BBQ Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza Special Garlic Breadsticks

Persona Pizza is one of my favorite places to go today as I'm typing this I met the famous TikTok creator ThePizzaKing! He was awesome to meet and such a nice guy! Also on the other news the pizza was delicious I had also their garlic bread 10/10! I'm definitely coming back again! It wasn't that crowded for being a famous pizza joint would I come back! Yeah I'd definitely come return! The general ambiance was a great place must visit while in Santa Barbara for sure!

DIY PIZZA- $10 Get the Alfredo and pesto sauce base!

Food: 5/5 Location: 5/5 Inside: currently closed! This pizza is helping me through the end of 2020 Pizza was really good, especially for $10 to make your own! Definitely recommend the "Alfredo" and "pesto" base sauce. They are pretty generous with the toppings. I also got the burrata salad, which was really simple but really delicious Location is awesome, right on State Street, and has free 75 min parking right around the back. Can't wait to see the outdoor street seating open. Currently the inside is closed off, so you have to order either at the door, call, or online

Bad, bad bad. Pizza was burned on the bottom. Taste like pure carbon. Paid for extra basil, got nothing. Soggy on the bottom and sauce was tomato paste at best. It's a sat night too. Very very disappointed Tried to give it to my dog and it had to lick its ass to get the taste out of his mouth:0

Of all the pizzerias on State Street, I chose to check out Persona.. I wish I went somewhere else though. My friends were hungry and didn't want to walk too far, oh well. The restaurant is next to Forever 21. There's plenty of street parking around the area, usually for 75 minutes only (parking tickets are serious, I hear). It was not busy even though it was dinner time. The servers seemed like they were standing around, joking with one another, trying to pass the time. There was a lot of room to sit inside and tables were pretty clean. The pizzas at Persona are like the ones at Pieology. You get a thin crust and add your own toppings. However, the difference is Persona charges $1.25 per topping and Pieology charges nothing per topping. Good thing I just wanted the margherita pizza because I wanted fresh mozzarella cheese. If I were hungrier, I'd be paying for a $20 pizza for all the additional toppings.. The pizza was very underwhelming. The mozzarella was just eh, and they could have added more basil or marinara. Maybe I'll have to try their specialty pizzas ($11) that they have designed already. Overall nothing was impressive here. They have flat screen menus above the assembly line of ingredients. The pizzas are oven-fired, which is nice. I'll give them two stars.

The Bianca pizza has Olive oil, fresh mozzarella, garlic, oregano, and Sea Salt

First let me start by saying this place has to be the fastest pizza joint in town!! No joke! I ordered two pizzas to go and by the time I paid, sat down and tried yes i say "tried" lol to surf Facebook to pass the time; cuz after-all thats what you see everyone doing when waiting right? Well my number was called in under 10 minutes! I was very surprised at how fast the service was but very pleased. For $6.95 you get a 12 inch. Pizza made to order! What a deal right? I ordered the Bianca pizza which is a white pizza, no marinara. It is made with Olive Oil, Fresh Mozzarella, Garlic, Oregano, and Sea Salt. This pizza was right up my alley. The amount of ingredients was perfect and I especially love the crust. It's thin and crusty. The second pizza I ordered was the classic Margherita. I ordered pepperoni as an extra topping. This pizza was also perfectly made. I will definitely be paying this place a visit again!

I thought I would never try Persona because of the assumption that it's just another tourist joint that couldn't last very long on State str. Gave it a try one day while running errands and shopping on the strip and it actually was not bad at all. I had veggie pizza. It tasted good, not wow. I'm stocked on the fact that they make the pizza fresh in front of you. The price is affordable, cheaper than Rusty. You're supposed to order from the pizza dough maker guy then go pay at the cashier. I was a little confused while ordering because there was no instruction or staff member to direct me where to put on order. I know it's not scientific experience but a little instruction would be nice. The staff is friendly. You get 10% off on pizza order when checking in on yelp

    margherita with sausage
    Lily Z.

You know the saying, fast, good, and cheap, pick two. In Persona, you can have all three and all you have to pick are the toppings. It is not certified authentic Neapolitan pizza, but in this pizza deprived city, I am not hesitant to say that Persona is the best pizzeria in SB right now. What pushes this place to a 5 star is the gelato, which is sourced from My Vienna in Beverley Hills and better than any other gelato places in town. The fruit flavored ones are technically called sorbetto. They are intensely fruity and so creamy that it is nothing short of amazing for being dairy free. It is worthy to just go for desserts since the restaurant is relaxing, roomy, and kids friendly.

3.5 stars for this build your own pizza joint (another craze that's popping up everywhere) We were not creative and stuck to the pre-built options on the menu. Crust was not bad fresh but got a bit hard as we ate ---buffalo chicken pizza: very rich and heavy if that's what you're looking for ---margherita pizza: a lighter option, you can never go wrong with this classic they call your number so you can pick up your pizza (we sat at our table thinking they served it to the table) NOTE: 10% off with yelp checkin

    Artichoke tomato and pesto
    Betty C.

The hubby loved the concept and I loved the pricing. It's subway for pizza. You choose your pizza then the toppings and it's all ready for you freshly baked in a wood oven in 5 minutes for under $10. I ordered the pesto pizza with tomatoes and artichokes (next time I will probably add some sort of meat). My hubby ordered the margherita with sausage. The pizzas were ready in about 5 minutes time and there were plenty of places to sit down. We loved that this place was family friendly but also great for couples, friends, etc. They serve beer, wine, and a pretty nifty soda machine that has a gazillion options. Great option for college students or young families, everyone gets exactly what they want. If you are expecting gourmet pizza this is not, but for the price, it's well worth a visit.

You order at the counter and the food is brought over to your table. The service was friendly, though it could have been better--we had to get our own water, cutlery, and napkins and nobody came to check on us throughout the meal. Maybe that was because we came right at opening on the weekend. Food-wise, some dishes were better than others. The smoked brisket banh mi was disappointing, mainly because the brisket was chewy. The burrata-tomato salad with added chicken breast was good and felt fresh and satisfying. The chicken salad sandwich was okay, but the bread was too hard, which made it less enjoyable. On the positive side, my son really enjoyed the kids' grilled cheese sandwich with fries. Overall, The Daisy has a lovely atmosphere, and a great dog-friendly patio, but the food was a bit hit-or-miss during our visit.

Soup of the Day was French Onion, which is on the sweeter side, and comes with cheese and a crostini soaking up the broth. Onions are very nicely caramelized. It was tasty but the portion of this soup was a bit large for the intensity of the soup sweetness, almost like syrup after eating it enough. Any other soup - I'd be fine with the portion size. Partner's review of the BLT: "Plenty of bacon and toasted very nice on sourdough, the sourdough with the soup was balanced. Note that this is a review specifically for a private event (wedding lunch reception)…read more My wife and I recently got married at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and were looking for a restaurant to host a lunch reception and State & Fig absolutely delivered. A 5/5 experience and we would certainly work with them again. We were in contact with Serina for about a year before the wedding and she was very accommodating, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. We initially met with her to discuss our vision, had a food and cake tasting, and also a final walk through with our coordinator to ensure everything was smooth. In terms of food, atmosphere, and service, I would want to go through all three in detail: 1) Food: We had a lunch style buffet and the food options were fresh and many of our guests gave very positive feedback and took shameless second trips. Serina and the owner (Patrick) were able to source many of the ingredients seasonally and cater to our guests' palate (Asian-inspired, etc.). We had a tasting and they took our feedback into consideration in earnest. Moreover, our strawberry cake was AMAZING. 2) Atmosphere: The restaurant had a great layout for our party size (~90 or so) with seating inside, outside, and upstairs. This arrangement allowed us to have an intimate reception despite having a lot of guests. The decor in the restaurant is minimal, which allows customization to make the space truly our own. State & Fig allowed us to borrow a few decorations, which was generous. 3) Service: The two points before were already excellent, but State & Fig's outstanding service took the lunch reception to another level. Serina was a joy to work with in terms of bringing our vision to life and was always there to make things easy for us. Patrick ensured that this was a special day for us, and encouraged us to soak it in and enjoy it as much as we can. And the wait staff and servers on the day of were professional and attentive. For that, we are immensely grateful. There were other restaurants that we toured before selecting S&F, and it was clear that hosting the reception would simply be a transactional business affair. This felt like a genuine desire to make our special day a memorable experience. Overall, a 5/5 experience and we hope that others will be able to have State & Fig host their special day. P.S. A funny aside: we met a couple sitting next to us during our tasting, who were returning to celebrate their anniversary after getting married at S&F. They told us we were in good hands and not to worry, and we AGREE.
