This will be the second time I have used this service. Both times we have left 100% satisfied. The first time was a screen replacement on an older iPhone. There were no issues, no setbacks, just solutions. This was for my teenager, so it was appreciated to have been talked through each step of the way. My husband had met Luis through some business event, so when my Apple laptop screen unfortunately broke (note to self, always check your laptop for pens before you close the lid), he recommended I go to Evolv Device Repair. I requested an appt online and Luis was very communicative it getting back to me. He always was communicative while he had my laptop while it was being repaired. Luckily he was able to do everything same day, so we did somethings in Tacoma to stay occupied while we waited. Brought my iPad in for servicing due to not being able to charge. They worked on it and tried to get it working again but was unsuccessful due to cost/ worth issues. The problem was too costly and exceeded the worth of my iPad, therefore I made the decision to not to repair it. Luis was very friendly and totally honest with me about the repairs needed. These guys are the absolute best. My iPhone had severe water damage. Apple wouldn't even look at it, and a national chain repair place said "don't bother, it's bricked, pool water is as bad as saltwater and ruins phones". They gave me the name of a place to ship it to that wanted $1k to $2k to recover my data while destroying the phone. I took it to Evolv, and a few days and few hundred bucks later, my phone had a new battery, new screen, worked perfectly, and contained all of my original data. They literally saved me over $1000 not even counting what a new phone would have cost! Plus, they're just good dudes with great customer service. I cannot recommend Evolv highly enough. My daughter has been going here for 5 years for the screen protector plan, and I started with my new phone last year. Every time either of us has had to have our screen protector replaced it is fast, the owner is super friendly, and bonus it is easy to park. Yesterday my daughter bought a new phone, so went in to get her new screen protector. After an hour, she decided she wanted a different color phone, so she went back and asked if he could take off the screen protector so she could exchange it, then return for a new screen protector. Great work is done here with great care! Newer iPads are a little more difficult to work on than the older models. After having my lightning charge assembly go completely awry, I went to YouTube to see if I could fix this myself. I found out immediately that the answer was NO! I found Evolv Device Repair through Yelp and narrowed it down to them using review & location. The reviews were deserved, for sure. Luis was very communicative, assuring, and honest with an up-front flat rate estimate. I decided to throw in a much needed new battery since he was going to crack this badboy open. After a very honest disclaimer to what could go wrong, I figured that he had to say this stuff (fair enough), but that ultimately they've got the great customer rating for a reason. 48hrs later (they were busy) and it was perfect! These people were so wonderful. They were absolutely so kind and generous. I made sure to inform them prior to fixing the iPhone 8 + that I wanted to do the bundle deal ($35 for shockproof case and tempered glass) for the phone since my husband is very known to break his phone. They even have a lifetime warranty for labor and parts if anything were to happen to the phone (excludes water damage) how freaking awesome! So satisfied with my service! Definitely coming back here if we have any issues with our phone. And honestly they're so reasonable priced. I paid $139 to fix the shattered screen ($89) & then added the bundle deal. Tax was about $13 which is reasonable too.
