Edited: I did what the owner suggested and went to the iPhone repair shop in the tacoma mall. The person there told me that the reason why my screen split is because the guy buys cheap quality screens. AND the simple way to fix this is to super glue it back. The more expensive way is to get a new screen. I'm just so sick and tired of trying to help out local businesses when all they do it try and cheat you out your money with bad business tactics and providing low quality product. Original: I had my iPhone screen replaced here. It cost about $175 because somehow there was something wrong with the battery all of a sudden coincidentally. Out of desperation I went ahead and did it. Fast forward the glass separated on the edge for some reason, like the glue came undone. I went back for him to fix it. He told me no. He even tried to blame me but if you see the picture you can obviously tell it wasn't from me dropping my phone or anything and it was a faulty screen. Not only did he say no, but he got offended, AND, when I got upset that he got over on me, he really did walk me towards the door, walked me out, locked up his business at 2pm. He got in his car and drove off, while I'm standing outside in aw and disbelief that he would treat a customer that way. If I'm going to pay $175 for a new screen, I kinda want it to last longer than a few months, at least a year. I keep my phone in a hard plastic case ALL the time. This is some BS. read more

Ridiculous. Brought my iPhone 7 Plus to him to fix a shattered screen. He replaced it, but the phone was iCloud locked when we unlocked it, so we couldn't test it before we left. When I got it home and unlocked, it would make phone calls, but the earpiece and microphone were not functional. This was not the case prior to bringing it to his shop. This means that, first, there was no issue. Then, he puts a new screen on my phone and there is magically an issue. You would think that as a business, he would take responsibility. Instead, he blamed my phone for having a faulty front camera flex cable that WORKED before he touched it. He proceeded to tell me that he has done this hundreds of times, so it was impossible for him to have made a mistake. Very arrogant and I will not be going back to his shop unless it is to further resolve this issue. read more

Had a horrible experience getting my phone fixed here. My iphone 6+ had issues with my camera and didnt want to pay 329$ at apple to fix it. Went to this place and he said he could replace it for 60$. I dropped it off and picked it up in an hour. When i got it, my touch screen was not working. He continued to blame it on the logic board and refused to take responsibility. He was very disrespectful and started writing on post it notes rather then talking to me. My husband ended up talking to him a couple days later and he said he would replace the screen and instead of 150 he would charge us 55 but he didnt have a screen for a few days. This tells me he knew it was the screen and not the logic board. During this time, i took my phone to apple for a diagnostic to prove it was the screen and not the logic board. He refused to believe the apple diagnostic print out that i brought. He explained that apple is not "god" and doesnt know their own product. When i came in to have him put the screen on and show him what apple said he refused to talk to me. He ended up leaving while i was still in his shop and locked the door. He came back a few min later to my husband being there and this guy was so disrespectful to me. He mentioned multiple times to my husband to have him shut me up. He still refused to fix my screen and wanted me to sign a piece of paper saying that if he puts a screen on and it doesnt work then he is done and we leave him alone. I knew that he was going to not put a new screen on it so we took my phone to apple and paid 160$ for a new screen that he clearly damaged while replacing the camera. I would recommend going to apple to fix an apple issue or go to someone who makes you sign liability paperwork. Now i am out 220$. Its not worth the aggravation to go to here. read more

I brought my dead Iphone in for an estimate to get it fixed. I've had my watch battery changed twice in the past. The Korean owner said he would charge me $20 just to open the back of the phone case, then another $40 to take a look/to see what's wrong. I said other places would offer free estimate. He said "not here". I left with a bad taste in my mouth. He was quite rude in responding me. So I took my phone to Evolv in Tacoma, which I highly recommend that place. The owner offered me free estimate, and without having to open my phone up, he already knew what was wrong by putting charing cord into my phone, which the Korean gentleman didn't even bother to do the basic test. Evolv's estimate was my phone just needed a new screen, which costs $89 plus tax. They were fair, no hidden fee, price was given upfront. My phone was fixed under an hour! If I had gone to IT repair central, I'd ended up paying $60 extra. I will not return to a dishonest shop like this ever. read more

Gyu is awesome! I brought in my computer because it wouldn't turn on and he treated me like I was a long time loyal customer. He kept my labtop for a short period of time and called back at the time he said he would. He spent a lot of time on my computer and unfortunately he couldn't fix it due to motherboard issues. So I went out and bought a new computer and he was able to transfer all my personal documents and photos. For the amount of work he had to do the total bill was very small and reasonable. This business is brand new in the Lakewood area, and I happened to find it on accident. My Galaxy S4 suffered a drop and the screen was totally dead, and Verizon couldn't help me. I just stumbled across this place by chance and the owner, Gyu Kim, invited me in to take a look at the damage. He identified the problem immediately and gave me a quote for the fix. I took his quote and paid half down and promised the rest after the fix. Mr. Kim let me take my phone home as he had to order the new screen and I was back in his office in 2 days. He promised it would be ready in 2 hours and it was indeed done in a timely fashion. Overall, Mr. Kim gave me excellent service; he rush ordered the part, and had the fix done very quickly. After seeing the list price for the part and looking at other repair shops, I saw he clearly gave me a great deal too! I'd recommend this place to anyone who has a busted screen or LCD...don't go buy a new phone for $500! IT Repair Central will get you your very same phone back at a fraction of the cost. Mr Kim, (he will tell you to just call him Gyu but I'm from the south) is amazing. He fixed my 14 y/o son's gaming PC on New Years Eve at 4:30 pm and we picked it up later that evening. Hard drive wouldn't boot... and had some viruses too. He loaded all the software and programs for us, and all updates were ready to go - just plug and play once we got home. HUGE bonus - he offers a 2 week check up for kid's where you bring in the PC and he will re-check for viruses AND tell you where they came from and how to avoid them in the future!!! Great service, solidly good price, didn't sell us a new HD, fixed the one we had. I found a new store that meets my needs and you will too. read more

I highly recommend Gyu and his shop. Took my slow/full MacBook to him and he doubled the size of my hard drive and memory and rescued all my data in 3 days for a very reasonable price. When I picked it up he gave me a little education about backing up data, which I welcomed. He was polite, kind, respectful. His shop was an organized chaos but his work with me was professional and as promised. He obviously enjoys what he does and wants to make loyal customers by providing quality service at an honest price. I would not recommend a computer repair shop that doesn't have a ATX power supply tester. I took my wife's computer power supply in to get tested and the gentleman behind the counter, who was very polite, told me he did not have a power supply tester. I guess I could go buy one, but still a repair shop without a tester for a common failure component. read more

So I agree with everyone Gyu is a super nice guy, but I took my iPhone 6 to him to have my screen replaced, came back two days later to pick it up and it was dead and we couldn't "test" it so i went home and plugged it in and my earphone was not working i call him back because i wanted him to take it apart again and reconnect it, usually that works for iPhones cause the earphones rarely go bad, instead he decided to try to quote me again for an earpiece and connectors after i payed 150$+ for the screen and replacement he wanted to make me pay for more work, so i told him i would take it apart myself, still didn't offer to help or do anything. I had done it before so I just did it myself and put it back together the earpiece then worked and ironically i cracked my screen putting back together cause i was worked up, but thats besides the point, the point is if Mr. Kim would have done it right the first time or at least offered to fix his mistake instead of me fixing something i payed for none of this would have happened. read more
