I'm all for small business but my only experience with iSmashed went like this. Android user; kind of a roughneck. Have a working cattle ranch; primary paycheck comes from communications. This means your cell phone works because of my industry. Guess I'm the Pig Pen of Hays County. Awhile back when my charging port stopped there was a similar business in Bee Cave. I'd walk in and less than 5 minutes I walked out no charge. Call me when you break your screen he'd tell me. Flash forward a few years and enter this business. I'd survived on Android Auto BT devices and wireless chargers for years. My port needed to actually work. Explained what I needed and he quoted I think $35. I could be plus or minus $8; even searched all my transactions for the actual total. Six minutes of work.....Told him the same story I told above and I get quips like that don't pay the bills brah. It's a good deal MAAAAN. Well, I just ordered the S26 Ultra folks. It's coming but a special surprise via the Samsung rep in the nearby Belterra shopping center. I have found my answer to broken screens or screen protectors. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They had screen protectors in stock for mine and my daughter's phones (iPhone 13 & 15). He was able to change them out for us in about 5 minutes. No waiting in line, easy parking and a very fair price. I jumped into a pool to pull my toddler out (even though we've been working all summer on it, he's not as good of a swimmer as I anticipated). Apple says their iPhone 14 is waterproof, but I quickly learned that that isn't true. My camera lenses started fogging up and the phone began having performance issues. This is my go to place to get my iPhones fixed. They are always professional, and the turn around is usually about a day or so. I recently brought in a phone that I tried to fix myself based of a YouTube video that made it look like a quick fix. Needless to say, it didn't work, so I ended up bringing it in. I was initially quoted a price to have the whole piece replaced. Fortunately, they were able fix it without having to replace the part for a much cheaper price! Well, I was taking tables one evening and spilled a tray of water in my apron with my phone in the pocket.. yeah. It drowned. Went here May 2022 for a cracked screen on my iPhone. Was offered to replace my screen with a new iPhone screen or a generic OLED screen for less cost. Opted for the OLED screen - BIG MISTAKE!! I've had nothing but problems every since my screen was replaced here!! My phone battery was fine before, now it goes from full to nothing left in 4 hours of no use or 1 hour of use!! My screen freezes and gets stuck at least once or twice a week and I have some keys that I type that are always incorrect now. I called Apple and found out if I had just taken my phone to them, a new apple screen would have been much cheaper and worked better. Not to mention they said a generic screen depletes the battery much faster! I was not told this before I replaced my screen! I contacted the owner within a week of replacing my screen to inform him of the issues I was having and was basically told I was a liar and that he would give me a 50% refund if I brought the screen back that day. Horrible service here - don't make the mistake of overpaying here for a service Apple can do better and cheaper!! And apple stands behind their service, unlike this place. read more

I got my screen replaced at iSmashed in Wimberley yesterday. Everything looked fine after instillation, but found that it had cracked in my BACK POCKET hours later. I assured the man at the counter that I had not dropped the phone, and that it somehow cracked while sitting on it? I've always carried my phone in my back pocket, and never had a screen break this way. He told me that the phone must have been dropped. I don't like being called a liar. Iphone 6S. Battery worn out. Charger port suspect. Apple wouldn't fix it because they saw a red moisture indicator. They wanted to sell me a new one. So I found iSmashed. I live close by so I asked them to call me when they are ready. They did and I went right over. 30 minutes later I had a new battery. I thought I might need a charger port but they said it was fine. Well what can I say that quite a lot of other folks have already said. Great place, Great Service, My kind of place. I recently went in for a screen protector on my I Phone and the gentleman was repairing another phone. He asked if I could wait for 20 min while he was finishing up the repair. Unfortunately I could not but I returned later to get my screen protector put on. After he installed the protector I informed him I was on there screen protector plan and he said "Don't worry about it. Since you had to come back". Great folks and Great service! These are real people, with real solutions! Scott accurately diagnosed the problem over the phone and confirmed it when I got there. Apple had told me my phone was totally fried after hooking it up to some fancy machine that could not detect it was the charge port???? They told me it was the logic board... almost convinced me to buy a new phone... Worst was my heartbreak over losing my photos and notes as I don't have it hooked up to the cloud.
