His service was the highlight of my visit and the primary reason for my overall rating. I also appreciated another associate who kindly offered me a beverage. However, aside from these interactions, I found the overall customer service to be lacking. Several associates did not acknowledge me--there were no greetings, smiles, or offers of assistance. Upon leaving after completing my purchases, I passed a group of staff members engaged in conversation, and no one acknowledged or thanked me. I would also like to note that, as a person of color, the only individuals who greeted or engaged with me were also people of color, including the security staff at the entrance. I believe this is important feedback for fostering a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all customers.

However, I recommend against purchasing some of the more expensive jewelry from Scosha if you're hoping they'll be be durable/last a long time. I purchased two solid silver cuffs as engagement bracelets for me and my fiancee - unfortunately, mine broke after a month of wear. To their credit, when I called, they said they'd repair it and only charge the shipping fee. I specifically asked whether soldering it as a fix would make it weaker and I was told it would actually make the bracelet stronger. The bracelet broke again in the exact same place within a week of wear. At that point, they sent me a new bracelet and told me that silver cuffs should not be taken on and off or adjusted too much (then what is the point?). After getting my new cuff, my fiancee woke up shortly thereafter to his cuff broken as well - he had not taken it off or adjusted it since he first put it on months earlier. Frustrated, I bought two silver chain link bracelets from Scosha, thinking they wouldn't have the same problem. Within a couple weeks, though, a connecting hoop on mine got caught on a towel and the bracelet now needs repair. The same small connecting hoop on my fiancee's bracelet is soldered into one piece, leading me to think it's either made with very cheap metal or the fabrication was done poorly. In any event: we're disappointed to say the least. We had hoped our bracelets would last a lifetime - but between two different bracelet types, well over $1K spent, and two different wearers, we've had 3+ breaks.

I decided to walk in this place because it's new, to me at least, and something sparkly in the window caught my eye. BIG mistake. Although I was the only customer in the store, the two shopgirls (yes, I deliberately use "girls" because no sensible adult would act so unprofessionally) not only refused to say "hi" or welcome me, as I walked past them and smiled, they simply glared at me with utmost disdain. Don't know whether that's because, being a Saturday, I was dressed casually, or whether it's because I am a woman of color, not a size zero, or *gasp* in my 40s. Whatever the reason for their horrible attitude, it's unacceptable for any business. Their loss, though. I've spent a lot of my money over the year at nearby boutiques, one particularly because of their lovely salespeople. If this place keeps up with the unwelcoming attitude, I can't imagine it being successful, especially considering that the quality of the merchandise is relatively subpar and unremarkable.
