Catfish and 2 sides Macaroni and Cheese Red Beans and Rice
    Charisse H.

I thought about it and as good as the mac and cheese was, and I still will be back, that cannot push the order to four stars when the rest of the meal was so bland. So I adjusted my review to three stars for the rest of the order AND the mac balanced out.

The food was absolutely delicious! Everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted fresh. The mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, the veggies were flavorful, and the portions were generous.

Best red beans and rice ever and collard greens with smoked turkey and 4 PC whole fried chicken wings with hot sauce on the side fire!

I went here for the first time. I ordered my food online through Uber eats for pick up. Best red beans and rice I ever had in my life! I think that it might have smoked turkey in it. Collard greens are fire the best I've had in a long time with smoked turkey in them delicious food! 4pc whole fried chicken wings with hot sauce on the side is delicious! Pull up and support this establishment! The red beans and rice is not that mushy crap that Popeyes sells! The 4'pc fried whole chicken wings come with 2'sides. I visited on 8-25-2025 they are opened 24 hrs.

Jerk Chicken Alfredo Pasta & Creamy Alfredo Pasta w/ Shrimp

I was really excited to go to this place my man was telling me about. My 1st time & the food looked & smelled really good. I gave 3 stars bc unfortunately my pasta was hard, stuck together, & just bot cooked how pasta should be cooked. I will say the flavor was there & the fries I had with it were good. Also I tried the EuniTea & it was so good. Maybe I will have to give it a second go but overall it was ok. The service was ok as well and had a bit of a wait time, but what place doesn't have a wait time.

It's adjacent to a parking deck and small. Very cozy, though! The menu is simple and it was a one-man show that day (other staff had left due to closing). LOVED IT! The coleslaw was really good and the Sammie was probably one of the freshest I've had. We had to wait a bit due to it being just him but worth the wait. I did the hot chick ... yeah, I can get away with saying that ... and it was huge, overflowing, tender and fresh. This is a SOLID spot. I was told they'd be re-opening nearby and I hope that's the case. They were BUSY as well so it's clearly not a customer issue. Check them out when they re-open. Simple and amazing!

Ok listen, this spot is in the cut wedged between Bank of America and the back of Cornerstone Bank. It has about 7 booths and 4 tables (mostly 2 tops). Customer service is warm and friendly, it always feels like you've known the guys working for years. Now the food...O.M.G. My favorite is the ATL chick which is juicy fried chicken breast tossed in buffalo sauce and... ANNNND... lemon pepper. Cmon. We're in ATL. What other way is there?! Then it has ranch drizzled on top and dressed how you want... lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. Even the bread is yummy. The sweet potato fries are crispy and airy and go great with the comeback sauce which is whatever smoky heavenly concoction they came up with as a sauce. Listen if you're in downtown Decatur... Do yourself a favor and get here! There is street parking available and you can pay by app or at the meter. It's about $2 for an hour. They also serve salads, other sandwiches, and breakfast. Small collection of beer, wine, and cocktails.

She was on point and brought everything out as requested. The ambience was great. They played beautiful music, and had nice scenery and selfy spots. I also had the shrimp and grits. It was seasoned well. And the shrimp was a great size. The drinks were on point only really need 1 to have yo feeling nice! There was some confusion on where to enter the building due to lack of signage, but we figured it out. Upon entering, I immediately was overwhelmed by how loud the music was. I have sensory issues and asked if we could be seated outside, but was told that there was a party outside. We were seated inside and no one in my group could hear each other speak the whole time we ate due to how loud the music was. We couldn't hear the server either. Our server immediately gave us menus, silverware, and waters. He didn't introduce himself or really say much of anything. We were left to look at the menus for 5-10 minutes. Upon looking at the menus, we were extremely disappointed to see that much of what we came for was not available due to it being a brunch item. This was not communicated ANYWHERE on the website and we would not have chosen to dine here had we known. We chose to stay and eat due to already paying $10 for parking across the street. Once we came to terms with the fact that we would not be eating french toast or waffles, we began looking at the menu to decide what to order. It was then that I noticed how expensive everything was. The food is even more expensive than the menu on the website, and the item that I decided upon - the catfish and grits - was $30. This is unreasonably expensive for what it was and I would have priced it at about $18 to be generous. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes for our food and eventually my catfish and grits and my mother's shrimp and grits were served. The sauce around the grits was cold, and the grits themselves weren't super hot. It was obvious that they had been sitting while the fish and shrimp was being cooked. The portion itself was too much to eat in one sitting and grits are not something that would reheat well so we left them instead of trying to take them home. When our grits were served, the waiter told us my step-mother's smothered pork chop would be right out. It did not come for another 10 minutes. One of her sides was a salad, but not even that was brought out. While my mother and I's grits were phenomenal in flavor, my step-mother's pork chop was barely edible. She said that it was tough, especially when she was not provided anything more than a butter knife to cut with, and the gravy on top was so salty that I gagged upon tasting it. It tasted like gravy mix from a packet that was combined with the drippings from a meat that had already been seasoned. My step-mother prefers things to be more salty, but even she had to peel the breading off to be able to eat the pork chop. Keep in mind, this was also about $30. Our service was poor. The waiter didn't introduce himself, as I said, and he did not ask if we wanted anything more than water to drink. He was barely able to be heard over the loud music, but he also didn't say much. He did not check up on us during our meal or say anything while we waited 40+ minutes for our food. And when we went up to the cash register to pay our bill, we were left standing there for about 5 minutes while various servers and workers walked by and went behind the register without even acknowledging our presence. This was very off-putting and a terrible way to end a lackluster dinning experience. Upon paying our bill, we were forced to pay a mandatory 15% tip and a 7% service fee. And then they had the audacity to ask for an additional tip despite their poor service. We all left Platez feeling very disappointed, despite how delicious my mother and I's grits were. We all had the sentiment that we would have had a better time eating at Waffle House because we went for brunch food in the first place. Platez is (in my opinion) horribly overpriced and the service was terrible. I try to be positive, but I would never come here again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Got a text back saying they don't take reservations, it's first come, first serve, but they would do what they could to accomodate us. 4 of us were seated and we had 2 more coming before we wanted to order. The wait staff was attentive, making sure we had our beverages and if we needed anything before the 2 arrived. Once they arrived, the staff gave us a few minutes to make sure the 2 had a chance to look at the menus. We ordered appetizers to start...corn bread, sage fried pierogies and poutine. We weren't sure about the poutine because we didn't see any gravy, we did see the cheese curds on the fries, but once we finally dug in, the gravy was at the bottom. The pierogies were tasty. We asked if they could cut the cornbread so each of us could get a taste, which they did. Corn bread had a toasted texture, and the honey butter was delicious! Everyone ordered something different. One had fish and chips, which would seem to be a likely order for a pub. Their special for the day was a ruben. Another ordered a falafel sandwich, and I think 2 salmon BLT's and then one salad with rainbow trout. Portions were not overwhelming, but we realized that we were full from the appetizers and almost everyone ended up taking most of their main choices in doggie bags (boxes). As time got closer to the festival to start, it did get crowded, but the staff handled the influx of people and people were seated relatively quickly. This was a nice destination as most of the group live a drive from Decatur. Lovely afternoon visit!

I heard mostly positive things about this restaurant from a few family members, so I was curious to check it out. This Caribbean/Southern fusion spot is located as the anchor of a strip mall with other restaurants next door. The great thing is that there is plenty of parking. We came on a Saturday evening; thankfully it was not crowded, so we were able to sit down immediately. Food: I ordered the stewed chicken wings which comes with plantains and jasmine rice. I also ordered a side of roasted brussel sprouts. The wings were very good, falling off the bone tender. I also loved the flavoring of the rice, and the plantains were perfectly sweet. I was not a big fan of the brussel sprouts. They had a thick honey sauce on them that was overpowering, and they were very soft in texture. The positive side is that they give you a ton of food for the price. Service: There weren't many staff working this evening from what I could see. Our server greeted us promptly and checked on us several times before we ordered food. Once we ordered our food, it honestly went down hill. It just took extremely long to get anyone's attention for help. It also took close to 30 mins just to get our check. When the check came, they initially said they couldn't split it and added an automatic 20% gratuity. On their site, it says they do that for parties of 4 or more, but we were only a party of 3. The manager let the server split the check, but they would not remove the gratuity. I always tip well, so it wasn't the end of the world, it was just the principle for me. While I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, I might consider checking them out again for brunch.
