I've been going to Crystal for 4 months now and I'm so happy with every manicure I've had! Every manicure still looks perfect by the time we get to the 3 (sometimes 4) week mark. Still glossy and shiny. I trim between appointments but it doesn't chip and the edges on the area of growth look very smooth and clean. After the first two sets, we switched to my natural nails with builder gel to prevent breakage. She's able to keep the coats nice and thin which I really appreciate. We did 3 cat eye manis in a row lol (all are apres astral collection that I brought with me bc I bought a bunch after seeing them on TikTok) and she always asks me how I like the magnet pattern before curing it. read more

No, nope, and never again. What's worse I brought a friend here to experience this as I had been to a different location and loved it. So first, when we went there most of the nail polish colors my friend wanted or I were out, but there was not way to know until your technician told you. We went through this process for a few rounds before finding out what colors weren't available. I wasn't use to this because usually other nail salons I go to either mark on the nails itself that it's out or take out that sample completely, so customers won't bother with it. Then when we had the nails done, I know they kept pushing my friend for a higher priced nail set, when she was clear and adamant he wasn't interested in the pricier items, but they wouldn't let it go. It's supposed to be a peaceful experience not an upsale. So getting my nails itself, done was okay. However, I was trying to salvage a bad situation with my friend, because what a horrible impression. When I go pay, I present my gift certificate. The cashier declines it. It's a Isle Pedi Spa gift certificate. Mind you, my husband had previously spoken to a manager about the gift certificates being lost, how they'd honor them, all that jazz. That was already handled. However, the front desk told me there was no manager on site and when she called "a manager" no one answered or picked up. I just don't think they wanted to accept it. So they have me wait. It's like 15, 20 minutes and the manager doesn't call back. What if it was an emergency and what establishment doesn't have a manager on duty? What if a lady got injured? So the front desk cashier, was like, leave your number and if they accept it they'll call you. To which I said, I rather just talk to the manager, regardless whether the gift certificate is honored or not to address my concerns. She does make a note of it, but no manager calls. I paid the full price, but I also feel money was wasted on gift certificates and this business pretended no manager was ever on duty to get away with this type of behavior. No thank you. There are way too many nail salons in Houston to put up with this kind of foolishness. Hell, I've gone to pricier ones and cheaper places with better customer service. Like I said there are a million great cheap and expensive place. This isn't it. An absolute pass. read more

Disappointing Service at Times I've been going here since the re-opening during the pandemic. It's expensive, but the service is usually good. I've had problems with an in-grown mail when I go to the very cheap salons. I've tried a few technicians and developed a favorite, who is able to keep my nail from getting ingrown. Not all of the technicians here are able to. So, it's worth it to me to pay more. But, sometimes, the service is lacking. I've called & made an appointment, but when I get there, they have no record. They confirm that the number I called is the right location, but I have to come back. Tonight, I went in for a 6:00 appointment. Was promptly seated & then nothing. I walked out a little after 6:15. For the price of services, I expect to be told if they are running behind, be greeted, something, pretty much anything, but this was not ok. read more

Today I went to Isle PediSpa for the first time time. I got a silk pedicure. I had a female attendant who was very nice. The pedicure www the best one I have ever had . My feet are very smooth, as she got off a lot of dead skin. The foot massage was very good! My biggest compliment is the sanitary conditions . I appreciate their concern for high health standards. Awful. Ab awful. My cuticles were shaved off and all my fingers were bleeding. I asked for a simple french tip in blue and pink and they did a terrible design job. The prices are high considering what wer were given. They cut my own nails down and they are all crooked even though i did not ask for the tip on the nails. I asked them to take if off and they soaked my nails in acetone which made my fingers bleed even more. After I went home the Dip still isnt off my fingers and it wont come off. im super dissapointed. read more

My second attempt at a Shellac manicure was not as successful. The nail attendant filed my entire nail bed with a rough file before applying the Shellac. This was not only unhealthy for my nail, but created a rough surface for the Shellac and here I am at day 7 with chips and peel backs on 3 nails. I am so disappointed. This manicure was too expensive to be peeling off. I'm going to head back to good 'ole Leon Nails to get my mani and pedi for $25 total. Those ladies are super nice and are great at taking care of natural nails. I will still come here for special occasions and keep them in mind when purchasing gift cards for friends, however I will not go here as often anymore. read more

This place solved all the dilemmas I have about getting my nails done. Most of the time, I think it's not really worth it to get my nails done because I really go to hang out with my girlfriends... I can paint my nails myself. But at your average nail salon, they don't always make sure you get seated with your friends in a way that you can actually spend time together. Isle Pedispa has private rooms available where about 3-4 people can get manicures or pedicures done together. I went with two of my friends and we were able to bask in gossip galore while trying out this magical shellac gel. I was able to get this incredibly sparkly gel on my nails and it still looks fantastic a week later. Everything is clean and the ladies are friendly. We were offered wine and water. There are personal flat screen TVs for clients' enjoyment. There is a "bath salt/scrub" "bar" too. Our appointments started right on time, and I never felt like they were rushing us even though I'm pretty sure there were appointments in that room right after us. They have guy-friendly and kid-friendly packages. It looks like a great place to kick off a bachelorette party or something. I docked one star because DAMN it is so expensive. The shellac really lasts though, so it might be worth it to pamper yourself every now and then. read more

This nail salon presents itself as high-end and although they attempt with quality products, individualized attention, and a comfortable atmosphere underneath that, they fall short. A regular manicure and pedicure here is $75. Let's just say you can find something equal to or better in so many other salons in Houston for less. Point is, for what you're paying you're getting average service at best. This chain of salons advertises themselves as putting their clients health and safety first through their use of clean tools and hypo-allergenic materials. Yeah, it all sound good on paper but after receiving a heating treatment on the neck area, it left a mild burn on the skin, even after requesting that they remove the towel early. I understand no one would've been able to predict a skin reaction like this, but the real issue was HOW they handled the issue afterwards. BEWARE of seedy business practices by private salon owners like this who "make the rules up as they go". No attempt was made to address or alleviate the issue beyond "Oh, we're sorry" or "This has never happened before". Neither of which address the problem: my skin is burned. No offer was made to refund or provide any follow up service to alleviate the burn. BOTTOM LINE: poor professionalism, lack of understanding of skin treatment and possible risks, and overall no BANG for your BUCK! Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. read more

My girlfriend Lisa took me here as part of an awesome pre-wedding beauty day. We relaxed while we got our pedicures (my first, actually!) and chatted about work and our upcoming vacations, and chatted with the nice ladies also. We were offered drinks, and were given plenty of time to choose the right color to go with my wedding dress, and something funky for my friend to wear to a cocktail party. After our toes had dried, we got our eyebrows waxed (another first for me, so I was quite nervous!). It stung a little, but my face didn't get too red, and they gave me an icy wash rag to hold there for a few minutes just in case. I have very light hair and wasn't sure if it would make a difference but a little wax and trim at the top actually made my eyebrows appear fuller, and I loved the shape. The following weekend we returned and got manicures. I got a lighter pink color on my natural nails. The length and shape turned out perfect. Lisa got another fun glittery color on her nails. They also put acrylic on just one of her nails, which she was worried about, but by the time they were finished, you couldn't tell which one. I got really into the whole girly pamper yourself thing getting ready for my wedding. I'm sure Isle is pricier than some places, but it's in a great part of town, and the staff really takes care of you. I will definitely visit this place again. This is hands down the best overall pedicure experience I've had in Houston. They have a huge menu of creative aromatherapy pedicure treatments to choose from, I had the Cucumber. My feet have never been so soft. If you get a pedicure every week this may not be the place for that, since they are around $60-70 a pedi...but so worth it when you feel like treating yourself or want a spa day with friends. I never had a mani where they didnt soak my cuticles. When she finished though they looked nice. Day 2 and I am starting to see the unevenness of the snipping of cuticles, which I dont expect to be perfect but it is now day 3 and I am now getting hangnails. She wasnt really friendly either. Tina did my pedi and she was great. I would def come back and have her work on me again. Be prepared to splurge. I did the coconut milk one and honestly it didnt really feel much of a difference. If I come back, I would probably just do a standard pedi. Even though they dont have massage chairs, he buffed my feet til they were soft (they were very dry) and even fixed some of the damage from the last salon I went to that tore my skin. I wanted a dip manicure and obviously wanted it to look natural. I had a girl named crystal. She did 1 bottom layer, 4 regular coats, and 1 top layer. My nail was SO thick you'd think I had dip on top of acrylics. She kept telling me how natural they looked. I didn't say a thing to my boyfriend and the first thing he asked when he saw me was "what happened to your nails? They're an inch and a half thick". I immediately went to a different nail salon and had them take all of it off because it looked so horrible. After she took it all off, she made a comment about how my nails were ruined. They were so thin from whatever crystal had done, that she didn't even want to put gel on top of them. I convinced her to put gel on, and 2 weeks later my nails are all breaking off. They're bending completely backwards and cracking off. My nails have NEVER done this before and I'm extremely disappointed that my nails looked so bad to begin with and now are so thin that they are breaking. I will never go back. read more

Private red room for pedispa for 2! We were lucky, had called in RSVP 1wk ago for sat 0900. Front desk had 4 people, lotsa products for sale too. The room was great, with a chandelier. Given free hot tea. There's a green room we'll ask for next time! She asked for nail art, but they didn't have the equipment. It was nice to get to talk to my girlfriend. It would have been better if the nail techs weren't so loud with their own conversation. $53 for 1 h pedisage with additional scrub. Clean. The salon was very clean and modern. Service was great, from the reception to the technician (Thi was her name). They called me back before my appointment time and immediately offered me a complimentary glass of wine or water (I opted for the wine, of course). Everyone was very nice and friendly. I went on a Wednesday at 5 pm and there were only 2 or 3 other customers there so it was very quiet and relaxing. My manicure was pretty good but not amazing, which is the reason I can't give 5 stars. I wish she would've worked more on my cuticles and skin around my nails. And she left off polish on the bottom of the nail (close to the skin). Also, one of my nails is smudged and I didn't notice it until today (I was there yesterday). That could've been my fault, just wish I would've noticed yesterday. I got the naturale manicure ($36). Not bad on pricing for that, but their pedis can get pretty expensive. This place is the BEST nail salon in Houston but it comes at a price. You could easily spend close to $100 here especially for a mani/pedi. I wouldn't come here on a regular basis but when I do they do an amazing job. My cuticles are very sensitive and I am prone to hangnails but Honey and Cola both take their time and do an amazing job. They always have the best new colors and polishes available. They don't charge extra for OPI infinite shine or Essie couture polish. The cons: front desk is very hard to get ahold of. I have been put on hold for close to 10 minutes before. I go here regularly and I don't ever see them being busy for 10 minutes at a time. Parking is tight during peak hours and I've had to park on the street far away multiple times. However I'll keep coming back for the excellent manicures that don't hurt you or cause you to bleed. 4/5 stars mainly for the price! read more

A standard pedicure here costs over $40 and doesn't come with any extras (e.g., paraffin wax). Because it's so nice inside I usually feel totally pampered while I'm there, but feel somehow let down after it's all said and done. Day to day, I'd prefer a massage chair and my standard $25 never fail pedicure down the street. But this place has redeeming qualities, especially for special occasions: private suites for couples' mani/pedis, super upscale add-ons (think champagne foot baths), and specialized services for little ones. When I asked how much extra the silk would be on top of standard for my mani she said $10...well it was either + $25 or +45, honestly I can't tell from the receipt. My friend paid for my pedi, so I should've only been charged for the mani & shoes I bought bc they told me I couldn't wear my boots for 4 hours. FOUR hours?? That's a 1st-but the shoes were cute. My bill for a mani & mentioned extras was $133. Seriously?! And 1 day post-my cuticles are not soft, don't look great and neither do the bottoms of my feet. I get regular mani/pedis so it's not like my feet were horrid. I don't know about the other locations or if going on a Sunday makes a difference, but I am not impressed. Wasn't too impressed by this place. Two of my friends and I were shopping in rice village and decided to get our nails done. I called around and this place had an opening in the next hour for 3. It was great and they gave us a private room, but it wasn't the best experience I've had a nail salon. There were too many nail technicians in the room and I could barely enjoy the company of my friends. I also ended up paying about $120 after tip which seemed high considering we got a basic mani/pedi. I also wasn't too impressed by the quality. Can anyone tell me how 2 basic pedicures and a manicure can come to 200.00 not including tip. I had to have them soak off old gel. This was not a fancy Beverly Hills salon, it was a strip mall salon. I would first like to say that the technicians were very friendly and actually talked to me which is always nice. The decor inside is mostly what I have heard about and the reason I was talked into going. I was not that impressed. I loved the bamboo flooring. However, the front area was way too crowded with retail merchandise and lacked an adequate amount of seating. The back area, too,seemed crowded to me. Once I got to sit down, I first thought the individual "cubbies" would be nice. However, the foot bath did not have jets, in which I was really looking forward to, and the "chairs" were more like benches and without the massage capability, again, in which I was also looking forward to. So they were not as nice as I expected. I also did not like the fact that I was already paying like $43 for the pedicure and had to pay $6 extra for the foot scrub. I also asked for the shellac polish as in the polish that stays for two weeks. I did not necessarily mean the Shellac brand only. They were very limited on the Shellac brand colors, but later the techs informed me that they 130 colors of the Gelish brand. Well dang. That would have been nice to know when I was choosing a color. The Shellac was $50 and the Gellish brand was $55 I was told. Holy cow!!! All in all, it was definitely not worth the $99 I paid (not including tip). One: this place is open until 9 on Fridays. Two: I wanted a manicure. That takes half an hour. Their pedicure menu is amazing - their Mommy to Be pedicure is what got me through my Spring/Summer pregnancy and now I love their Sole Relief since I am back in my heels. They have a guarantee that if your nails chip within a certain time frame they will fix them, and their pedicures last weeks. They do such a good job. I love the polish brand Zoya and they have a huge collection of Zoya and OPI colors. This place is definitely more of a treat, so I only go every once and awhile, but it's worth it. First off I will say the customer service and quality of work I received (I think the technician was named Jenny?) was excellent. She did a flawless job with my pedicure yesterday and was very professional. On several occasions she asked me about my preferences to ensure I would get exactly what I wanted. However, I was shocked when I learned the tab for my basic, no-frills pedicure would be $43. My jaw almost hit the floor when I saw they have pedicures all the way up to about 90 bucks. What! The environment was clean and more modern than most nail salons, however I was not a fan of the pedicure "chairs". Rather than a regular, reclining massage chair, they have individual booths- just like a restaurant booth. You are sitting at a 90 degree angle against a firm, padded wall with a few sad, lifeless throw pillows. I was not comfortable sitting in it. The private TV in my booth was not working, and I'm assuming this may have been true for everyone else because we were all staring awkwardly across the room at each other with nothing to watch. read more

They even give you your file to keep after they use it on you! I love it! I don't have to make small talk if I don't want to. I don't have to see the poor pedicurist breaking a sweat while filing down nasty gorilla feet. And I don't have to worry about the cleanliness! No worries! Now this is relaxing! read more

This was the 3rd place I've tried for a pedicure (not counting my unanswered call to Bliss Spa) and the only one I'm returning to. In Chicago, there is a nail salon on every corner and you don't have to make an appointment. A full-service pedicure costs about $30, so clearly things here are a little different. I was able to schedule a same-day pedicure a couple weeks ago and was really satisfied with my service. Nicole was really sweet and did a great job rehabbing my feet. I am not one of those people that has to have a lengthy conversation with my manicurist, nor do I feel slighted if they're not particularly talkative. IMO, the paint job is the most important part. I'll overlook a callus that isn't completely addressed, but a sloppy paint application really makes me mad. Nicole did a superb job on my toes. I'll definitely return! read more

I had my 1st mani/pedi at this salon today and I doubt I'll be back. My nails look great but no better than other places that cost almost 1/2 of what they charge here. My main issue was with the service. I went with a friend who had been one time before. When we sat down for our pedis, we were tasked with looking at a very lengthy service list. The descriptions are written in paragraph form so you have to read the whole thing and the whole list to see which pedi you want. I selected mine and the girl doing my friends nails started pressuring her to do the same one. She agreed but then got down 2 more descriptions and found what she really wanted. When she told the woman that she changed her mind, the nail tech was visibly annoyed. My friend apologized, unneccesarily I would say, and the woman wouldn't even answer her. About 1/2 way through pedicures, the woman doing my friend's pedi took a phone call. Actually turned around in her chair and put her back to us and talked on the phone. Rude and annoying. I also got a manicure and it was nothing special. There was barely a massage and it was only my arms, not my hands. Literally less than a minute on each arm. Again, except for the fact that you get your pedi in this little private booth, it was no better than any other decent spa pedi at a regular nail salon. Lastly, when we went to pay, I started to add a gratuity on my CC receipt. The receptionist stopped me and said they only allow cash tips. Luckily I had cash on me but I asked why and she said "New IRS rules. The IRS really doesn't want us taking tips on credit cards." Um, lie. Either her management told her that lie or she made it up, but it's a lie and I really hate being inconvenienced and then lied to. read more
