It is hard to find the words to explain how AMAZING the work is that this company and Mary produces. I had the pleasure of having It's Your Day Event Planners make my New Year's Eve Wedding day come to life. The professionalism and devotion was exquisite. From the first time my husband and I met with her until it was all said and done, Mary completely devoted her self to our wedding dream and ensured that there was nothing that she would not do to make that happen. Not only did she do the planning, coordination and decorating she also did our complete custom catering with a spectacular menu. To finish things off we also included her DELICIOUS cake balls to round out our candy buffet table. My husband and I actually used the cake balls to feed each other to capture our cake cutting pictures which of course turned out amazing! Was the perfect little bite and oh so yummy! No mess and did not want to waste a bite of them! All of my guest and family were blown away by how BEAUTIFUL Mary and her staff had made the venue and the food. My guest are still talking about how great the food was at the wedding and how it was the best wedding they had ever been to!! From the handmade custom lighting to the gorgeous candy buffet there was no one detail over looked. I know that this would not have happened with out the assistance of this fine company. Mary had great knowledge of the business and many contacts to refer you to ensure you get the best deal. Mary handled all of the vendors with great professionalism even when the stress got high. I am very thankful because stress was not even a word or emotion uttered from me on my special day! I was able to sit back and totally enjoy every aspect of our wedding without any worries. That is exactly what a BRIDE should feel like on her day and without It's Your Day Planners it would not have been achieved. It was by far the BEST money that we spent for our wedding!!! I am writing as the mother of the bride. I knew Mary as a chef and saw firsthand her dedication to that profession so I had no second thoughts hiring her to coordinate the most important day of my daughter's life. I have to say, not only did Mary live up to our expectations, she exceedingly surpassed them. Mary's rates are super competitive and we got the better end of the deal with her. My daughter handled all of the vendor transactions so I cannot say with certainty the exact amount saved due to Mary's preferred vendor list but I do know the savings were substantial. The day of the wedding is where I was most impressed. I never checked on one detail. I never stepped foot into the venue until show time. When I did arrive everything was in place and ready to go. During the reception Mary took care of not only business details but also my daughter and myself and so many other attendees. I never had an empty wine glass. I never had to search for a tissue. I must say I use" Its Your Day Event Planners" before it even had a name!! That was over 9 years ago when Mary Bass was just getting started. Not knowing then, that 10 years down the road we would also use her for another one of my daughters wedding this pass Sept. 2014. She was as great the first time as she was in Sept. She does an incredible job down to the very last detail. She can turn a plain room into absolutely the most beautiful and elegant place to have a wedding without a doubt . Her resources are endless, and very affordable and for some reason you may not find the one you like the first time, she is there on the spot to find the one that suits you best. Have a question or a concern, shoot her a text and she is johnny on the spot. She will not just work with you or for you, but she becomes a part of the wedding as if she was planning her own. My mom hired Mary for "day of coordination" and I have to say how thankful I am that she was there for me whenever I needed her all the times before. Our wedding was beautiful and seamless thanks to Mary. She is the ultimate multitasker and a one of a kind.She even was the guest star of my bridal shower where she performed a marvelous cooking class for me and my girlfriends. A moment that stands out for me- Three months before our date, my caterers decided to nearly double the quoted price for our 150 guests. When i tried to reason with them to make a more budget friendly menu, they accused me of sacrificing so much that my wedding would become distasteful.I nearly lost it, but Mary called me immediately and said "Don't worry. We will fix this." she found another caterer that was free for my date and could provide more than the original menu for less than the initial quoted price. It was one of the best changes we could have made and we got rave reviews about the food. Couldn't have done it without Mary- emotionally or financially. She is a miracle :) read more

I had a wedding in Austin last weekend that Mary at It's Your Day coordinated. Not only did she have complete responsibility for the day, but she also helped me with pre-planning like reaching out to vendors before hand, and creating my itinerary. I was a pretty organized bride, but as the day came closer, I realized I needed help. I was referred to Mary, talked to her about the process and what she could help with and instantly I felt better. Not only did she go over all of the details that were important to me, and kept brief the ones that were less important to me, she continuously kept me updated on progress which also made me feel way better. My wedding and reception were absolutely magical and it would NOT have been possible without Mary Bass!! She is amazing. With a logistically complicated wedding (~250 guests, two venues, outdoors, couldnt-set-up-until-5pm, caterer, dj, photobooth, bartenders, two photographers, three videographers-- yikes!), it could have been a disaster. But Mary herded all the cats that day and my family and I were carefree. At the planning stage, Mary was extremely organized, recommended excellent vendors, and was very prompt in responding to all my questions. At the reception she made sure everything happened on time, everyone got paid, and everything got packed and sent home at the end of the night. All I had to do was have fun. Mary is an absolute jewel. We tried to plan our wedding ourselves, and were having a very hard time finding resources within our budget that we felt would be nice. I thought of using a wedding planner, but was afraid it would be too costly. I went out on a limb anyway, and made the call to Mary Bass, who came highly recommended. She was a GOD-SEND!! Her fee was extremely reasonable, and she saved us an incredible amount and time and money on our vendors by utilizing her relationships. She spent as much time with us as we needed and was very accessible by email, phone and in person. Our wedding was perfect and everyone (especially us) had a great time. I had the opportunity to work with Mary and "It's Your Day Event Planners" at a wedding last year at the beautiful San Luis Resort in Galveston. Mary was amazing! She kept everyone calm and organized. Even the radiant bride was calm and collected. The ceremony ran slightly behind schedule (through no fault of her own), but I, the minister, was kept informed as the day progressed. Mary also has a keen eye and every little detail was perfectly in place and ready to go. Everything was absolutely stunning! Mary was SUCH a blessing to have at Andrea's wedding. I was the photographer for the day. Mary prepped me with moment-to-moment lists of what would happen at the wedding. She knew everyone by name at the event and because I was somewhat under the weather, helped me call everyone together for family/wedding party photos. She kept me up-to-date throughout the night and made sure that I was always where I needed to be. Weddings, at least from a photographers perspective, can get very stressful and very behind schedule... but NOT when you have Mary to coordinate and orchestrate. She was fantastic! read more

I have ordered cakeballs from Mary twice. The first time I got a bunch of different flavors for my co-workers to sample, they ate them up so fast! The second time was for my friends party. Mary not only made awesome cakeballs but she bought boxes with ribbon that matched the party theme. Everyone enjoyed them and were able to take home goodie boxes :) I look forward to trying all her flavors and waiting to see what new flavors she come up with. P.S.
