DELICIOUS! Now I know the corner store it's located in (TIC-TOC) looks sketchy! But trust me the woman in there THROWS DOWN! Everything made to order My friend got the 20 pc sweet chili wings with fries , and I got the Soul Food plate (only available on SUNDAYS) Garlic roasted chicken with white rice n gravy , cabbage . Even though it came with two sides , I couldn't decide , she still gave me some Mac n cheese on the side just to try ! I loveeee the southern hospitality , and this hole in the way it's TRIPLES CERTIFIED 5 STARS! Going back soon as a I get a chance ! I found this place on yelp- don't let other reviews hold you back from potentially amazing food P.s she's closed every Monday !

Had a wonderful experience and dining at this restaurant. I arrived 10 minutes before it opened with my coworker and the lady that owned the place was just coming in. Her customer service was excellent and it reminded me of a auntie cooking us for lunch. I would definitely return to this establishment while in the area.

The name says it all...it is what it is. Located in a Shell gas station should have been an indication if the name was not enough. The experience left a lot to be desired, tried the three whole wings which came with fries and let's just say it was not an experience I would repeat. They were over cooked and you could tell the oil needed to be changed. Struggled through the first two pieces before giving up. This Miami however found a childhood treat at the gas station "NOW AND LATERS", that made the experience slightly OK. Who am I kidding...my recommendation would be a NO. It is what it is...no mas!

Decent selection of food, but most of it at room temperature or close. I didn't dare eat the chicken when it was clear that it had been sitting there for a while at room temperature, will be shocked if I'm not sick tomorrow. Same with the cobbler. I tried the rolls and garlic bread - both so hard as to be completely unpalatable. Salad bar was probably the best part, but everything there was very low quality as well. Beyond that, the food is all very underseasoned and bland. And how do you make cheesecake bland? I mean, how is that possible? All the server had to do was give my a seat, some water and clean utensils, and I did get a seat - but the knife had a big blob of something green stuck to it. They brought me a new glass of water when the first when dry, but it had a funny/bitter flavor that wasn't there in the first one. Considering the fact that the knife wasn't clean, I would assume the same went for the glasses. Worst of all, I left a tip at the table (not required for a buffet, and certainly not earned as noted above); but when I declined to tip at checkout, they had the nerve to ask if I had tipped at the table - as if tipping was somehow required. And then argued with me when I made it clear that asking was inappropriate. Incredibly rude and a terrible way to treat customers. I should have made more of a scene, but I calmly made my point clear, no need for more drama. Will not be going back, and will suggest nobody else does either - if you want a reasonable buffet experience anyway. Edited to add: After writing this review, I decided to research to see if I was the only one that had a bad experience, and found a LOT. On Yelp, they have more one star reviews that two, three or four stars - making me think that many of the 5 star reviews are not legit. Just go to Yelp, and sort by newest first, to see that 3 of the last 5 reviews were one star - 4 of 6 if you include mine. Also, according to the AJC, this restaurant has had multiple failed health inspections in just the last five years: November 2025: Scored 59/U (Unsatisfactory). Violations included food not held at proper temperatures and cross-contamination issues. December 2021: Scored 52/U (Unsatisfactory). The restaurant failed its routine inspection after staff were observed failing to wash hands, alongside improper food storage and temperature violations. May 2021: Scored 37/U (Unsatisfactory) 37? 37?? That's not just a fail, that's a not even trying.

They were super busy at all locations since tens of thousands of people flocked to Atlanta last weekend, which I'm fine with because they were busy last year when I went as well. Right after we had ordered, they actually stopped taking orders for a bit so they could clear the place out! My food was done probably in 20 or 30 minutes, looked great when it was shown to me, but after eating it, I can say that the chicken was quite literally the only good part. The rice and vegetables tasted like it was bought in the freezer section at a store, definitely not fried fresh and you can tell the difference. I ended up only eating the chicken and throwing the rest away. Running a place with high demand I can understand if it is from the freezer because orders need to go out in a timely manner, but it was unacceptable and really surprised me coming from you guys. I'll still give my business to you, but I'll never get the Hibachi again.

It's located right in the heart of downtown Tucker, with plenty of parking on the side and a spacious interior, including a private dining room for large parties. We came around 2:30 PM, after the lunch rush, so it wasn't too busy. The setup is cafeteria-style -- you grab a tray, walk down the line, and let the servers know what you'd like. Everything is à la carte, with entrées around $6-$8 and sides about $2.50-$3, so you're looking at roughly $15 per person for a full meal -- not bad at all. Everyday they have a different set menu of what they serve so you get a mixture. We ordered a bit of everything. I'm a big meatloaf fan, so I had to try it -- but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my hopes. It didn't look very appetizing and the texture was overly ground and slightly gritty because it was a bit dry. It comes with your choice of gravy or marinara sauce, but honestly, I would've preferred some classic ketchup on top instead. The fried fish was mostly batter with very thin fillets, so there wasn't much substance there either. The country fried chicken, however, was the highlight -- large portion, well-cooked, and flavorful. Just note that once you add the gravy, it loses that crispy texture and becomes soggy. The sides were decent but nothing memorable, and the bread and hush puppies were pretty dry. Since everything is counter-service, there isn't much staff interaction. You pay upfront, find your own seat, and when you're done, you just leave your tray -- there aren't any trash cans to clear your own table. Overall, the experience was just okay. It's a neat place with history and friendly vibes, but the food didn't quite hit the "soul" level I was hoping for. There are definitely other country-style spots I'd try before coming back.

My guest ordered some cwing dinner that looked like a contraption. As far as the presentation was delivered. I decided on a liquid diet after seeing the food delivery Next week I personally stopped in-for lunch wanted to give this place a chance to rebound and my full attention on a fair review. I wanted to also make sure management was there. An older caucasian woman greets me well we have a cordial conversation about my previous experience and my embarrassment at such a nice looking restaurant She was unable to believe this happened at her restaurant. Just plain disbelief and raved about the kitchen and pride that goes into her food to later having to eat those words Again, limited menu what is up with the 4-5 items to chose from. I donot eat steak fries So I just ordered the burger - medium well - not burned and it had no venison mixed or blended meat added The burger came out with old brown tarnished lettuce I sent it back for fresh lettuce . She brought it back they added thousand island dressing when I specially asked for mayo on the side which was also provided. What is going on in the kitchen I took a bittersweet bite anyways and spat it out. Took my utensils which looks like a switch blade in a fairly nice restaurant. bad esthetics decisions I knifed out The center of the uncooked raw meat of the burger and waited patiently for the nice lady to find her way back over to me I offered to just pay and leave. I uncovered the burger and allowed her to witness fir herself Her face turned beet red and quickly said no charge and stormed off to her kitchen where I am sure like "The Oak" there was a Waffle House griller reject acting as a chef " Pictures attached : I can't make my Experiences UP! #SMH you just can't get what you pay for anywhere these days Me being a restaurant consultants.
