Headed to Maui next week and just learned I need a rashguard shirt. Even though it's HI, the water will be cool and the sun intense. My Michigan skin will surely ruin our trip without the proper protection and gear. I called the shop and spoke to Dave. They are open until 5pm, but if you need alternative hours, they are will to accommodate requests. I require a plus women's size and don't like men's fit. Dave pulled some items that might work and I was able to try them on there. I happily left with a seafoam, long sleeve in 2XL Tall!!! inconceivable! iSnorkel has a nice little showroom, with a huge selection in the back, just waiting to be picked. Snorkel gear, beach wear, floats and all kinds and sizes of wetsuits. I believe they used to be Huron Dive and Scuba (or something like that). Dave explained that they carry a wide array of sizes for all shapes, male or female. I am looking forward to the 9" boardshorts with stretch, coming in a couple months. It was not difficult to get an appointment to look at equipment at iSnorkel. I was greeted by Dave and he took as much time I needed to 1/ answer questions 2/ show me products I was interested in purchasing 3/ try on different products 4/ offer tips on how to use and care for equipment I've never been disappointed shopping there. I don't feel pressure to buy anything. I've been snorkeling/scuba diving for 50 years and know what I want and with all the experience Dave has, he never makes me feel like I'm a rookie---respect, I like that. read more

Twice in the past few years I have received exceptional service from Dave and his wife. I live in the San Diego area (where we have plenty of surf shops), but I will continue to patronize iSnorkel remotely due to the service I received. I wear an unusual size (XLS), and when they were unable to order this size for me in a front zip full wetsuit, they took the effort to call me and tell me that they found the suit at another vendor (and told me how to contact them). They spent a lot of time with me, yet forfeited a potential commission to help me out. That is the definition of great service. read more

Being a surfer there is nothing more exciting than getting a new wetsuit especially after a decade. Let's preface this as a parent and dad you rarely buy stuff for yourself. So after recently purchasing my kids new wetsuits, I decided to breakdown and buy a new one . I did not want to go back to the surf shop so I decided to buy one online. Like most busy people we turn to eBay and Amazon. So knowing what I wanted , I looked it up found it on eBay via Isnorkel. Never have had any issues with eBay purchases until dealing with this company. The item arrived damaged and I noticed a small hole in the left shoulder. I go to the website as directed for returns or exchanges, their policy you must buy a new one and wait for a refund. They just sent me a damaged product , so now I must pay Twice, and hope they send me a non damaged wetsuit and then hope they refund me. Why I say hope for a refund : 1) the return policy is consumer must pay for return shipping via the consumers carrier of choice, with tracking and insurance 2) production must be returned in originally packaging following a specific folding diagram and using the 2 enclosed neoprene folding tubes and styrofoam sheets. It took a few tries to get the folding close but I realized I could not return it folded as desired because they only shipped it with one neoprene waist , knee and shoulder folding tube not the two diagramed . Well an hour refolding and packaging, an hour driving to ups, than a week passes and no acknowledgement they received my product ups says it was delivered. Well I call Jerry from Isnorkel ,and he tells me they would not return it because I damaged the product by opening it with scissors. I have 5 witness who with great fan fair watched me Open this Package. He said they came to this conclusion because after unfolding the wetsuit , the packaging that had been opened thrown away , taken out of the trash that when they refolded the packaging they found a three mm hole in the outer plastic bag and inner styrofoam that perfectly lined up with the 3mm crack in the wetsuit. He said he folds 1000s of wetsuits and he can fold every wetsuit exactly the same that's how they concluded I damaged the wetsuit during opening. I argued why would I use scissors to open something I know can be damaged. I told him he's basically calling me a liar and they are not giving me a refund . So they are disputing the return. I'm out 30dollats for shipping, 160 for the damaged wetsuit, and an additional 160 tobuy a new one from Amazon. Don't ever buy anything from this company they a selling damaged wetsuits or blems and Trying to blame the consumer. One choice was to deal with O'Neil directly, but it's clear they just want to keep your money and tell consumers to piss off. Funny you can wear one of their wetsuits as a trial , go to the bathroom in it Like all surfers and divers do and they say you can return in no problem. Yet a damaged wetsuit only tried in in your living room with tags they are going to say the consumer damaged it. They should maybe ship their products in boxes like amazon with bubble wrap to prevent damage but it's clear they are not consumer friendly. Do not buy anything from this company via eBay or amazon , if amazon allows such a dishonest company even sale on there site. You have been warned. I was so excited to get a new wetsuit after a decade and this terrible company is blaming me for their product being damage , prior to shipment, or during shipment. I was given the option I could do it with O'Neill directly But they should deal with O'Neill just because I live in California why should I have to go to O'Neill for a defective wetsuit. Their product arrived damaged they cheap out on their packaging by using a plastic bag bought a product that can't be damaged and shipping. They try to wear you out did not return it by having you pay for returns, They Have specific folding instructions That make an IKEA instruction book looks simple and forewarn the consumer that if it's not folded exactly it may void your ability to return that damaged good. This company tries to come up with all the excuses possible why not to give your money back and today a lot of people get tired and just give up this is wrong and the way they treated me and Basically called me a liar say are you scissors to open up a product when I have five witnesses that I did not. All in all the customer service here is crap they said they will fight the return with eBay I advise you never buy from this company no matter what product because it is clear their goal is to have eBay pay you through insurance so They can't keep your money keep the defective product and laugh all the way to the bank while the consumer is completely frustrated about the entire transaction read more
