Salmon

Dined here last week for a friends birthday and had a really nice dinner! Very nice place with solid food quality. I was expecting a more of a French vibe and food but I would say it has more of an upscale America style feel. The menu had the usual suspects of French cuisine ie, escargot, boeuf Bourguignon, souffles etc. but the flavor is more "Americanized". For example the boeuf Bourguignon tasted like grandmas homemade beef stew which was delicious just not French flavoring. The chocolate souffles was good and came with a side of chocolate sauce but just a little too eggy (tasted like scrambled eggs). Service was excellent. Had reservations and was sat immediately. It was especially nice because we were the only ones in the entire restaurant so had the whole place to ourselves (Tuesday at 7pm). All in all a really decent restaurant serving French/American cuisine. Would highly recommend checking out. Bon Appetit!

Dined here for a Saturday dinner. We had 6 pm reservations and didn't wait. Parking is a private lot and easy. Their patio area looked cute. I could imagine enjoying dining there in warmer weather. I called in advance to make sure they could accommodate my daughter's allergies. I think it was the chef I spoke to. He mentioned he had allergies too and assured me they could accommodate my kid. Her absolute favorite dish is duck breast. She had no issues with the dish and enjoyed it. They modified it slightly for her. They had gluten free bread but it still contained an allergen so she couldn't have it. It was very thoughtful of them to give her a side of potato crisps instead since she couldn't have the bread. I had the duck as is and enjoyed it as well. We liked how they cooked the duck to order because we like ours on the pinker side. My 6 year old had the filet mignon and fries. He inhaled it. My husband had the lamb chops, which was a special. For dessert, we had vanilla ice cream and a hazelnut soufflé. The kids had sorbet and strawberries. Voila was good for standard French food. I appreciate that they were so diligent about my daughter's allergies and she ate everything without any issues. My only complaint was that there were some lulls in service as our main meals were completed and then during dessert. So our meal felt like it dragged a little in the end.

My friend eating a soufflé at Voila Le Bistro.

Quite a good meal, and my friend enjoyed their soufflé but their creme brûlée was small, over cooked (the eggs cooked unevenly so it wasn't smooth like it's supposed to be. It's very hard to make I understand, but they're supposed to be pros) and I really didn't care for the bread pudding. I ended up not eating it. I lived in NOLA too long to eat bread pudding that isn't fabulous. But it might be a personal taste thing. I don't think chocolate goes on bread pudding either so that was a surprise I wasn't thrilled with and the chocolate was a bit bitter for my preference as well. To be fair, my friend had the beef bourguignon and it was quite good as was the prix fix pork medallions and the escargot en croute appetiser that I had. I would definitely have them again but would have dessert elsewhere. I got the French Connection cocktail and it was a bit too sweet for me, but again, this could be a preference thing. Two drinks each came out more than the food portion of our meal so keep an eye on how much your drinking if you are not sure if you have enough cash or room on your card. They do take credit cards but some of us love a bit too close to our limits, yeah I mean me. As critical as I am of their desserts, the meal was good as was the service, just have dessert somewhere else or have the soufflé if you like chocolate sauce which I'm not a huge fan of, but my friend enjoyed it and that is what matters. Desserts are notoriously harder than they look so it might just have been an off night and pastry cheffing is truly an art so make up your own mind.

First time eating here and everything was delicious. Will definitely go back for special occasions.

Roasted chicken breast with Gruyère .....excellent!!

Just did a Google search looking for a French restaurant with a charming setting - this fit the bill and more. The owner was very charming and friendly. We started with the escargot which was nestled in a small pastry basket, and the cheese plate - both definite repeat items.

Scallops with mashed potatoes and spinach.

My husband, myself, and another couple went here this past Saturday night. We wanted to go somewhere we have not previously dined at. I can't compliment the food and the service enough. We had a beet salad and also a buratta special appetizer. For dinner I had the scallops, my husband had the Bronzino special, and our friends had the roasted chicken and pork medallions. One meal was better than the next. We actually sat and discussed what each flavor/seasoning/spice was. The staff was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We look forward to going back.

Chocolate soufflé

The ambiance was nice going on a Wednesday night. It wasn't busy at all just me and my boyfriend and one other couple. I got the chicken breast which was paired well with the mashed potatoes. My boyfriend got the filet mignon and a side of fries. I had the prefix meal where I was able to get the vegetable quiches. The quiches were very flaky and light. The salad dressing in the middle of the quiches was very acidic and vinegary so maybe if the dressing was on the side it would have been better. The chicken was well cooked and the gruyere tasted good on it. I thought the scalloped potatoes under the steak were too peppery but when I had another bite they were pretty good. The soufflé was light and fluffy. I've never had soufflé before but there were more savory bites in the dessert that I wasn't expecting. Overall the food was pretty good.

We were able to…read moreget a table for a party of four with no issue, and from start to finish the experience was excellent. The waitress and entire staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. To top it off, there was a young guy singing Frank Sinatra classics in the middle of the week, which gave the place such a fun and classy vibe. For appetizers, we tried the wonton nachos, which were absolutely delicious. The meatballs and mozzarella were good, though a bit heavier on the bread than I prefer. Dinner was outstanding across the board. We ordered the Chicken Caesar salad, hamburger, crab cakes, and the Rockefeller French dip, and every single dish was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The restaurant itself is trendy, with an amazing bar and great atmosphere. I highly recommend checking this place out -- we'll definitely be back!

The old back room had been transformed into an official party room with a separate bar and restroom and closed off with decorative barn doors. The bar area offers ample seating, with the dining area ( offering table service) behind the bar wall overlooking the main stage. Greeted warmly greeted when we first entered with only a five minute wait ( we had a reservation and I highly recommend making one). Again warmly welcomed by our server Nicole who provided an outstanding service throughout the evening. Nicole was friendly, engaging and offered excellent dinner and drink suggestions. Live music was on tap on this Friday evening which did make the dining room rather loud for holding table conversations but worth the live music being played that evening. The cocktail menu offers a good and varied selection of mixed drinks and wine and the mixed drinks are both flavorful and expertly presented. I would highly recommend both the Flappers Folly ( a refreshing floral mix) and the Espresso Martini drinks. Started off with the hot honey & bacon brussel sprout appetizers which were perfectly flavored with the honey and bacon bits over crispy brussel sprouts. All main dish items were very good. The Old Sport Burgers were juicy, flavorful and all cooked to perfection served with crispy string French fries. The French Dip Au Jus was well seasoned and not to dry with a flavorful au jus. I would highly recommend the Gatsby Grain dish bowel. Shredded chicken served over jasmine rice and vegetables was outstanding and served with a side salad. Restaurant manager Cathy was very visible in the dining room checking in with every table and asking for feedback which you don't see very often nowadays. Even got a personal tour of the new party room ( looking for a location for a future event). Overall good food reasonably priced , excellent service and nice decorum with live music offered on the weekends. A great place to grab a drink and listen to music while catching a great burger or the Gatsby Grain dish bowel . You won't be disappointed.

Between the warm, cozy atmosphere and a live band playing, it felt festive without being chaotic. It's exactly what you want during the holidays. We went full "let's share everything" mode, starting with the Wood-Fired Artichoke-Spinach Dip Pizzetta, and wow. Spinach, artichokes, béchamel, shaved parm, mozzarella, garlic dressing, and baby arugula all working together in perfect harmony. Easy 10/10. I'm still thinking about it and already planning my next visit just to order it again. Next up was the crab rangoon dip, which was rich, indulgent, and dangerously good. Followed by the beer cheese jumbo pretzel. They wee soft, salty, and exactly what you want alongside drinks. Zero regrets. We wrapped things up with the Kung Pao Cauliflower Bites, and they were such a pleasant surprise. The tempura cauliflower stayed crispy, the General Tso's-style sauce had just the right balance of sweet and heat, and the cashews, sesame seeds, and scallions added great texture. Drink-wise, we shared a bottle of wine from their solid selection, but I also have to shout out their massive cocktail menu, so many options that I'll definitely be back to explore it properly next time. The cherry on top? We made our reservation on Yelp . Between the food, drinks, live music, and overall atmosphere, Husk and Vine was a total win for a night out. Can't wait to return!

I…read morecame here with my daughter and her fiance on the recommendation of a friend who has held a couple of different parties there. My visit was to get information about their Bridal Shower packages. As you walk in, my first impression was charming, no question this would be a perfect place for my daughters shower! Since Easter is next month, the restaurant was already decorated over the top for it! My supervisor at work has dined at The Country House during Christmas and no exaggeration, it is somewhere I could imagine you would see in a fearure film Holiday movie. Not one stone is left unturned, I saw some pictures and they were just beautiful! My appointment was with the owner, a very gracious man who obviously knows how to throw a celebration....detail, detail, detail!! You receive soup to nuts, the menu is superb! I was so impressed and excited, I wanted this so bad for my daughter, until he advised what the cost would be per person. Unfortunately for me, it was way too much over my budget, it was literally double the cost of anywhere else I have been to so far! But, I can absolutely tell you this, if I could afford it, no question my daughters shower would have been held at The Country House! I am going to absolutely dine here for an occasion one day, so I can review an actual experience next time!
