We went to worlds of fun on opening day and were absolutely starving. Looked up pizza places and Zio's popped up. Absolutely amazing supreme pizza and wings. Get extra ranch and you will not be disappointed. Plus, picking up the pizza was a fun experience, locals watching the royals game and a friendly bar tender. 10/10 read more

Came back to Zios again for lunch. It was pretty busy today at and there's only 1 server who also tends the bar but she handles it all very well. We had the cheese sticks, 2 of my co workers got the Philly cheese and I got the oven fried wings in Buffalo sauce with a side order of fries. I was a huge fan of my wings and recommend them! You get 8 for $10 and they have a really great flavor and are a decent size. I had leftover wings and fries. No complaints! Will definitely order this when I come back. This is a bar with bar food and a few pizza items. When I walked in, I was met with the eyes of frequent visitors. Seemed like a fun atmosphere however, it is a true bar setting and not a restaurant style pizza place. Workers inside were very friendly, and the place seemed clean. I ordered a house salad and a veggie pizza where I picked the four vegetables allowed. The salad had way too many olives in it but their ranch dressing is homemade and pretty great. The vegetables on the pizza are from jars and cans. They are not fresh. I was told it would be 15 minutes and since I didn't want to sit at the bar by myself, I left and came back. The low rating is because of the misrepresentation that this is a pizza place versus a bar and also that none of the ingredients were fresh. read more

Definitely glad we tried this place! They have a nice style pizza. We got a one topping with sausage and a cauliflower crust with Canadian bacon. The flavor is great, it's close to home. I wouldn't get the cauliflower crust again though- not a huge fan. Their crust made in house is great! I think we will be back. We definitely enjoy Leo's just a bit better for their unique crust and cheese- so that's why it didn't get the full 5 We are happy customers read more

So, I've heard and read a few things about a Pizza Parlor that opened over on NE Vivion Rd. a while back. So, tonight I paid a visit to Zio's Pizza. They serve a thin crust Sicilian style of pizza cut party style. They also offer a cauliflower type for the gluten free/keto folks out there. I made a choice and ordered cold beer and a 14" "All Meat" Pie, after all I am a carnivore and no vegetables are needed. The pie came out piping hot with a golden brown and crispy crust. Sitting on top of a layer of delicious red sauce were generous portions of pepperoni, hamburger, Italian Sausage, Canadian Bacon all covered with an ooey gooey layer of cheese. With cheese and pepper shaker in hand, I doctored it up and dug in! I'll let the picture do the talking! This is a good pie! Well done Zio's Pizza! Well Done Indeed! read more

I was craving pizza, but since I was dining solo and Zio's doesn't offer slices I ordered from the sandwich menu. The Chicken Spiedini was calling my name as soon as I saw it listed. I started with a $3 house salad - iceberg, a little mozzarella, olives and a couple of pepperoni slices -meh. The $9 sandwich more than made up for the boring salad. Multiple slices of the breaded chicken, covered in melted cheese on a warm soft bun. A thick flavorful red sauce and a delicious cup of amogio for dipping made for a wonderful sandwich experience. Don't bother. We ordered the tenderloin sandwich and the chicken club. The fries were old and close to burnt. The sandwiches were....adequate, and I'm being nice. We received no ketchup for the fries, I asked for mayo on the side, none so my sandwich was dry. I'd say they have given up. read more

We ordered pizza right before close (which we hate to do but we were so hungry). My wife tried ordering delivery from DoorDash and it wasn't working so she called and talked to Tiffany who was so sweet and helped us order delivery through their website. The food came quickly and was hot. She LOVED that their pizza wasn't drenched in sauce like other places. I loved the pepperonis that they use (I'm from California and haven't found a spot that uses the smaller pepperonis) We are big on supporting local businesses and this place just won our regular business! Food was good but Grubhub delivers the pizza ordered online, and that's a bad thing. I had to go pick up my own pizza, having waited over an hour and eventually calling Zio's, to find that my pizza had sat cold waiting for a driver that never came. Now, is that Grubhub's fault or Zio's? Both. Either could have called me but instead I wasted my time tracking down my food. I'd ordered delivery online because I wanted an easy transaction, yet I got the opposite experience. Further, if Zio's doesn't want to have it's reputation bound to Grubhub, they should disallow delivery by the company, and rely on their own drivers. Offering me any sort of recompense for my troubles would have alleviated my irritation, but they did not offer to remake the food, give me a coupon, or a refund. So nearly two hours after ordering, I drove home, having spent $42 dollars on cold pizza. Not. Happy. read more

Fantastic, thin-crust pizza. It's almost St. Louis style, except they actually use mozzarella instead of provel. The sauce has just the right amount of zing to it, and the toppings have always been fresh...except they use canned mushrooms. That's for the minus one star ;) read more

Small place, but comfortable if not a bit dark. We were greeted when we entered and seated in a booth. The front of the place is dominated by a large bar area and the outside "patio" is really a smoke stop for the bar patrons. The menu is dominated by pizza, of course, but they do offer some pasta and sandwiches. The first order was the fried mozzarella sticks and they, alone, are worth the trip to try this place. Homemade from large pieces of creamy, sweet mozzarella these are breaded with a seasoned crumb that is perfectly thick and crunchy. We ordered the chicken spedini - a beloved Kansas City treat. The spedini was, as expected, a breaded chicken breast rolled with mozzarella, topped with amogio which is a olive oil, butter lemon sauce. This was served with a side of fettuccine Alfredo. The Alfredo, was cheesy and thick with that sort of bland flavor I suppose anyone who orders Alfredo wants - so, go for it. The spedini had okay flavor, but actually tasted like it had been made some other time and heated up. There are some great spedini's in KC and this was not one of them, so I suggest you stick to the 'za. The pizza is made upon a Sicilian thin crust and is topped with your choice ingredients, but all come with a very generous portion of mozzarella. We ordered the "All Meat" with pepperoni, Italian sausage, hamburger and Canadian bacon. The toppings were abundant! The mix of meats, cheese and crunchy crust were excellent. Overall, this seems more like a neighborhood bar than a restaurant, but it still has some excellent choices for food. I recommend you give it a try. read more

We came in suddenly with a group of 11 and the server worked to accommodate us right away! It's a small dining room not really meant for big groups without calling ahead and she was so sweet to take care of us. The food....forget about it! The pizza is thin crust and they have HOMEMADE RANCH! They had lots of other non-pizza items as well that were equally delicious. Our server was hilarious and so sweet and gave us free appetizers since we had to wait (the wait wasn't that long at all). This place is small but mighty! Go if you are in the area! read more

I liked the keto pizza. Spent the last 30 minutes looking for their website to get nutrition information and nothing is available. No website, they have a phone but it hasn't been set up and you can leave a message...! What kind of business it only available to order through Grubhub and has no website or useable phone number. I apparently started a review many months ago (5stars, of course) and to say I was impressed is an understatement. We did a carry out order and they gave us a free dessert since we picked it up! All the food was so tasty. It was definitely a place I needed to go again. We have been many times since but with Covid going on, we hadn't. Today I decided I was going to try their tacos finally! Unfortunately, they are working on a limited menu so we decided on pizza! I wanted to make sure we were keeping it local during this time. I gave them a small tip in which the lady (She may have been a manager/owner) almost insisted that I get even a small amount of change. To see how thankful she was over an amount that just about anyone would tip a delivery driver brought tears to my eyes when we left. The service we received was phenomenal as usual. They were incredibly quick and it was definitely art when I opened the boxes. I hope they are able to keep the wonderful pizza place they've built because they truly have a great menu and a great staff. We look forward to getting some tacos once we are able! read more

Ordered the Hawaiian and it was VERY SALTY and oddly enough had cracked black pepper all over it too. Not enough pineapple to even come close to counter balance the salt.
