I had a horrible experience at Ernie Patti Collision with estimator Bill Hayes. He was very rude and unprofessional. I went in for a car estimate. Bill walked me outside to begin the estimate. The initial conversation with Bill was unfriendly and not very welcoming, but I overlooked it multiple times. He proceeded to inspect my vehicle. Then I asked him to take pictures of my entire vehicle to assess all damage. He was very quick with me and denied my request. He told me that he would not do anything other than what was on his assignment and said so in a very rude manner! At that point i called my insurance company and spoke with the claims adjuster on speaker phone and he told Bill to please assess the entire vehicle and he would handle it further. Bill continued to deny me additional support and was very disrespectful. He walked inside while I was still on the phone and told me he's just not doing it. After a few minutes I went back inside to meet Bill so he could speak with my claims adjuster. Bill didn't even want to speak with him and proceeded to say that I was lying about my damage, that he wasn't doing it and doesn't care and had a full blown debate about what I happened to my vehicle as if he was at the scene of the incident, instead of simply doing his job. He threw a temper tantrum and walked off. He denied me additional support and accused me of lying about the assess damage to my vehicle. After he returns with another employee possibly a supervisor he begins to have an argument with me right in front of the entire staff and customer, all while the claims adjuster was still on speaker phone. At the point I was being discriminated against and wasn't comfortable receiving services. I asked for my keys back and told the staff I would else where where I feel respected. Bill threw my keys on the counter and looked me right in my eyes with the most disgusted look and told me I can leave. This was a horrific experience! Very poor customer service. read more

My car catalytic converter was stolen .. and I only had the car for two months. Thankfully my insurance connected me with this place and they have been super responsive and professional. I brought my car in and they checked on it asap. Also provide text/email updates as the claim processes. When my car was hit, my insurance company selected Ernie Patti for me as the body shop. I couldn't have asked for a better vendor! In a crappy situation, this business made it as positive an experience as possible. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful from the front desk receptionist to the automotive specialists. The communication along the way is superb. They called me to let me know updates and were prompt in responding. My estimate for length of repair was 5 days but my car was completed in 3 days despite them finding some extra repairs to be completed after getting started. While your car is being repaired, you can log in online and see pictures of the progress. Hopefully I don't need a body shop anytime soon but if I do, I would return here. I have dealt with Ernie Patti three different times over the last couple years and am amazed at how smoothly ever interaction has gone. They make good use of technology to keep me updated on the progress of the work via txt messages. I have never waited in the facility more than a minute or two. The people are very friendly and helpful. They coordinate with Enterprise on a rental car and even dropped the rental car off for me. Most importantly, the work is first class. My car comes out looking great and they vacuum and clean it. I know it sounds strange to be this happy about an auto body shop, but no one is in a great mood when their car is wrecked and the last thing you want is a hassle getting it fixed. Dealing with Ernie Patti is a completely stress free experience! I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

Had to take my car here to get body work fixed because of an uninsured driver hitting my car while it was parked. The situation was confusing because my insurance was paying for the repair in damages. My car is with me in Missouri, but the insurance and title for the car are under my parents in Illinois. EP's was one of the in-network auto body shops for State Farm (which is my insurance provider) in St. Louis. EP's did a great job on the actual work on the car and my car looks good as new!!! The actual labor and work really made me happy. However, the service was a different story. Somewhat slow (2 full weeks from when I dropped it off to when I picked it up) and the communication was horrible. I had to call them several times to get updates and/or pricing or status. It was almost as if they expected me to know the process with filing through the insurance or steps to ordering parts and fixing the car. They were unprofessional in the office, taking smoke breaks and answering phone calls mid-conversations with me. Also, my car was ready and sitting there for 2+ days before they called me to let me know. I didn't have a rental car and was carpooling with my husband everywhere, so it would have been helpful to get the car as soon as they finished. They were fully aware that I didn't have a backup vehicle, and didn't speed up the process or communicate effectively during this time. Pricing was fair, or at least I thought so. I only had to pay my deductible with the insurance company, so not sure what the prices were like compared to other auto body services. Overall, great place to take your car if you want your car fixed right and if you don't mind slow and crappy customer service. read more

I had a great experience at Ernie Patti's. They did a great job on my car and operated on a very efficient basis. They are quick, have excellent communication and stand behind their work by providing customers with a lifetime warranty. I drive an infiniti G37x and had well over $7,000 worth of damages done to the front of my car. They finished the job in about 2 weeks and my car looks brand new. I was beyond satisfied with their work and even called afterwards to tell them how impressed I was. read more

Regarding that service, I have to say that EP's does a good job quickly and fairly. If you're paying out of pocket, they might be inclined to sell you some "extra" parts and services, but that shouldn't dissuade you from considering EP's if you find yourself in an unfortunate vehicular situation. read more

I will be coming back for any repairs needed on my vehicle. I came to EP with a very minor repair on my trunk, a very insignificant amount of money, but they treated me very well, went above and beyond on the minor touches, such as informing me I needed a new head light, which I told them to go ahead a replace and add to the bill. They called back within a few minutes and informed me they would just add the head light for free. This was a $400 repair bill, not thousands of dollars where I would expect a cheap throw in.
