After they repaired my sprinkler system, I mentioned that I have fence gate that would jam because it was not properly installed. Ignacio grabbed his power tools from his truck and repaired my fence gate, at no additional cost. I would stay away from this company. They sort of fixed our sprinkler problem (except now our water pressure seems to be affected!) but the way they handled themselves with regards to pricing was unprofessional and deceitful, and when my fiancé tried to discuss my concerns they just got rude. The price he was told over the phone didn't match what was listed in the final invoice, and they claimed he was wrong. OK, fine, maybe it was a bad connection and he didn't hear right. Their pricing scheme didn't make any sense. They charge a large upfront fee just based on the sprinkler zones you have. My understanding was that this would include some initial labor (like other companies I had talked to), but it didn't include anything besides briefly looking at the sprinklers run. If you want to charge a fee just to come to the property then make it clear that's what it is. We asked for a quote on some other yard work and their prices were 2-3x higher than any other company in the area. It just seemed unreasonably high! Then clearing and adjusting any of the sprinklers costs extra. Why this wasn't included in the initial sprinkler fee is beyond me. Then they quote you one price per sprinkler head repair and say if you don't do it now then next time it will cost more for each sprinkler. Why does the repair price change per sprinkler head based on when they're doing it? Don't they already have a large service fee for coming out? They should charge the same fee per work done if they're charging a fee to come out. Finally, the prices they wanted to charge for doing the same exact fix on different parts of the system was different and they insulted me when we pointed it out. I'm surprised to see all of the other positive reviews for this company. They were unclear about the pricing before the visit, were even less clear about pricing during the visit (not mentioning some of the charges as they were working and charging inconsistent amounts for other work), and then were rude at the end when we confronted them about these issues. read more

When we were ready to fix up our backyard in Beaverton, I called a few of the "bigger places" and they told me they'd be out next week. Some never even got back to me! Kept calling until Ignacio at IV Landscaping said he would be over that evening! We talked about our plans; nothing too complicated, new sod and paver patio, add a gazebo, resurrect the irrigation system, add some plants. And we decided to add a sitting wall and fire pit. that was the best part. As we added/changed things he was flexible and patient. He was also eager to get started and that was important to us. Once he got his crew over there they were constantly working until it was all done. In fact it was all done so fast that I was kinda sorry to see him go. My wife and I had IV landscape come out and transform our side and back yards into something we couldn't possibly do ourselves. After speaking with Ignacio, we decided to go ahead have the company put in grass on our side yard and back. Complete with irrigation and a drip system for our garden. We told him that we were gonna be gone for a week and would like it to be complete by the the time we got home. He fulfilled our request and when we came home it was exactly how he described it. when we were gone on vacation the weather turned south and rained the whole time they were working, I commend them for doing a great job amongst the adverse weather. He mentioned that he would come out in the spring and install the timer for the irritation! Which he did today! And he even waived the fee, for activation, however I thought that was in the contract, either way it was nice of him to do!! Overall I thought they did a great job and would hire him again for future projects around the house! Great company, great work, however he is a busy guy so I felt like I had to keep getting ahold of him, not like it was a bad thing but I'm sure spring and summer are busy times for the company, but for some reason I felt bad that I texted him or called him multiple times, to figure out when he was coming out, but when he came out on a Saturday I thought that was nice of him to come out on a day off to do that and to also waive a fee...bonus! Ignacio was very responsive to my requests and input. He and his crew put in a Rainbird sprinkler system with a drip system for the shrubs, etc. as well as a rain sensor to conserve water. They leveled out the ground, put down sod, and planted an arbor vitae border, three Japanese maples, and some nice shrubs. Ignacio even incorporated some of my potted plants in the design, and finished the whole thing up with bark dust. Now, instead of an ugly dirt pit, we have a beautiful, functional backyard with a one year warrantee on the plants and sprinkler system! It's nice to know that if any of the plants die (some of the plants/trees we chose are expensive) Ignacio will take care of it. Overall the project was less expensive than other contractors suggested it would be. We live in the Bethany area, and they showed up every day on time and had the project complete when Ignacio said they would. It's been less than a month, and the plants and grass are growing like crazy. I see the value in the nice soil they laid down before planting anything. read more
