The Pizza My Heart location is now IV Pizza Pub without the surfing theme. It's clean with a fresh look. The staff is friendly with great service! It is one of the three pizzerias, that I know of, in the Goleta-Santa Barbara area that has the right oven, ingredients, recipe and hand-tossing for the closest to an actual, great NY pizza-- thin-crusted and tasty! How's that for a run-on sentence? The only discernible difference to this pizza snob, is that in NY, dried oregano flakes are usually under the cheese with the sauce. A few upstarts on Long Island, NY use basil flakes instead (not to my taste). For those of you who prefer variations from the simplicity of plain cheese or pepperoni, IV Pizza Pub has generous portions of many varied toppings in generous portions. They also have breadsticks, wings, cheese bread, Vegetarian and Vegan specialty pies as well as Fresh Salads. They have thirst quenching soft drinks and, as the name implies, alcoholic beverages. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays. Check their website for more details on times offered and menu items. Thank goodness the delivery option is available, as IV has a congested parking situation. When is the IV Council going to recognize that the parking limits near businesses need to be extended into the later hours for businesses that are open to the public after the current posted times? read more

My local pizza joint. The kids that work here are so awesome. They all work super hard and always seem to be in a great mood. They play cool music, good sports and the pizza is by far the best I've had in all Santa Barbara. The ranch is free and it's so good! Not but but love for this place and the crew! read more

I ordered delivery with Grub Hub from them, and it came hot and fresh. It was super oily, however, like oil was added on top after cooking. The toppings were good, but the crust was chewier than I'd like. They were sweet and wrote my name on the box with a smile. They didn't have anything to do with the choice of driver, but he was nice, too. It sustained us after a very stressful day. read more

I've been living in IV since 1987 & have seen pizza places come & go, but the saddest departure was Pizza My Heart. Great NY style pizza, even accommodates vegan diet by using gourmet Miyoko's vegan cheese. By the way, I'm not vegan, my better 1/2 is, but I enjoyed their vegan pizzas. When PMH left we were bummed, but then we heard IV Pizza & Pub was going to open using the same recipes & ingredients. Once IV Pizza & Pub opened w/ the same PMH staff, we were THRILLED to support it & continue to do so! Mario & Rico are STILL the master pizza chefs & the recipes & ingredients, still the same as when it was PMH. Always a great place for pizza & beer & now they got cider from the Santa Barbara Cider Company (actually based in Goleta), another awesome local business. Good to see the locals helping each other! The owners Doron & Didi (of Bagel Cafe fame), they're very thrilled to bring this eatery to life in IV & are very proactive in addressing customer questions or concerns. As a long time IV local, it's good to see crowds coming in to enjoy what IV Pizza & Pub has to offer & the best this is seeing the way the staff interacts w/ the customers, us included. I've heard there's some mention about beer prices, but honestly, their prices are actually not bad & you have to consider that they do serve 23oz. beers. The big question is why there's no pitchers & the reason for that has to do w/ Alcohol Bureau of Control mandates imposed upon the eatery, same mandates PMH had to deal w/. The ABC mandates are the limiting factor, even on the pricing or promotion of beer. I have to add, they finally got the tables & chairs for outside seating &... THEY HAVE HEATERS! Given the cold weather we've been having, those heaters are a must! In all, I have nothing but good things to say about IV Pizza & Pub. They came through in the pizza game at a a time when IV needed real pizza. We were loyal PMH customers back then, we're loyal IV Pizza & Pub customers now. Thank you to Doron & Didi for bringing this place to life & Kudos to Juan & the staff for making sure the place runs smooth as possible, even on a rush like last Saturday. The line was out the door, but all got served & in as timely a manner as possible. It was great to see the crew there step up in a way that can only be described as professional. A few months ago I wasn't sure about this place. The manager at IV Bagel Cafe (which I love and frequently go to with my wife), let me know about the changes over here and recommended we try it again! I am so glad we did! I'm not sure what they did but the pizza is still good and the customer service is above and beyond. I hadn't tried the pesto ranch before and it is a game-changer! You have to try the Virgin Creek and my wife loves their Cider on tap. If anyone is looking for ACTUAL good pizza in Goleta/IV this is the spot! They've really taken the initiative to listen to customers and made this place a new favorite for my family. Great place to stop and eat for college students and the community alike (can't wait for football season/see what they do for game day). read more

This place blows. It's not even open for lunch. It's overpriced. Definitely meant for an upscale downtown LA crowd. Not a small local college town. Used to be a great spot with good deals. So this cute little eatery has just opened up underneath my apartment building. Not only is it convenient but it's really damn tasty and it's a pub, great vibes, decent food and I'm really lucky to have it so close to home highly recommend it to anyone in the area if they're looking to have some wholesome food be at the pizza or a few drinks because this is also a pub and they do serve beer, the customer service is super nice, and everybody is upbeat and kind helpful when they need to be its a great little restaurant.. overall standing ovation even though it's just opened I have a good feeling. This place is going to be here for years to come. I'm not sure where they moved from but this may be in a restaurant that's been around for some time in the area all I know is they just moved into the building underneath my apartments and I felt they deserved a review. I must say this pizza is delicious. Especially when it's hot and fresh, but even after microwaving it it's still pretty tasty...unlike Domino's and a few other well known places. I live locally and the organization that provides my living arrangement orders from here nearly every weekend....like large orders, at least 8 pizzas. And as delicious as the pizza is, sometimes I wonder what's going on at this restaurant. Like tonight for example- there was supposed to be some pepperoni pizzas, pepperoni and bacon, pepperoni and sausage, 2 cheese pizzas, and a Hawaiian....there was no Hawaiian and only one cheese. About a month ago the order was 2-3 hours late. And when it arrived one of the pepperoni pizzas was folded over. I understand large orders are a pain for the employees, I've worked in food service over 15 years, I've dealt with my fair share of super chaotic orders. But I can't help but feel like when this order is being made and delivered I feel like the care and concern for this order almost goes out the window. I hate to feel this way and I hate to sound ungrateful or like I am being less than understanding...but good money is being paid for goods and service. Honestly, my favorite to-go place for a beer and pizza. Not only is the pizza absolutely delicious regardless of the slice (although I prefer combination, which from here is one of the best I've ever had), but their customer service is amazing. In if you ever have the chance to come when the manager, Rico, is working you're in for the best experience. Not only is he extremely charismatic, and aware, but is always makes sure the customers are enjoying their time here. While I come back constantly for the beer and pizza, Rico as well as the other workers are a primary reason as well. Whether I come to get a beer and do school work or just for a beer and hang out with friends I know I'll always have great food as well as great customer service. read more
