Food came quickly. I called an order and it was there in less than 30 minutes. Ordering and talking over the phone was nice. I ordered one large pizza plain. Two cheesesteaks. One cheesesteak with mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, fried onions, well done toasted roll . Never ordered here so I didn't know what to expect. I opened it up and it was a lot of steak, which was great. It had everything I ordered didn't leave anything out. It looked great. It taste great. It was so unbelievably good. Being from southwest Philly it's hard to find a good cheesesteak around here anymore and this is my go to place now. And the pizza was very tasty. Yum Yum Yum..!!!! Italiano's is a neighborhood Italian-American restaurant that has its own free parking lot directly across the street. I had dinner there last week. My order was for the Penne alla Siciliano for $21. First to arrive was a generous sized bread stick basket, complimentary of course. Then the side salad that came with the meal arrived with quality greens and slices of tomato and cucumber. I asked to try their homemade ranch dressing too. It was a quality first course salad. That dressing stood out to me. Within 15 later the entree arrived. It had shrimp, scallops and crab meat in their "aurora" sauce over penne. This dish had a lot of the aforementioned seafood in it bathed in a delicious sauce. This dish not only tasted very good but was filling. I was pleased with the amount of seafood included and for $21 the entire meal represented value. The table service was friendly too. Italiano's probably caters more to its neighborhood than to tourists like me. It's very casual inside and has one medium size dining room. Nothing fancy here for sure. But, if you are looking for a very good meal at reasonable prices come here. I think you will enjoy it! read more

I've been wanting to try Italiano's for years and finally made it there last week with my daughter and three grandsons. We went for an early dinner and were the only people in the dining area but a big group came in right before we headed out. Overall, the food was great - fresh cold salads, warm garlicky breadsticks, perfectly cooked pastas, and delicious Chicken Franchaise. As others have said, the place is small and could use a little updating but it was comfortable enough for us. I'm not really into fancy all that much anyway so it was just fine for me. Before my most recent lunch trip, I hadn't visited Italiano's in a few years. Shame on me! This place is awesome! Parking can be found easily in a parking lot across the street. When I stepped out of my car all I could smell were the fantastic aroma's coming from their spot. When you walk inside you will see a take out window on your right and a seating area on the left. The seating area isn't big, it isn't small, but with COVID they have every other table closed. The girl who helped me went over the menu and helped me remember the last meal I had there so the menu hasn't changed much in recent years. I went with the Penne Alla Siciliano - Shrimp, scallops & crab meat tossed in aurora sauce at $14.25. I was not disappointed, the portion was as I remembered, huge! You could feed two people with that dish and it's not even their bigger dinner portion! The penne was cooked perfect and the aurora sauce was creamy, a little sweet and rich. Went well with the seafood which was fresh and minced into small chunks. The breadsticks that came with it helped soak up some of the aurora left over. This place is such a gem, they were very busy and very nice. If you're in the area seek this place out and wear pants with a little bit of room! You will leave happy and stuffed. read more

So good! It's a low-key local place with great, classic Italian-American food. If you grew up in between New Haven and Philly - and ate it in NY/LI - you know what I mean. Had the Pork & Rabe - perfect! Juicy roast pork with spicy-slightly bitter broccoli rabe covered with melted provolone all in a fresh sub bun - great for sopping up the juice. The sausage pizza was house-made dough served thin crust. Great balance of sausage, sauce and cheese. The cannoli was fresh with pistachios in the filling and served on a plate with doily and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Tasted like I was eating in my best friend's mother's kitchen as a kid. Service was great - sincere and helpful. They cater and the trays of food they were preparing behind the counter looked so good. We will gladly take a detour off 95 to stop in again. read more

Food here is very good. Their house italian dressing is delicious and is also useful dipping the warm fresh breadsticks they provide. Pasta is always fresh. Our family, 6 to eight at any time, has never had a bad meal and have been there many times. There is no ambiance, but that is fine with us because the food is so good. Prices are also very reasonable and meals come with a salad and the breadsticks. Wait staff is friendly and provides good service for the most part. The only heads up I would give is whatever the closing time is listed as, that is when they would like you out the door. Most recent visit we were seated an hour before closing and the waitress starts off with, 'the owners wanted to remind you we close ar 8'. Has happened multiple times where you feel a little pressured to make sure you are out, but we put up with it because the food is good. read more

This was a big boy cheesesteak. I got the works Paris. When Italiano's says the works, they mean the works. I think everything that was not nailed down in the restaurant was in this cheesesteak. The beautiful part is it all worked together. Nothing tried to steal the show. Big soft bun. This might be the answer to a lot of sauce. $10, felt a touch high. A little while in the wall with literally the best Italian food we've ever had. Rosemary was our server and they just don't get better then that! Ordered the penne siciliano and it was phenomenal. They did not skimp on the seafood. Tried the eggplant Parmesan and it was cooked perfect and delicious. My son loved the Alfredo. Everyone in our party thought it was excellent. It was the worst chicken parm I have ever had in my life, sauce was like water and the chicken was so rough and choppy. Mozzarella sticks were just slop crumbling apart. Place went downhill. I went there to eat one evening and it was dead except for the phone ringing for delivery. The waitress/hostess totally ignored us and answered the delivery calls. Stood there for about 5 mins before we were told to sit anywhere. Sat down in the dining room and waited and waited for service. Mind you, we were the only people in the dining room which had many tables with dirty dishes on them. We decided to walk out when we looked up and saw black mold on the white wall above our table. Don't let the modest setting fool you - this place is excellent! The food is legit and the staff are attentive and super welcoming! We had the Pork & Rabe Sandwich. Juicy pork with loads of tender rabe - Perfection! The tuna salad came with a generous portion of tuna salad - enough for 2 meals for me. My test of a solid restaurant is the freshness of it's produce. The salad did not disappoint - crisp veg perfectly plated and prepped. The place doesn't look like much but the food is very good. The chicken spumante is so good that I have had it the last two times I have been there. Portions are huge so we always leave with a take home box. The waitress even boxed and bagged it up for us. That doesn't happen much anymore. After living in Marcus Hook for 3 years with this place being only like five blocks from my house, I finally went in to try with with two friends. All I can say is the people raving about how GREAT it is have either never had genuinely great Italian food or are kissing the ass of the owners because they know them. The food is average at best. I enjoyed our server, she was attentive and friendly and we tipped well. The portions were actually HUGE, so people complaining about small portions... I don't know what to say. Family owned, small spot in a not so great part of town. When my mom pulled up here, I was like YO! Mom! Where are you taking me? Should have trusted her, after all, she did give them 4 stars on Yelp =) So, don't let the outside or neighborhood fool you, they can cook! It's BYOB so do that! No wine corkage fee, of course! Real casual dining room and don't expect ambiance, it's not flashy. If you go in with the expectations that you are there for the company you are with and the food and you will have a great experience. It's a mixed crowd as well, older and families. One thing that wasn't great was it was one large seating area that wasn't very insulated so it was very loud in there. Not great for an intimate setting or low key kind of date. Let's start with the bread... ohhhhh the breadsticks. My word! I had about 6, my mom had to remove them from arms reach from me because I could have just made my meal of those. So perfect, warm, tasty and fresh. Delicious. If you love bread, don't skimp here, eat them! Began with the Caprese salad - but it was not the normal, it was tomatoes and mozzarella on a bead of greens. It was good. This is definitely one of my favorite place for pasta. Everything is so fresh and very flavorful. Service is outstanding and I love the small family vibe of the restaurant/pizza parlor. My one go to item is usually a pasta dish with seafood. They have a few on the menu and all of them are delicious. Another item is always one of their specials. My wife loves trying new things, so we always tend to stick with one original item and one specialty. During the most recent trip, we ordered this chicken topped with lobster in this amazing sauce. The chicken was beyond moist and they topped it with a TON (when I say ton, I mean every bite had chunks) of lobster in a lobster sherry sauce. It was unreal! Other items we had was the calamari. It was lightly breaded and served with their marinara sauce. My son practically ate the entire plate and almost cried when we ran out.
