The atmosphere is so fun. The food is delicious! Really enjoyed our time. The service was good and attentive. Can't wait to go back again!

This was my second time coming. This restaurant is undeniably beautiful inside. You can tell a lot of detail went into every spot in this place, even in the bathrooms. The bar is beautiful as well. It's nice Wichita finally got a Tapas spot. The food here is hit or miss each time. That's why I gave 4 stars not 5. Their chips and dips are amazing. Their street tacos each time were too try and mushy rice. Their other items like ceviche and calamari were great each time. So there are some items that over shine others. The star of the show here is their drinks. I can drink so many of their house margaritas. They are the best I've had in Wichita. Their happy hour is 2 dollars off cocktails, open to 6pm. Me and my girlfriends came here for some Tapas and drinks around 230pm and it was a great time. It wasn't busy and it was nice and peaceful and we had amazing drinks and service. read more

My sister and I dined at the bar. The atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing. This isn't my first time eating at iTzcali and probably won't be my last. The customer service has always been good. Drinks: I had the Sugar Skull and my sister had the Old Fashioned. The Sugar Skull is pretty good. Didn't taste watered down or like it had straight juice. The Old Fashioned was different than the usual recipe, due to the maple but it was cool. I love an Old Fashioned but I can't stay I'd order this one. Food: I had the nachos minus the chorizo and my sister had the shrimp chimichanga. The nachos are delicious. The steak is well seasoned and the dish overall is just chefs kiss. My sister enjoyed the shrimp chimichanga. It was a huge portion. She also ordered the elote (not pictured) it was good. read more

Really nice place. The food was good. They had a tequila tasting the night we were there. So the service and bar service were pretty slow. They have an additional beautiful bar in the back room where they sat us. It was fully stocked, but no one worked it. Someone would pop in once and awhile. Basically, they were short staffed. We spent some time reviewing the iTzcali web site to make our selections from the variety on the menu. When we got there we were handed menus that were not at all what was on the web site. All the items we were interested in ordering were no longer offered. All of them. When we asked the server what was up, she said that they changed the menu last week. Dubious, at best, as the menus had seen a lot of use and abuse. We left, because if you won't maintain your web site it's more than likely you'll have other problems. This place was outstanding and was shocked that Wichita had this style food! I was in town on a business trip and this place was recommended by a local bar tender. I am from southern California and this place and mixed drinks was on par with bars and restaurants in San Diego. It is absolutely Mexican fusion style food! First looking at the prices, they were a bit high, but the food is so good it was worth and there was A LOT of food. We went home with a lot of leftovers. We had a waitress who had only been working for 2 weeks, but the service was excellent. Food came out super quick, waters were never empty, and was very positive overall. This restaurant is beautiful, inside and out! Great bar, indoor and outdoor dining areas! We went 2 days in a row. We sat at the bar yesterday and today we opted for a booth. Now the food for both days - We the wings for appetizer last night. They were brined and had a nice kick. Chris loved them. I had the Picanha. I didn't realize it would be in a skewer but it was very tender and paired well with the chimichurri sauce. Chris had the Scottish Salmon Al Pastor. The portion was huge and it was cooked perfectly! Today for lunch, we shared the Tuna Tartare, Birria and Al Pastor Street Tacos. They were all excellent. Chris drank the rest of the consommé. Lol. Yes, it was that good! I don't normally write a bad review, but I write this in the hope it will be read and used to better this establishment. I have been looking forward to trying out this restaurant for a while, but I was severely disappointed by my first visit. When I walked in, I was greeted by no one and had to find a staff member if I was to seat myself or wait to be seated. I then waited 15 minutes for someone to come and offer me water. When I asked if I could order a margarita, they mumbled back to me and walked away. It was the strangest thing! Another 10 minutes passed before the bartender came to take my friend and I's drink order. The waitress eventually made it over to our table to take our food order. I would have been more understanding if they had an evening rush, but the restaurant was less than half full. When I asked about what tacos were available for their Taco Tuesday deal, the waitress said she would have to speak to her manager and walked away. Was this a situation that merited her needing to talk to the manager? I double-checked their Instagram page to see that the deal was pinned to the top of their page. It found it extremely strange that the waitress had no idea of a Taco Tuesday deal and had to verify with her manager. I also realized she had never made eye contact at that point, spoke very quietly, and didn't even welcome my friend and me to the restaurant. It was odd. The night continued with little to no service from our waitress and constant mistakes made in our order. When addressing the waitress about the mistakes, she got visibly upset and proceeded to ignore my friend while she was talking. The fact that she had tuned out at that point became evident when she failed to remake my friend's order correctly. Again. Then argued that she had. At that point, I wish I had brought cash so I could have left it on the table and escaped what had become the most stressful restaurant experience of my life. However, the order mistakes and terrible service only continued, with having to go to the bar to ask about a drink that had never been brought, and then being charged for a $13 cocktail I never ordered in place of a margarita. I still attempted to be understanding with the waitress, who was obviously distressed. Perhaps it was an off night for her? Perhaps she was new? Overall, I have to say I was severely disappointed with her lack of people skills and customer service. It felt like this poor girl was obviously in the wrong profession and had no empathy for her customers. The only positive comments I can give is that the interior design was beautiful and the margarita was delicious. read more

I was excited to try this place out as I've seen beautiful pictures of the food and scenery but was a bit disappointed by the service. We were sat immediately when we arrived with a party of 3 with no reservation on a Saturday night. We got there around 8:30pm and they close at 11. We waited around 20 minutes for our waiter to greet us with water. We knew what we wanted already as we had plenty of time to look at the menu. I got the calamari and it was pretty good as it was a large portion and fried well. The Paloma drink was not my favorite as the mezcal flavor took over and I was expecting something more sweet. Their cilantro and lime rice was fairly dry and so were their tortillas. It was definitely not as authentic as I thought it would be in terms of foods. It was fairly busy and we knew the waiters were busy but I felt like we were waiting for a very long time for our checks too. Two of my friends ended up leaving their credit cards accidentally and we had to drive back 10 minutes after they closed. They were just not happy that we slightly inconvenienced them and had to ask 3 people to get their attention to get the cards.
