Salmeri's is of one of our "go-to" spots in the area. The covered outdoor dining area is perfect in the spring, comfortable, relaxed, and a great place to enjoy a meal. The truffle mushroom pizza is outstanding...easily the best pizza around! We've also really enjoyed the custom pasta dishes, which are always delicious, and we appreciate how flexible the kitchen is in catering to specific preferences. Salmeri's has been on our list to try for awhile, and we finally did this weekend for lunch. We did takeout and everything was easy ordering online and pickup on time. What we got: *Chicken parmesean sandwich - this was massive! My husband got this and had half the first day, and I had half the second day as I liked his dish better than mine. This was very flavorful, could have used a little more tomatoes as that was overshadowed with all the other flavors of chicken, cheese, and pesto, but still oh so good. The fries that were served with the sandwich are nothing special, they are a shoestring fry, and I prefer thicker and more flavorful fries. *Bolognese - this was my dish, and I did not think it was as good as the reviews have suggested. It might be better fresh at the restaurant, but to me, it was just a very oily meat spaghetti type dish with thick noodles. For me, it needed more tomato flavoring vs the oil flavor that stood out. The meatballs were very good, though. My husband liked this dish more than me, so he was good with trading dishes the second day. Overall, we did enjoy what we ordered. Temperature in the restaurant was very uncomfortable. I would have hoped they contacted us ahead of time. They had a few fans in the front but needed to provide a few more as airflow was stifling. Food was not very authentic. I expected much better. Calamari was light in number and looked panko fried served on a small oval plate. I had zucchini noodles with grilled chicken-which was served with heavy marinara making it very messy and soupy. Chicken was a half breast at most. Service was real slow. Great Italian cuisine at reasonable prices! I come here often so I know the menu quite well! I have ordered nearly everything off of their menu over time and all of them have been prepared exceptionally well! They use a wood fired oven for pizzas which is the only way to get the crust the way it is in Italy. I really liked their Margherita and Prosciutto Artichoke pizzas but that all depends on what you like on yours! I was very pleasantly surprised by the Crab Artichoke dip. I also liked the Meatballs and Polenta, Flash Fried Semolina Crusted Calamari and Fried Mozzarella Sticks. You can't go wrong with anything you order here but I have to mention the Shrimp Scampi in particular is outstanding! They have eight taps and a decent craft beer selection on them. The wine list is exceptional and budget friendly. The owners really know what they're doing with the wine! They have a full bar and make exceptional drinks especially for the price! They have fantastic bartenders that really know what they're doing and can make some very creative drinks if want them to do so. Special Shout Out to Corey and Jeff for making some amazing cocktails based on my specific tastes and their recommendations! The service is always excellent and the ambiance is quite nice! Food still decent but the service has been really bad. 45 minutes for a pizza, food coming out 20 minutes apart for different folks at the table, inattentive servers. I've been craving good Italian food, and this place came to mind. Since it has become quite the hot spot in Fort Mill, I made sure to make RSVP for dinner. Good thing...'cuz this place was packed! The place itself is quite quaint...and no overhead music either. Basically had a busy, local pub type vibe...but still, I trusted that they had good Italian food here. Again, this place is owned by folks that run Flipside, FM Eatery and more...so good foods should be the norm. Well, everything we ordered lived up to my expectations. Fried Calamari was not only delicious, but uniquely so...in that it was deeply flash fried with extra flavor. I LOVED this! I ordered their Chicken Parmesan again...and loved that as well. My husband ordered their Eggplant Parmesan, which came with Spaghetti noodle...and he loved that too. I must mention that the presentation could have been better. Then their Creme Brulee was really original, in that it had this coffee flavor, with Biscotti on top. Not only delicious, but every dish we ordered had a unique twist. Kudos to that! Even this cocktail (Negroni?) was awesome...tasty, and so strong! Despite the mediocre ambiance, the foods more than made up for it. Service was good too. Last week I had a party there for 17 people, I have called around to see if any restaurants can take 15 ppl for a birthday party.. And Salmeri's was the only one that can do it without a call back from a manager. Later on, I went from 15 to 17 people with no problem. We were all there to celebrate my cousin's 45th birthday. I know I was loud: excitement, so I'm sorry to the other guests. Many family members like Salmeri's food and customer service. Some even went back there for lunch with their kids. I have alway enjoyed Salmeri's on a quiet night. I ordered the tomato soup, very tasty, and the short rib entree with brocolini, my dining mate had eggplant parmesan and our friends had a personal pizza with feta and artichoke and fig and cheese flatbread. Bread and olive oil on the table. My brocolini was raw, crunchy and they agreed to cook a new serving for me, but still to raw for me. My short rib was tender with a fatty layer on top, I did not taste any of the wine it was braised in. I was the only one at the table who really didn't care for my dinner. Well it is the 18th of November 2025 and our men's club from Regency Palisades had our monthly lunch meeting Brew Ha at Salmeri's Italian Kitchen today. Nobody got upset, everyone loved their meals and special shout out to Hailey our host and she had no problem keeping track of 15 different tickets and was all over the service and brought the food out hot which made this a special men's group lunch. We eat all over Charlotte and have never received that much respect and "No problem attitude" the place has going. Very clean restaurant and happy employees. Finally - I got to go to this darling reataurant with a great Host - Dominic ! We had a great Server - Sophie! We had a party of 8 and she took wonderful care of us . We started out with Calamari and Warm Olives Both were fresh and delicious ! I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine, the Shrimp were huge and tender and I think their Pasta is fantastic! The Cajun sauce was just spicy enough-and creamy ! Others had the Chicken Carbonara and. Caesar with salmon and Pesto Salmon Pasta .. the kids were taken care of with Spaghetti and meatballs and Shrimp Fettuccine and Caesar salad. I don't event know where to start, between the food, the drinks, the dessert and service, everything was outstanding. It reminded me of a super traditional Italian restaurant with a modern but still authentic twist. We got pizza, beef short ribs and Caesar salad with shrimp, everything tasted homemade and fresh. We celebrated someone's birthday and even got a free dessert. We went for the cannoli cake, picture a deconstructed cannoli but in cake form! It was one of the best things I ever had! The overall restaurant layout is a bit odd with tables not evenly placed at the front and inside of the restaurant. It is a classic neighborhood restaurant for locals who would like to get out of the house and grab a meal, or a very causal, low key hangout with friends. Went to Salmeri's tonight with some guests... waited over an hour for food and then shrimp came out raw in my pasta... waiter was apologetic and they took care of my meal..... but very disappointing. This was our first visit. We decided on Salmeri's to celebrate our boys' good grades and efforts at school. We had a reservation but waited maybe 10-15 mins upon arrival to be seated. We were surprised how busy it was upon arrival. Every table was taken and guests continued to come in as we waited to be seated. Overall the restaurant was smaller than expected. Also more casual than expected. Server greeted us promptly for drink order; and we added the calamari as an appetizer. It was delicious but presentation was different from pics seen on Yelp. Our server did forget to bring us bread for the table. I had to request, and one of my boys thoroughly enjoyed the bread dipped in the calamari marinara sauce. Our boys each did the 3 for $32....ceaser salads, pastas, and dessert. I had the salmon. And my husband had the penne carbonara. My salmon was salty, but otherwise flavorful and cooked to request. But nothing I would crave for a return. My husband wished the penne carbonara had more spinach but otherwise enjoyed. For my boys, they are big eaters but both had leftovers to take home. They enjoyed the Caesar salad and bolognese and fettuccine. I did try the fettuccine and noodles tasted authentic and fresh. I think we would return, but I would try other food options. The fried calamari was OK - nothing special (not a lot of tentacles - which is the part I like....). Chicken parm was very good (they didn't skimp on the sauce). The bucatini was slightly overcooked. My glass of Quercia was excellent pairing. Short ribs were flavorful. Bolognese was still good. Portions are generous but not crazy large. 6-630PM Thursday night seemed to be peak hours. Meh. My husband's shrimp weren't cleaned enough (gritty). No normal fettuccine noodles. I think they only serve buccatini fettuccine (al dente and thin in size but thicker) or pappardelle (super wide & flat). The flavor in the table's olive oil sunk to the bottom of the bowl and there was soo much oil it was hard not to drown the bread in oil. I kept trying to stir it up. The chicken & bread was good though. Staff all seemed new. The bar tender was a talker so that's always nice if you're alone, wanna sit at the bar and chat. I would try it again. Worse take-out food EVER! Salmon pesto pasta had zero flavor barely any salmon. They gave me little pieces of salmon that looked like bacon bits and the pesto sauce was non existent it was just plain pasta. It looked nothing like the photo someone left a review a month ago. What a gem! I was looking for something fast, convenient, on my way home from work. I was starving (so don't judge me). Just for the record- this review is based on my to go experience. They have a 3 for $30 deal and I HIGHLY recommend. You get any salad, pasta dish, and a dessert. How could I say no right?! If salads are your thing, you MUST get the strawberry burrata!!! So fresh, delicious and just perfect. I loved the toasted ciabatta slice it came with and ended up making a little bruschetta out of it. I also got the chicken Parmesan (it was good but not great). The chicken was more dry than I like and slightly burnt. I wouldn't get it again but that's okay- there menu had plenty other tasty options! I had no idea what dessert to choose so the bartender recommended the crushed cannoli cake. Wow was it great. I highly recommend that as well. Just the right amount of sweet and richness. I got so much food for what I paid for, I felt like it had to have been a mistake. Overall a very happy experience. I can't wait to come back and eat in!
