I could not access my unit that I had already paid for so I called the number at the front desk because the office was closed. No one answered. I called the emergency line and nobody answered so I had a crew of six people being paid $600 an hour so I then left went to another storage unit and rented another unit at a different company the following week they attempted to charge me for this and I disputed it with my credit card I have a video of the unit being locked at the same time that it was supposed to be mine obviously, the credit card company rejected it because they know it was more than clear that I didn't receive the product that I paid for it. Now fast-forward three months later and they sent me to collections for a unit that I never even was able to access. The lady in the front was absolutely terrible at her job. She is just lazy and obviously not capable of the position. I never received an apology and then they actually tried to charge me for it and sent me to collections.. I have now called and left a voicemail at the corporate offices. I am anticipating an apology letter, but either way the rest of the knoxville area needs to understand. You should NEVER use this place, not only was it more expensive than the competition, they literally will rent u a locked space.

Went to move my items out August 10th to find my unit completely infested with cockroaches. Went to speak to the lady working in the office and she said "We can't control what other people bring in." No solutions. No apologies. I have no choice but to move my cockroach infested things into my new home, which now I have to pay for an exterminator on top of the costs of moving into a new place. I called and left a message asking if there was any way to resolve this (I would think a good business owner would do something about this), but I still haven't received a call back. Regardless if "you can't control what others bring in", you can take preventative measures for infestations and refund people for the unit rent or SOMETHING. We rented a space for some of my daughter's furniture, for two months in the summer, while she was between leases at UTK. Her possessions were there for 2 months total. 2 months! When we came back to get it, EVERYTHING HAD MOLD. The lady up front said that there was nothing that they could or would do and that, if we had just purchased their insurance, we would have been covered. We did not get the insurance because we were not concerned about a catastrophic event. In my wildest dreams, I would have never guessed that we would get a mold infestation in this place. Below, you will see images of the Mold on the walls. Apparently, rain had just been coming straight into the walls of this place. I told the lady up front that the facility had major issues. She said that the facility did not have an issue and that I should have just gotten the insurance. We are not done pursuing this. This place is clearly being neglected by the owners, and we will not tolerate it. I am posting here so that any future potential customers can see what we saw when we went back to the site to get my daughters items. It is truly unbelievable. I REPEAT - DO NOT RENT SPACE HERE...NO MATTER WHAT. There was so much moisture in the space that wooden drawers are permanently swollen shut. We have rented non-conditioned space plenty of times before. That is not the issue here. This is an issue of wildly unchecked neglect. I have way more photos

More things were broken and damaged than I can list in this space. They even caught a box on fire…read morefrom setting it on the stove and somehow turning a burner on. They dropped residue on the floor and burned places in the floor. They also damaged a hutch and knocked a hole in the wall at the same time. We had broken dishes, scarred, furniture, and worst of all the manager refused to talk to us for a long time. It was a nightmare of a move and we have moved several times. A few things were eventually repaired but not everything like the ceramic angels from our mothers' funerals that were beheaded. They were triple bubble wrapped and also wrapped withh other packing material and nothing else was in the box with them. There was too much damage to write here.

while very nice gentleman, it is disappointing to pay such a high fee for bottom level service…read more Firstly, they wouldn't wrap the couch, because that made it hard to grip. I did not observe them using any moving straps or tools that would be expected to protect both their bodies and your furniture. this apparently meant they also did not wrap any sort of protection inside the truck, as there are now numerous stains on my couch I will be dealing with, when it was in almost perfect condition prior to move. this also goes for repeatedly only using one person to move large items, mattress , credenza, etc. and resulted in the item/furniture being slammed to the ground upon placing it in the new dwelling. I watched this happed multiple times, where if they had just been working together my furniture and floor wouldn't be suffering damage. finally, my mom had spent an enormous amount of time largely labeling each box, and every room was grouped together at load in. even though they moved each room out one at a time, they did not load them into the truck in the same spot. this resulted in every single load on move in having to separate EVERY box off of the dolly into different rooms, and even then, extremely clearly boxes were in the wrong room. I paid a lot of money because I can't lift the heavy boxes with my disability, and it was a waste of money because I still had to move so many of the boxes to different rooms. on top of that, they wedged the boxes into the closet so boxes are scraping walls, and I couldn't move one box without starting from the top of the mountain and moving every box out. save your money, sell your furniture when you move and just buy new. not worth the hassle, expense, and damage of using two men and a truck. or use a better company
