I ordered from Italian Kitchen on 8/23/24. I ordered two cheesesteaks and 10 buffalo wings. As I was finishing up my sandwich I saw a small roach crawling on the bag. OMG I cringed. I immediately killed it and grabbed the rest of the uneaten food and placed it in a bag as I didn't want anything else to happen in case there were more in my bag. I called Italian Kitchen to let them know what happened and was told by Vickie they have "no" roaches. Okay so that is virtually impossible in a food service business however, okay let's go with that. I know for certain there are no roaches in my home. So I told her if you have no roaches and I know I don't there must be an issue in the driver's car. The health department wrote up the 63rd street location so I would never buy anything there. I never had a problem at the Baltimore ave location. Her offer to me was to come and inspect the establishment and give me a credit towards a future order. So now I work for the Health Department? And what would make her think I would want something from this place after this experience? Eat here at your own risk. I am saddened to say they will not get another dime from me. read more

This was a nice little surprise. I got the three cheeses Cheesesteak which comes on a garlic roll. I like this cheesesteak. It seems like everyone ordering had a special order and it did not upset the nice people at the Italian Kitchen. I think I can draw with all my inner J Cole and build something beautiful on the three cheeses Cheesesteak Foundation. It was cheesy. It was garlicy. The roll had a nice toast. It was under $10. I would have liked more meat. I get/understand the whole melting the cheese on top but I still like my cheese mixed in with my meat. read more

This is my favorite place the get a hoagie. I don't mind taking the 15-20 min ride. I know my sandwich will be right!! There is metered street parking, sometimes depending on the day and or time it's busy. This place is not modern but it's clean. The customer service is great and friendly. The food comes out quick. I love their turkey and cheese hoagies because they use fresh home style meat. The cheese is sliced perfect. The bread is sturdy and fresh always. I love that they know exactly how the make it. The portion is great from r the price. My only complaint is that they have a limited amount of chip selection. Everyone knows you need HOT CHIPS with a good hoagie. I never got anything else from here. I usually order my hoagie for take out. Although you can sit and eat I rather eat at home. Buffalo Chix Cheese Steak is soooo goooddd. Get it on the lunch menu and you'll be happy. However my issue is depending on who picks up the phone you may or may not get blue cheese on it even though you specifically ask for it. This has happened to me 3 times. Ordered from grubhub. My salad was decent but the "chili cheddar cheese fries" I ordered for $7 looked like this. When I called the restaurant the woman on the phone was rude af and told me they don't sell cheddar cheese and id have to call grubhub. There was cheddar cheese all over my salad...also after I placed the order and paid the restaurant changed my total while my food was being delivered to add a $3 delivery charge that wasn't there when I ordered. The woman on the phone tried to tell me that the menu only said chili fries while I was looking at it so that she did not have to refund me. Then she told me I'd have to call Grubhub, who told me the restaurant had to approve the refund first. Italian kitchen put grubhub on hold and never came back to the phone. I got a grubhub credit for $10 but this is a dishonest business who clearly has such a low level of integrity they'd serve someone something like this then lie to someone in their own community to keep from being accountable. Italian kitchen hasn't been a hit since the 90's and pretty much now is a miss. I ordered their Mega onion rings which comes with bacon bits, ranch dressing, and cheese it taste over cooked like burnt and gave me a funny after taste to the point it made me sick to my stomach so I trashed it. With them I had their 3cheese steak which was another no no based on the taste of it, I asked for extra mayonnaise but didnt get but light mayo also I forgot to mention I had this food delivered but was pissed to recieve it cold so overall Italian kitchen fell off so much you might as well keep it moving while driving pass this establishment If your on Baltimore Pike. By far the best pizza I've found outside Philly so far. And, when I am feeling lazy and don't want to walk, they will deliver to the bar where I shoot pool occasionally, (which gets them bonus points in my book even if it takes forever when they are only a block and a half away). The dough is solid, yeasty and chewy; crispy and thin under the sauce and cheese with thick, puffy crusts. The sauce is rich, thick and garlicky goodness, covered with a dense, stringy layer of delicious, quality mozarella. I really don't know about anything else they make, but I will swear by their pizza (I can polish off a medium on my own in about ten minutes-- it's so good it hurts). read more

Very friendly and helpful staff when we were there for lunch. They were able to provide parking advice, and cooked our food fresh to order. The whole place seemed clean, the sandwiches tasty & the fries almost perfect - what more can you ask for? They're consistently yummy and affordable. If you live nearby, don't miss out, but if you're far away, don't extend your comfort to get to here. If I could give zero stars I would! Service was horrible and my food was disgusting. The chicken in my chicken cheesesteak was undercooked and my roll was rock hard! On top of that my fries were cold. When I called to let them know the hostess told me to call back at 10pm once her manager arrived. I'd figured that was crap but decided to call anyway. When I called back at 10:40 a foreign lady answered the phone.. when I proceeded to let her know my issue the lady I spoke to before was in the back yelling calling me a liar. I proceeded to ask for the manger and was informed that "He ain't here! Call back in the morning!" So I asked the lady for her name and she began to yell and put me on hold. Once off of hold I again asked for her name and yelled "WHAT DO YOU NEED ME DAMN NAME FOR!" And hung up on me! I called back and they answered and hung up again!! I called a third time and this time the lady didn't even let me get a word in.. she told me that the store has NEVER had a complaint and I didn't know what I was talking about before hanging up on me again! This place has gotten highly inconsistent with the quality of their food. Very inconsistent. Up until about a year ago I often ordered pizza from them, which was very enjoyable then. They would give me exactly what I asked for on the pizza, no problem at all. I started ordering from them again. Whenever I order, I ask for extra sauce, because for some reason this place has always had a problem with putting a decent amount of sauce on their pizza, apparently. I recently ordered from grubhub, asking for extra sauce on top of the pizza (they like neglect putting it on unless you ask for it on top). GH got back to me saying that would be an extra $2, which was fine just so long as they gave me what I wanted. Surprise, surprise, I hardly got what I asked for. Instead of putting a decent amount, they instead put an insanely small amount of sauce on top of the pizza in about three different spots on the pie. Looking at this, I felt like a god damn joke was being played on me, that some snarky ass cook thought it was funny to be this neglectful of customer's orders. Once again, I was charged for a topping that they neglected to give me. If their service is this inconsistent with how they treat their customers, and they can't even do something so easy, then it frightens me to think how inconsistent their other food must be, and how customers don't get what they ask for. So simple, too. So folks, if you're looking for a new place to get pizza from, or returning to this place, do yourself a favor and don't. Italian Kitchen has become very neglectful in giving consistent meals and retaining any decent quality in their food. Their cooks are neglectful and can't even do extremely simple requests when asked to clearly. There are better pizza places around here, and I guarantee that even chain pizza places keep the quality of their food consistent. If they're not going to give the costumers what they want then your money is better spent elsewhere. read more
