    Chicken Picante

Had the opportunity to check out the very highly recommended ITA Kitchen. A group of us made reservations for a Saturday night, which I recommend doing if you'll be dinning at dinner time on a weekend. When we got there it was relatively quiet but it quickly filled up. The server, Anthony was great. Answered any questions we had and didn't make us feel rushed as we chatted away. I selected the chicken picante since I'm a sucker for anything cherry pepper related. I was able to get it over linguine with the spinach on the side, which allowed the sauce to not be overpowering. Overall the dinner was excellent and I look forward to going back when I'm in the area.

Great experience here. Came this week with my husband and daughter. Although no kid's menu, we ordered her penne with marinara. Hubby ordered the money bags with a cutlet on top and I ordered spicy rigatoni without too much spice. The bread that was brought to our table was smothered in garlic and oil. It was ok but would've liked it better without too much on it. The fried calamari did not come in a big portion. Could've been crispier and was not a fan of the sauce. My husband loved his money bag pasta as I with my meal. The spice can get pretty intense and hot so I'm glad they were able to scale it back. My daughter loved her meal. I was hoping they had chocolate gelato, but they only had vanilla so we skipped dessert. The place is small but has a really lovely atmosphere.

ITA was incredible. They are known for their "chicken cutlet bowls" where you get your pasta entree served in a bowl made of a hot, crispy, fried chicken cutlet. It's a must try for first timers! (Or return customers too!) We also had their table side mozzarella where they make and stretch the cheese at tableside and serve it up with tomatoes and a balsamic drizzle. Everything we had was delicious and I cannot wait to go back and try something else!

We love ITA! Food is always perfect, staff is equally on point. Spicy rigatoni is my go to but I have ordered other things and they never disappoint. I highly recommend adding chicken milanese and crowning any dish you order! Rainbow cookie desert is amazing.

We were dying to come here to eat as we've been to just about every place in Patchogue. Finally made our way there the other night and Jenna was our Waitress. She did well, was very personable and answered all of our questions without issue. Made solid recommendations and ultimately was a great server. I didn't catch the gentleman's name but whoever the manager was that night that bumps elbows with the guests was also pretty awesome. Made small conversation with us at the table and even gave us a complementary dessert. All in all it was a great experience. The food was very very good and every drink that we ordered was phenomenal. I have nothing bad to say about this place. And we will absolutely be back. PS.... If you choose to order the pizzette with Nutella for dessert make sure that you eat it when it comes out because we took it home and we did not realize that it was an actual Pizza. It ended up getting hard and although we did eat one slice and it was phenomenal. I would strongly recommend you eat it at the restaurant fresh out of the oven.

5:30 reservation. Seated at 5:30. Our waitress, Krissy, was busy but on top of things. A lot of food. 1/2 of it came home with us. A little noisy atmosphere, but with the impending blizzard, people had to let it out. Our bill for one appt. , two huge pasta dishes, a beer and two desserts was $145. Nice place!!

First timers. Very nice ambiance. Hubby and I arrived a little after 5pm, so we had our pick of area to sit. Server - Gavin - nice young man; very attentive and gave accurate information on all questions. Appetizer - Eggplant Marco - French Kiss; I could have had it as my entree. Entrees - Shrimp Luciano (crowned it - if you don't know you'll find out) and Sea Bass Special. Another French Kiss - portions are great. We took home doggie bags. Dessert - shared a Brownie Sunday and had cappuccinos. Overkill on the French kiss but it is what it is. Everything was very good. Coming back with family and friends.

I love coming to ITA kitchen! The spicy rigatoni is my absolute favorite and I crave it all the time! The outdoor seating was super cute and the service was great! Was such a fun date night and we loved how intimate it was. Again... highly recommend the spicy rigatoni

Cannoli cream stuffed crumb cake. I don't even like cannoli cream and that may have been one of the best desserts I ever had!!!

My second time at ITA and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite spots. I usually don't like to eat Italian when I'm out because every Italian restaurant is basically the same menu. Not ITA. They bring a modern twist that allows you to get traditional taste with a unique experience.

NOW!!! - WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THE PRICE IF THE CAESAR SALAD AND THE COST TO ADD CHICKEN. This is where the negative stats come in. I don't care who you are but the nerve to charge that much money to add chicken to a Caesar salad salad which probably cost $1.50 to make is maddening. This is a dish that you probably make the highest return and profit on so to take one chicken small chicken breast which you're probably buying in bulk and getting for next to nothing and charge $10 for it to be cooked and cut up into a couple of pieces and thrown on top of the salad really was a turn off to me. Other than that we got a fair price on drinks and the chicken wings which were on Special. So I think we got 10 wings for 12 bucks or something. It was a good deal and they were good. Crispy shell, fresh shrimp. Main was chipotle chicken wrap. Very good. Not dry with a nice blend of cheese, a little kick as well. Negatives: we asked for the wrap without pico , however it was not left off. It was quickly returned without any issues . When we received the check we were charged double. This was also quickly resolved. Overall, good place , decent food average beer selection. A good place to see a game and sample pub food. Not breaking any new ground here.

On top of that, my damn car decided to up and die, so I've been bleeding money on Ubers just to get to and from work. After I handled business with the junkers, I said eff it and headed to Whiskey Neat. I was starving--no breakfast, running on fumes--and since my job's in Patchogue, I figured I'd finally try them for lunch. First of all... happy hour on a Saturday from 12-6?! Uhhh hello?? In my Angelina from Jersey Shore voice. And if you pay cash, you get the discount. Say less. They've got a fabulous small plates menu. I started with the French onion soup--ooey gooey mozzarella, cheese pull was undefeated. Soup was delicious too. I haven't had French onion in ages and it really hit. Then I had the pulled pork slider, which was really good, but BABY... those short rib croquettes? To. Die. For. I also had to get my classic deviled eggs. A little heavy-handed on the paprika, but still solid. Drinks were half off, so of course I indulged. Started with an espresso martini because I needed something to jumpstart my day. Then I had a French martini because duh--I'm a French girl ‍. That one was good. Finished with my classic cosmo. Not gonna lie, I've had better, but it did what it needed to do and helped me forget my troubles for a couple hours. Also great playlist of music. I got there and they were playing Ska. I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.
