One word, Ube. For the record, I'm a big fan of UBE…read more Friend of mine bought me an ube cream cake and some ube bread rolls from Bakers Avenue inside the newly opened Seafood City Supermarket. OMG- so grateful to have a friend who always thinks of me and loves to share food! LOL. The ube cream cake was a little firmer than the mainstream American/ Asian style cream cakes. That 4" by 4" all-purple piece of cake was good- Not overly sweet and just simply good. Over and above that, the ube bread rolls were pure deliciousness. The individually wrapped bread rolls were extremely soft and fluffy like Japanese milk bread. The sweet ube cream filling would be my favorite part of those fluffiest bread rolls. I just cant wait to visit the bakery shop and food court that fellow Yelpers raved over!

Her work is truly exceptional. Anyone who knows cakes -- especially wedding cakes -- understands that Cakes by Gina does extraordinary work. She has been established in the industry for a very long time, and her reputation speaks for itself. Her cakes are not only visually stunning, but they are also incredibly delicious. As someone who has been making cakes in this city for 25 years without a single complaint, I can confidently say her craftsmanship stands out. The level of detail in her designs is remarkable. They could design anything! CBG offers many flavors, but our favorites were the red velvet and bridal white cake. My husband and I love Tetris, and wanted to add that to the cake. CBG did a beautiful job executing that. We received so many compliments on our wedding cake! The reason why I knocked a star off is because the cakes are too sweet for me. If there was 30-40% less sugar, it would've been great. Asians like their desserts "not too sweet" lol. I've had too many dry wedding cakes in my life and the cakes here are consistently moist, which is a huge plus. The other reason why I gave this place 4 stars is because I had to send an inspo pic of how I wanted the flowers to be arranged multiple times to different people at Cakes by Gina. The day of my wedding, my coordinator asked me how I wanted the flowers to be arranged. I ended up explaining it to her and it worked out, but I'm surprised that a picture wasn't printed, or notes were not written down. I'm not gonna lie, they're pricey. The fact that the cake was beautiful and moist made it worth it.
