I am so glad I took my dog for training with Tim Crawford. My dog was very reactive, high anxiety,…read moreterritorial, and had various other behavioral issues, including barking, leash pulling, lunging and leash aggression. Leaving the house was pure chaos and nearly impossible to do. Encounters with strangers and other dogs were complete hell that I tried to avoid at all costs so my dog ended up staying home most of the time. I tried other trainers and anxiety medications for my dog but they provided minimal relief. Once I took my dog to Tim, I started seeing improvement each week. Tim is very knowledgeable about dog behavior and offers a very individualized approach to every dog's needs. He is passionate about dogs and dog training and really cares about getting results for you and your dog. He listens and provides thoughtful insight and helps you to understand and change your dog's behavior so that you have life-long lasting results. He has completely rehabilitated my dog in a way that I didn't think was possible. He really believed in my dog's potential and encouraged me not to give up, for which I am incredibly thankful. His classes are interesting and uniquely designed and focus on a variety of skills so that your dog is challenged and not bored. It has been very rewarding seeing my dog (as well as all the other dogs in the class) make so much progress. Thanks to Tim my dog no longer has to be left behind at home and I can take him with me when I go out. He is much calmer and more confident, listens to commands and gets compliments on his manners. I can now take him on walks, go to parks, the beach, outdoor patios, shopping, etc. and enjoy life and the city together. Even if your dog doesn't have behavioral issues, I really recommend Tim and his dog training classes for basic dog obedience. Even if your dog just needs to brush up on a few skills like listening to commands, leash walking, impulse control, etc., I highly recommend Tim. Having a well trained dog is an invaluable asset, it has really changed mine and my dog's life. Thank you Tim!

We would always book an extra large suite with patio access allowing the dogs to go in and out of a doggie door all day long and they had plenty of room within the suite and would have some yard/playtime, depending on their temperament. Every suite door has a paper with all the details about your animal and any special dietary restrictions or temperament issues so anybody dealing with your dog knows what's up before they even approach them. Our dogs were always happy when we picked them up.

And a place that can handle all his medications. After several failures, I was referred to this location through Shelton's adoption center, One Tail At A Time. He has never been so calm and chill, leaving boarding, too bad I missed a video opp! Typically he is all ball of anxiety, this is also the first time he's gone straight to sleep after arriving home!! Checking in, the staff said, "if you don't hear from us, that is a good thing." I was a bit skeptical, but that was a true statement! They called when something was right with his poop when there was extra medication in his bag and to inquire about his toys. I appreciated the ongoing communication, and judging by the report card, he loved the team. I was side-eying the $88 a day (with a private patio), but it is worth the price (esp if your pet is non-animal friendly). The basic suites are spacious for a short stay.

I called bark buster and left a message within minutes Marlene called back and she was extremely helpful and professional. We agreed to meet at 11 AM on a Sunday... Marlene and Howard arrived 15 minutes earlier. They were wearing professional attire and display grace and friendliness. Once they enter the apartment with such manners, you can feel they are family already. They looked at my puppies and went to explained the program to me, while Howard was explaining the program, my puppy started chewing a piece of wood, Marlene, said a command and the puppy stopped immediately (magic). Not only I was impressed and I felt secure by Marlene and Howard, they only want from me to provide the best life for my puppies. We did some training with the puppies and the results are amazing. The puppies are lovely, tender, respectful. Thank to Bark busters I can continue my training to have best friends for life. They have a great way to explained the reality of a dog life! The training sessions were very generic and we did not feel like any progress was being made with our dog. We did not reach out for further sessions after the first few but circled back after a few months hoping for a different experience. After booking an appointment we were notified that the only trainer for this company in our area was leaving the business. Now we have spent $2,000 for a lifetime trainer that we can no longer use. We have reached out to corporate for assistance but no one will respond to us. Overall I would not recommend this company unless you are looking for basic training. I do not think all behavioralist trainers are created equal and this company is not providing a true behaviorist trainer. Certifications don't necessarily translate to quality. Couple that with poor customer service and you have what appears to be a money grab from customers that are genuinely looking for help in a time of need.

The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

He looked just like my beloved dog that I loved and lost at 16 years of age. We found Max at K-9 Tailshakers and thru research felt we found the best of the best. We had the foster family drop him off. He bit me twice previously, so I knew this was no easy task and the transition would leave me wounded from dog bites. Max worked with him only a week. He was then a totally different dog. The foster family and all of the GS group were amazed and in awe of the work done. Our boy turned into a loving, sweet and behaved gorgeous but still lethal family dog. Max has our total respect and gratitude for taking our doomed baby and making him an incredible companion The education has not ended. We will consider this a process and take him back periodically for training and board. Max is like part of the family now and we feel so indebted for what he accomplished. We recommend him for all creatures big and small. He really trains the human and the dog. You can tell that he truly loves his work and creates a bond with the dog almost instantly. My wife and I chose to train with the Sit Means Sit team in may of 22. Kerry and her teams training program was exactly what Buzz and I needed. Just 7 months later, I can confidently take my dog anywhere and know that he will be focused on me when told. Sit means Sit gives us the opportunities to socialize and reinforce the training with their group classes. Buzz also loves his additional 'change of leadership training' that allows him to get used to day camp with a one on one trainer without me being a distraction. I can now confidently leave him at day camp. Best of all, my 9 year old niece practices training with buzz when she visits. Kerry, Sarah, and the Sit Means Sit team has helped and continues to go out of their way to make Buzz a great dog.

Don't hire this woman, unless you want to pay her to harass and verbally attack your law-abiding neighbors, while torturing your dog with an e-collar. In front of the owners, she purposely let their dog CHARGE at my dog and I, before zapping the dog to stop. Walking on the sidewalk, I saw the off-leash dog and waited for them to go into their house and avoid a confrontation. The woman (I didn't know was a "trainer") and I locked eyes, she knew I was respectfully, waiting to cross. However, I didn't realize she was planning to let the dog BOLT towards my dog. She let the dog run at me, across their lawn. She then proceeded to verbally attack me for being upset about it. THIS IS NOT OKAY. I understand they were on their front lawn. But the dog was not secured and an e-collar is not a leash. And of course, how would an innocent bystander know the dog was going to get shocked and turn around. But I should have known, because before this, I heard a dog crying in agony down the street. Obviously, he's not trained. She's just going to torture your dog and call it "trained." Do not pay this woman. I don't care if you're a trainer or not, you don't let a dog run at anyone!!
