What really sets them apart is their transparency and professionalism. I love receiving the detailed service reports after every visit. They include clear pictures and a thorough explanation from the technician--like Ethan Green today--detailing exactly what areas were treated and which products were used. Whether it's dusting the eaves for wasps or creating a solid barrier around the foundation, they are meticulous and professional. It is rare to find a company that maintains this level of quality for nearly a decade. If you want a pest control team that is reliable and keeps you informed, I highly recommend Barefoot

We have been customers of Barefoot Mosquito for approximately 11 months, utilizing their regular…read moreservices. A couple months ago, a sales representative approached us about adding their mosquito treatment. Because we value our local ecosystem, we hesitated, explicitly stating we did not want to harm beneficial pollinators like bees and butterflies. The representative assured us--unequivocally--that the treatment was completely safe for pollinators. Based on that explicit assurance, we agreed to a trial treatment at a promotional rate to evaluate the service. The reality shifted the moment the technician arrived. When we reiterated our environmental concerns to him, he admitted that the sales team should never have made those claims. He confirmed that the treatment would, in fact, impact and likely kill the very pollinators we were trying to protect. Faced with conflicting information at the final hour, we allowed that single treatment to proceed, but the results were highly disappointing: we noticed absolutely no reduction in the mosquito population despite spending significant time outdoors. Because the service was both ecologically concerning and ineffective, we promptly requested a cancellation. It was only then that customer service informed us we were locked into a contract, demanding the full remainder of the term--nearly $600--just to cancel. We attempted to resolve this through multiple phone calls, even offering them the chance to retain our long-term business for their primary services if they waived this predatory fee. Management refused, choosing to prioritize a one-time $600 penalty over years of reliable, recurring revenue. Be aware when dealing with this company. Their sales tactics are fundamentally misleading, their contracts are designed to trap you, and they would rather penalize a loyal customer than take responsibility for their team's misinformation. I cannot recommend a business that operates with such short-sighted ethics.

We have had lots of pest control folks, over the course of nearly 40 years and homes in 4 states. Have not had a smiling, gregarious, knowledgeable, thorough technician as Ramone. That being said, we're grateful for the original.

The overall rating of this business is five stars. I decided to scan through the over 160 reviews…read moreand discovered that most of them were written by people with less than 20 reviews to their name. I tend to dismiss those reviews since they don't really have much skin in the Yelp game. There were just two elite reviews and that was a red flag to me as well. Nonetheless, I decided to give this company a chance and got a same day appointment to rid us of our carpenter ant issue. We've had carpenter ants running up and down our garage exterior for a long time and in the last few days we've had flying ants show up in our living room. It was time to bring in the pros. One thing you need to be aware of is that you can schedule an appointment for this service, but like most pest control companies, they will insist on a quarterly service agreement on top of the initial service. Our initial service cost was $134 which included a $75 discount that came with a $53 monthly payment for each quarterly visit. That comes to over $700 a year ( not including termite issue) for the basic service which does not apply to fire ants. Since I accepted the discounted initial service I had to sign up for a years worth of service before I had the option to cancel. That's something you need to keep in mind because that's a lot of money just to snuff out a few ants. The one and done service doesn't really pay the bills, it's the subscription service that drives the business. My same day appointment was scheduled between noon and three, they ( tech +trainee) showed up shortly after two. I let the tech know about the ant issue and we walked around the perimeter of the property while he swept away wasp nests. Inside he sprayed some powder in the upstairs attic while looking for any possible rodent infestation. The tech did spot some termite activity at the corner of the garage. After spraying the perimeter and infected areas with poison, he then treated the yard with ant bait that looked like Andro. We decided against spraying chemicals indoors due to sensitivities. The discovery of termites greatly added to the bill as pictured below. I'll go ahead and get the termite service and the quarterly check up during the contract period. I thought I would include all the bills and pertinent information so that you can get some idea of what you might experience. One thing that did catch me off guard was that after they left, I received a brief survey which then led me to a tip screen for the tech. It's not that he didn't deserve a tip, it was just the first time I had seen this form of online solicitation. Overall great experience with knowledgeable and friendly techs, not real happy about being funneled into a monthly payment plan for quarterly visits, but we'll see where that leads. Check out the photos. Possible updates may follow.....perhaps leading to a 5th star.
