddle board & was immediately treated with care. i can't write this review without mentioning or giving an extra shout out to our tour guide RYAN & my daughter nataleigh's new bestie TITA. nataleigh has autism spectrum disorder & both of these super women treated her kindly, respectfully, & as if she was their own. i'm always nervous about these sort of things, but i truly appreciate the love they showed her throughout the tour. 5/5, 10/10, & highly recommend! read more

What an amazing crew; full of energy and you can feel that they genuinely care about your experience. Been on a couple of these excursions in Hawaii but I personally feel this has been the best one. We were lucky to have Captain Danny as she found us a pod of dolphins (around 30 of them) and I know it is not always guaranteed (of seeing dolphins) but I feel she is the BEST bet! Rae has an amazing skill for picture taking so I strongly recommend purchasing the picture package! He works so hard the entire excursion and the pictures are just so good! Cyrae was another crew member on our boat and she is great with kids! My 4 year old had endless list of questions and Cyrae spent such a long time answering everything, (Thank you Cyrae) Jeremy, Tita, Ben, Ingrid were all amazing and helped us have this memorable experience, thank you!! This was a great experience and one that we won't forget. Spending memorable time viewing the spinner dolphins and green sea turtles was simply unforgettable. The crew was amazing. They were all so friendly, funny and engaging. They made everyone feel like apart of the Hawaiian family. They were very respectful of nature, pointing out that we needed reef friendly sunblock and to pick up any sea trash if we were to encounter it while snorkeling. We had fantastic weather, great views and learned more about the history of the area and people. The only reason I put 4 stars was because the bus that drove us to Waikiki was entirely wrapped. Therefore, the views from the windows were muddled. Since you're driving for an hour plus it would be nice to have clear views out the window with the option to pull a shade if you didn't want it. It also made a few people in our party slightly motion sick. My suggestion is to wrap the main bus but keep the windows clear for rides if this distance. If it were a shorter drive then it wouldn't matter. read more
