For the past 10yrs or more we have frequented this spot typically for pizza. Service is good and they are quick to get you your food. We have come to enjoy the chicken pesto sandwich but last night we tried a pasta special of egg noodle pasta with shrimp, spinach, roasted peppers in a wine sauce. That dish was horribly under seasoned and the wine sauce was more like pasta water. I caught a bunch of flack for straying from the usual so we will stick to a slice. Will not come back !!! I Went to lunch with friends, they all got lunch, ate and still have not received my food after a half hour. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT MY FOOD, THEY ACTED LIKE THEY HAD FORGOTTEN ALL ABOUT MY ORDER. After asking a second time, I asked for a refund on my card, but couldn't even get a receipt showing it was refunded. Been to Sensations for a few years now. You order your food at the counter and they bring your food to the table so not full service. I've tried many of the menu items. For starters, can't go wrong with Calamari, Bruschetta or Mozzarella sticks. The Pasta Bolognese is some of the best I've had and really like Tasha's favorite which has a variety of veggies and is on the lighter side. They usually have a Fra diavolo Seafood Pasta on the specials board that is excellent! For sandwiches, the Sensation Cheesesteak is over the top good and the Mozzarella with Prosciutto is my favorite sandwich on the menu. Pizza/Calzones are also good. Worst Customer Service! I ordered from Italian Sensations on Friday, February 14. I sent my husband to pick up the order and he was told there was no order. He had to reorder, wait an hour and pay a second time. I had ordered through Toast so I made contact with them. I was told they don't handle the $ so contact the restaurant. I did and was told to wait until the payments cleared assuring me that only one would clear. NOPE. They both did. I went in the next day and showed my bank proof along with the Toast order information. I was told they had to call Toast. They never did. I was in constant contact with Toast and they had reached out on my behalf confirming via voicemail that the order was received and paid for. The next day I asked my husband to follow up and he was told I was wrong and confused. They wouldn't be returning any $. I never received an apology of any kind. Most businesses would apologize and offer something for your trouble. We had to file a claim with our bank. I will never go there again and would absolutely advise everyone to be cautious. They probably think I was going to drop the whole thing being a "confused woman" and all! read more

I called Italian Sensations in Bel Air today and wanted to place a catering order for a company picnic. A girl answered the phone and I asked to speak with someone for catering orders. She said, I can help. I ordered 10 pizzas and salad for 30 people to be delivered to Schucks Park 301 Schucks Rd, Bel Air, Md 21015 on Thursday 6/13 3 pm with her. She put me on hold and came back and said we can't deliver this. I asked why, she said you need to pick this up. I said, it says delivery over $150 on the website and I can't pick this up. She said, we changed the amount. I said, what was it changed to? She said, do you want to speak with the manager, I said yes. The phone was placed on hold but really, they hung up on me. Came here today for an early dinner with some work friends. Even at an awkward in between lunch/dinner time the place was pretty packed! Still easy enough to find a table but you can tell it's a popular place. This is the type restaurant where you order/pay first and then you get a number to put at your table and your food is brought out to you. Their menu has pretty standard pizzeria items: pizza, pasta, strombolis/calzones, subs, salads, etc. Their menu is pretty large. I decided to go with the sensation cheesesteak which was a regular cheesesteak with mushrooms, peppers, and onions. I also got a side of fries. Let me tell you, service was FAST! We barely sat down before food started coming out. And everything was super hot to the point where I had to wait a little bit before I dug into my cheesesteak (I mean this in a good way- it was fresh off the grill!) The side of fries was ginormous, they could definitely be shareable. Overall the prices here are pretty cheap ($13 for cheesesteak, big basket of fries, and fountain drink) and the quality of the food is great. Even though you don't technically have a "server" here we still had someone check on our table and see if we were ok and ask if we need boxes. Everything about this place was a pleasant experience! I've been looking for a good marinara sauce in Bel Air. Maybe it's my pallet but everything I taste is sweet. While Italian Sensations was the best of what I've tried, it still wasn't what I was craving. Besides the sweetness, the edges were almost uncuttable. It's is VERY meaty which is great if you like that. I'm not a huge meat eater and don't hold that against the restaurant but I like more ricotta. I'm not sure if the bread is homemade but it's delicious. Service is friendly and fast. I'm not a huge sub person but my brother in law said it's the best sub he's ever had, so don't dismiss it...try it yourself. read more

Are you kidding me. Horrible customer service. This might seem petty to some, but when pay for your pizza up front like in a place like this, you expect the order was taken properly. I ordered at the counter 2 large pepperoni pizzas and 1 sausage pizza with the drinks for the family. So, when the first pizza comes out half pepperoni and half cheese, I told the guy what I ordered. Makes no sense to order 2 pizzas with half pepperoni and half cheese. Yes, I said that right. Next, the girl who took the order comes to the table and apologizes for her mistake and tells me to go pay for the extra toppings. REALLY? If the girl makes a mistake taking my order and I already paid, why would anyone even think of even asking to pay the extra charge. They should've just made the pizza like I ordered and went on with the day. This put a negative taste in my mouth and changed the entire mood of the family for our family dinner. I love these kind of places. There are quite a few italian restaurants around that operate in pretty much the same way. They are all located in shopping centers. You walk in and there is a carry out counter. You walk past that and you have a complete view of the Kitchen and at the end of the counter you find a young kid ready to take your order. We placed our order. They had an appetizer that was called "meatballs" and nothing else ... had to order that. Two salads, two entrees, two drinks, $40 bill and we picked out our seats. Moments after we sat down food started rolling out. Not only were they fast ... the food was awesome. Overall this is a great go to spot for a casual dining experience. I would imagine just about anything is good to eat here but when the kid ask you what you want say " I want Balls" and see what his reaction is.
