This is a great NY style pizzeria. I ordered a large for the kids, half pepperoni and half cheese. Really delicious. The only negatives were 1) it took a half hour for the pizza to be ready and 2) it cost $23+. In terms of taste and quality, though, excellent. read more

I recently ate here and I've been going here for many years however, I was very disappointed. I ordered a half spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti was undercooked. The meatballs were so small. You can eat it and one bite. I'm hoping that this was a fluke and not the new normal. Your meatballs used to be much bigger and two was very filling. I also noticed the sauce was thinner and not as tasty. Again I hope you all didn't t change things because I want to keep coming back. Will try one more time. read more

The name says it all... Italian Delight. NY style pizza delivered with good flavor and thin crispy crust.. Pepperoni pizza roll and pepperoni slice had enough sauce and pepperoni in proportion to the pizza crust. Each bite was very satisfying. Tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese was not overpowering at all just enough sweet and tangy flavor. Pizza is foldable in true tradition function however I prefer direct flat approach. read more

Italian Delight offers fast, cheap Italian. They have a lot of options, more than just pizza and pasta. I ordered the Italian salad with light cheese. The salad comes with red onion, cheese, pepperoni, black olives and tomatoes. The Italian dressing is light but very vinegary, which I like. Next time I would also ask for light dressing. The family ordered all of the pizza and pasta items and also liked theirs. I will be returning. read more

Restaurant is cute, small and clean. Large menu with lots of wonderful choices. We tried several things and split them. We tried the pepperoni roll, and a calzone with ham and ricotta and mozzarella. Very tasty on both and the crust was delicious. Pizza slices were hot and fresh with again - the perfect cooked crust. We will be back if we are craving pizza! read more

The food is fine but the customer service was completely unacceptable. While I was there, I watched a customer politely ask for an update on her order after a large group that arrived after her had already been served. One of the employees aggressively approached her and told her it would be another five minutes, and did so in a sharp tone that was completely unnecessary. The customer stayed calm and stepped back. After waiting the additional time and still not receiving her food, she returned to the counter again, calmly and was met with visible irritation from multiple employees. Their tone was dismissive and unprofessional, and when the customer quietly addressed it, they became defensive. it was no longer just poor service it was outright disrespect. It was no longer just poor service it was outright disrespect. When her food was finally ready, it was called out abruptly. As she finished sending a quick message before grabbing it, another employee snapped at her again. It was uncomfortable to witness and far below even basic customer service expectations. The customer handled the situation with far more professionalism than the staff. I won't be returning, and I've already shared this experience with coworkers that frequent there. For average food, it's simply not worth spending money somewhere that treats people this way. There's no excuse for that kind of behavior. TO THE EMPLOYEES - Please repeat after me " We are sorry for your wait and we appreciate your patience. It's in the oven now and will be ready asap." That's all that situation required. Fifty Five Years. Kansas City area has a lot of wonderful restaurants to go to. Moved down here from St Joe ten years ago, daughter introduced us to Italian Delight in Mission KS. This is one of our favorite pizza places when we come to KC. It's nothing fancy but they've got what you want! I really like the garlic knots! You might get confused because they have cheese pizza and a pepperoni pizza always you just need to tell them to add on your toppings. Staff is nice and they are wheelchair accessible with an accessible bathroom. read more

Even though it's a 30-minute drive for us, Italian Delight is totally worth it. The food is incredible - truly the best New York-style pizza in KC - and you can't go wrong with any of the desserts! I saw all the great reviews so we decided to try it out. The food was good but nothing really stood out. The meatball sandwich was ok. I thought the meatballs were too dense and hard, but it wasn't bad. I thought the bread was very good. My wife likes the chicken Parm sandwich but it wasn't anything special. The New York style pizza was good. The spaghetti was ok too but I wasn't impressed with the sauce or any of the food. But the food was good. The food I would give 3 1/2 stars. I was a fan of the Italian Delight in Mission that permanently closed a few months ago and wasn't aware that a sister store existed until I was aimlessly driving down State Ave. today. The lasagna was priced at $7.50 for a 3" cube with some cold Italian bread slices. No complaints on quality. The sauce was rich and sweet and plenty of ground beef. The dinner salad was $2.79 and for $.69, I added some mozzarella. A very bland salad of shredded lettuce, 3 small slices of tomato and a few rings of red onion with an overly vinegary Italian dressing. Sorry but that salad really needs some assistance. I would go with one of the other sides next time. The other issue was the mixed bag of customer service. The lady that ran the register ( cashier C ) had less customer service skills than a cardboard box. Completely unfriendly, humorless and rang me up as a to-go order without asking. Fortunately a couple of co-workers stepped up to re-plate my dishes for dine in and properly serve me when the error was pointed out. Four stars for the lasagna and the 2nd round of customer service. One star for the cashier and salad. I'll still give a four star rating since I know the menu has a lot of great items. read more

The kids wanted pizza for lunch at the Legends over by the Speedway but no "real" sit down pizza places were close. The Missouri side has plenty options but on the KS side (shrugs shoulders). Other reviews create good hype for this place to get you in the door but the second you smell it and the next you taste it, you join the hype train. Stopped by for lunch. This is one of my husbands favorite places to dine because he and his mother used to go when he was younger at Indian Springs and she passed years ago and this gives him great memories. I usually just order a slice of pizza but this time I ordered lasagna and it was really good. The sauce is more on the sweet side than I prefer but it was perfect wasn't dry and very meaty and flavorful. I also ordered a side salad and even though it was a small it is enough to share. I didn't care for the Italian dressing it seemed to have too much vinegar so it was bitter.
