Dave, the owner, is great to work with. He is a good listener, conscientious, and has a good eye for design and working with what we have. On the maintenance side, Geronimo is kind and responsive. Their teams are careful and they do their best to leave everything looking great when they are done. In fact, after our recent landscaping, they weeded an area we hadn't asked them to do, which made their new landscaping look even better. It was a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. They seem to work as a great team and have fun together. Their costs are competitive and lead times are reasonable, even during busy seasons. We'll definitely use them again.

June 9, 2026 Over the past six years we've utilized Preferred Landscape Services (PLS) for…read moremultiple projects and have always been pleased with the final product. They installed our beautiful paver patio with a french drain 5 yrs and did an awesome job!! We had no hesitation when scheduling PLS to power wash the patio and replace the polymeric sand. I asked Dave what the power washers PSI was, he indicated it would be a 3,500 PSI. We'd always used a battery operated 450 PSI power washer so I researched the appropriate PSI for washing pavers. Everything I read recommended a 1,000 to 1,500 PSI which caused concern. Given PLS installed the patio and our comfort with their services we trusted PLS and dismissed our concerns. A 4,200 PLS power was used to power washed the patio which severely damaged the edge of multiple pavers. Dave offered to look at the results. His response was "they did exactly what they were suppose to, to clean out all old sand. When he asked "what resolution would satisfy us"? My response was, I wish I would've selected someone else to complete the work. Short of that I wanted PSI to replace the pavers. Dave's response was, "they don't make that color any more". I'd file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau however PLS isn't accredited with the BBB. I also couldn't find PLS on the OR Landscape Contractor Board. We definitely won't be utilizing PLS in the future.

Within a few weeks we had a reasonable quote, and what I liked the most was that Donald really took our situation into account (we had some existing material we were recycling). Then Emiliano and Juan came to start the work I knew right away they would knock it out of the park because they looked at the renderings and immediately offered options and discussed all the details. We had our back fence fixed, bark dust installed along the back, and trees put in for future shade in our yard. The owner kept checking in with us and making sure we were happy, which I think is great follow through.

We had Aspen Creek design and install a specialized equestrian irrigation system. The system was…read moresupposed to be protected from freezing but the lines were not pitched properly so several lines did not drain back out as designed. Obviously the water froze and broke several lines. After several phone calls and promises to come out with an irrigation service person, no one ever showed up or called back. Since there was no stated "warranty" on the work, I have no recourse but to hire someone else to fix this. As I've unfortunately read too late in many of these other reviews, this seems to be common.

We hired Aspen Creek for a full landscaping revision. We asked for hardscaping ideas and they had nothing to offer. Our Rainbird irrigation system leaves bone dry patches and flooded areas so plants die. Aspen Creek replanted the same plants only to die again. We have waited a year for the final design plan and plant list that has never come despite continued promises. Our sod is dying because the soil grade isn't correct. If you want good customer service, timely follow and clear communication, consider other landscaping companies. For what we paid, I would expect far better treatment. We have reached out many, many times, even trying to reach this business owner.

We needed to replace a rotting railroad tie retaining wall, along with a shared fence and gate. Our…read moreneighbor also needed part of their front yard fence replaced. Artistic Landscapes was fantastic to work with. When Robert came out to provide the bid, he explained everything in detail, and we were kept informed throughout the process. They even started the job early. Jeve and his crew did a fantastic job removing the old wall and fencing, building the new block retaining wall, and setting new fence posts. The original retaining wall ran right up to the property line with the fence attached to it. We wanted the new fence to follow the property line, so the new wall was set slightly back from the property line with enough room that we can easily take care of any weeds that may grow between the fence and wall. Bonafacio and his crew built a beautiful new fence and gate. He also installed our gate so it would open wider than the old one. Both crews kept the work site extremely clean and they were very work-from-home friendly with the only noise heard was them working. Robert came after the job was done to do a final inspection of both the work and job site cleanup. He also gave us information on how to care for the new fence and retaining wall. I would not hesitate to use Artistic Landscapes again.

Crew always showed up when expected and cleaned up at the end of the day. Showed up in all kinds of weather as our timeline changed into Fall/Winter 2025/2026. Changes were needed and change orders were always clear and presented that same day for us to sign. Costs on bid and invoices were clear. Solid communication from all members of the team. The final punch list was dealt with quickly. The team was creative as we needed to solve some issues with drainage and access. Had them add sod at the end and that project was done quickly too. They worked in variable weather (rain and sun), were on-time both days, kept us informed throughout the project, worked around our existing outdoor furniture, ensured our existing sprinkler system stayed intact, and cleaned up after they were done. We recently expanded a deck, added a patio cover, and are putting a hot tub underneath this second…read morefloor deck. There was a concrete patio below the existing deck and we wanted to match that, w/ reinforcement for a hot tub. We got a couple bids for the job. Danny was the estimator that came out for Forest and he seemed knowledgeable and was punctual and professional. It was not the cheapest bid ($6600 for a 13'X16' 4" concrete patio w/ hot tub reinforcement), but the company is much more well established than a couple others we consulted so I put more trust in their work. Rigo is the guy we needed to work with on scheduling etc. for concrete work. This was a little rocky at first, but that had a lot to do with us needing to postpone the start till our deck was done, but then also work around a vacation we'd be taking, and make sure the concrete had enough time to cure before our hot tub is dropped. Despite a slight language barrier, we worked it out and even managed to get it done ahead of when we originally scheduled it. Punctuality is impressive with these guys. For 3 days they were waiting outside our house to start at 7:30am precisely. They had to remove a portion of fence and work around some foliage for access. They ended up encountering an unexpected drainage tube of some kind while digging and made sure to create an access point for us if it's ever needed in the future. The concrete looks great and matches our old patio so well, it's hard to tell they weren't poured together. Danny and I (and later Rigo) discussed treating the old concrete to help the matching. At the end of the work they did a great job of cleaning up the area and returning everything to normal. Rigo also helped us by showing us how to remove the fence portion for when our hot tub is delivered and left the top cap off because he said we'd really struggle to get it off if they put it back. I'm happy with the work, communication, and cleanup and trust if there are any problems I will be able to get them resolved. If we have further landscape needs in the future I will def be calling Forest for a bid.

We are currently working on a greenhouse project in our backyard and needed gas, electric, and…read morewater installed. It required multiple subcontractors to complete the job, but Forest Landscape made sure everything went smoothly and that the project was kept on track. The guys who came to do the excavation for the trench did an amazing job and we were so impressed and grateful that they even worked through all the rain and cold weather. It was so muddy yet they still managed to get the job done. When it was time for inspections, they were all approved which is definitely a positive thing. The project manager and crew worked hard, did excellent work, and were communicative whenever I had questions or specific requests. We think that this wall will last a long time, and we've already received quite a few compliments from people in the neighborhood. The one area of improvement I would suggest: there were a couple times between when they first scoped out the project until it actually started (about a month) when there were delays in communication and I wasn't sure what was happening, if my email was received, etc. It wasn't a huge deal and they made up for it in spades, but just something to note.
