My boys and I are all fans of Showmars, and we used to eat here regularly...yet it's been so long since we've been here! Anyway, we decided to revisit during a weeknight...and surprisingly, the crowd was still sizable. The place seemed much more run down than last I remembered it from years ago...and I felt they needed some overhead music. Still, the service was still good...and more importantly, the foods tasted exactly as I remembered them. I ordered my usual, Fried Flounder and Shrimp platter, with Fries, Hush Puppies and Cole Slaw...and they all were so good! I love how all of their fried foods aren't at all greasy (a big YAY!), yet so fresh and crispy! The flounder has always been so soft and flakey...and the shrimp, hush puppies and fries are so crispy! The prices did go up a bit, but as always, the foods here are not only consistently good, but value-packed. Despite being a casual eatery, I feel that the quality is quite good for the price point...and for that, I must drop 4 stars. i ordered a Greek salad with pita bread. Hubs had the old-fashioned cheeseburger and baked potato. My Greek salad was scrumptious- especially with the light feta and black olives. The pita bread was perfect as well as the tziki sauce. and the unsweetened tea was perfect with about 2 packs of "Equal". Hubs enjoyed his burger and it looked good . He left the last bite stating that the bread tasted "tough". He gobbled up all of his baked potato. His drink of choice was her weekly allowance of pepsi( kidney issues). The waitress was a very sweet young lady who checked on us several times . Unfortunately , i didn't get her name. There was music playing - but not overly loud. Some of it was "rap" which was not appropriate in any situation- especially dining. Some was just "okay" but still not relaxing for a restaurant. I would have preferred no music and a quiet , peaceful atmosphere instead of "music" that had drums in the background. There was a sanitation grade of "A" posted plainly on the front door.- A real plus ... The ladies restroom , as far as i could tell appeared clean - it was very dark- as if there were a 40 watt bulb as lighting. There were no odors, there was soap and water . Paper towels were out. Also, for the size of the restaurant, I would have thought that there would be more than 2 stalls. But, at least, there were gender- specific restrooms- yeh! Not a bad experience- place looked clean, servers were very nice but professional. Music selection could improve but at least we were able to carry on a quiet conversation.. Food was good and served as ordered ( except for the tough hamburger bun). Drinks were good- had the GOOD ice. Sanitation grade was great and posted plainly on the front door. If you're familiar at all with Showmars, then this review isn't going to surprise you in the least. I've been enjoying the Herlong location for years. I know when I come here, the quality of food and service is always beyond reproach, no exceptions. For a quick sit down meal, that excels in freshness, quality and value, there are very few that can compete on their level with such consistency time and time again. Service equally matches their great food. Their waitstaff are very much on top of their game and always stay focused on you during your visit, so you'll never have to worry about that next beverage refill, napkin or condiment request, as they're always on their 'A' game. All in all, I can't say enough about Showmars. They're one of my favorite eateries in the Rock Hill area. read more

I decided to try a delivery from Showmars at my workplace. I ordered the grilled chicken chef's salad, which is described in the menu as "Grilled chicken on a fresh romaine, iceberg and spring lettuce mix topped with sliced tomatoes, hard boiled egg, cucumbers, cheddar cheese & red onions ." The greens were fresh, the dressing was homemade and delightful, but the boiled egg was missing from the dish. I also ordered baklava, which was delicious, but I was disappointed in the serving size. For the price I paid, I was expecting more than a bite that would fit on my fork. I have ordered baklava in Greek eateries before, and my serving for that price was double what was delivered. I will be going into the restaurant to determine if the piece they gave me was a standard serving, or if they gave me a smaller size since it was delivery. Overall- the food was fresh, well seasoned, and delicious, but my order was not correct, and the serving size of the dessert was disappointing. read more

Great hang out. The stores decorated really nice. It's always clean and friendly. They have a big menu to choose from. Prices can get a bit steep but most places are nowadays They have an outdoor seating area too. It's pretty crowded on Sunday afternoons. Their gyros are the best. read more

I have eaten at this location numerous times and generally find the food to be pretty good! My "beef" lately is due to the complete lack of service and worst of all the restaurant is DIRTY ! Debris and food under the booths and the tables full of crumbs. Moved to a different table and it was sticky even after cleaned! The cleanliness and service at this location has declined significantly over my last several visits! hope the kitchen is cleaner than the dining room! You're not going to do much better for a quick "sit-down" meal. The food at Showmars caters to a typical American crowd with the addition of some Greek flavors. I personally only go to Showmars when I'm craving a gyro or a Greek salad. The food here is consistent. The gyros will always taste exactly like a gyro should taste. The salads will always taste the way that particular salad should taste. They do a great job at delivering what you've come to expect at Showmars. The food ranges from average to very tasty. They do have room for improvement when it comes to some minor details (The onion rings are considerably bland. A simple seasoning of the batter could remedy this easily. Also...crisping up the fries would be a nice improvement). What I really like about Showmars is the service and attention to the customer. Sure, it gets a bit much when you are asked if everything is OK, or if they can get you a refill for the 5th time, but hey, it shows that they care about their customers and training their employees. Which brings me to... Their employees! Mostly young kids...and incredible ones as far as I can tell. Showmars must do a great job at training their employees, or maybe they just get the cream of the crop to pick from. The three employees I dealt with were not only helpful and friendly, but they were earnest. Very refreshing! I love supporting great service, so I'll be back! I don't usually write reviews but this one has angered me enough to do so. On 4/18/2020, I ordered a Mediterranean Hummus Salad for pick-up. Before leaving the restaurant, I asked the cashier if the dressing was in the bag. She said that it was & that there were two. When I got home & opened the bag, there was no dressing whatsoever, not even on the salad. I called the store & spoke to the manager (for privacy reasons I will not give her name here). Since it was almost closing time, she told me that I could return to the store tomorrow for the same item or a gift card. She told me that she would make the manager on duty the next day aware of the issue.The only reason I even called the error to management's attention to start with was because I specifically asked the cashier about the dressing before leaving the store. Unfortunately, I could not get by the next day. However, I did return to the store the following day, 4/20/2020. Unfortunately, that same manager that was made aware of the situation had just left. The cashier told me that I had to get the same thing I had ordered initially. I told him that that is not what the manager on 4/18/2020 had told me & that I should be able to get a gift card. Then, he told me that I could speak with his General Manager. When the GM approaches me, he tells me that it is not store policy to replace the item with a gift card. He then says he will override that policy this time but that he will be sure to "rip her a new one" (referring to the manager that initially told me that). How unprofessional! Seems he was just trying to flaunt his power. We're talking about a GM here, not a shift manager. It must be a nightmare to work for him. I feel for the employees there. read more

I never really thought much of this restaurant and I don't usually eat here. (It's not really my type of food) But I decided to dine here earlier today and from the moment I walked in, I received the best serves ever!!! I did not see one person in there without a smile on their face and everyone was working diligently and getting everyone fed. Me personally, if the serves is good, it doesn't even matter how good the food is. I will definitely return for that reason.
