I have been looking for a loose diamond for a few years but have not been really ready to make the decision to buy one. I have been looking at the Ivy and Rose website off and on. I always keep coming back to them. I contacted them a few years ago and the customer service was great, but I was just not ready to make the purchase. I am not a diamond expert, but educated myself as best I could and have been looking at the Ivy and Rose website for the last few weeks, so yesterday I contactd them and spoke with Emily. I explained what I was looking for and provided her with the different sku numbers of the stones I had been looking at. She was very knowledgeable and was pretty quick to talk to me in detail about each stone, pros, cons, etc. Her knowledge of the inventory was impressive. I decided to make a purchase, and I did so yesterday about 3p local time in Chicago. She assured me she could overnight the stone to me, and I would get it today. I received the stone before 12n today. It is really quite nice, and I am pleased with my purchase. When it is time for a setting, I will definitely be reaching back out to talk to Ivy and Rose about design. It is sort of scary to make such a large purchase online, but with a little bit of knowledge about the product and a great resource like Emily, this was easy, and I am very pleased with the purchase. Having worked with them firsthand, I am confident if I needed to return this stone within the prescribed return guidelines, it would not be an issue. I can't say enough good about Ivy and Rose. From looking around, I feel the price was a good value as well. My rings finally came in and wow! I mean that in a great way and in the worst way possible! First of all, I love my art nouveau engagement ring. It is even more beautiful than we imagined! But there were tears of disappointment and disgust with the wedding band. We ordered a custom wedding band. All of our email correspondence with Sara has us requesting a custom wedding band that would fit around the engagement ring and requesting a price for this custom job. She asked for a style that we liked from their current rings and we picked one were we liked the engraving but with the design we described. She picked a price and we paid it. We should have known something was up when we asked to see the ring before it was shipped out and it just "conveniently" had already been packaged up to be shipped out but we were told it was perfect and we would love it. What we received instead was the stock ring we had said we liked the engraving on that was not customized AT ALL. I sent an email but knew I wouldn't get a response so I called the store to find that Sara is magically on vacation but the owner could take my call. He reviewed the emails and basically said he could see what I was requesting but that Sara didn't specifically agree to it. Then why did I receive and pay an invoice?! Now he wants "hundreds of dollars" (his words" - not mine) to do the wedding band I originally ordered and paid for. We will be keeping the engagement ring and going elsewhere for the wedding band. We came here while we were in Chicago to upgrade the center stone of my engagement ring. We had purchased my original center stone from a chain jeweler and it was really low quality. We did not receive as high of a trade-in value for my original diamond as another store offered, but the prices of the loose diamonds at ivy and rose were reasonable, compared to prices at other stores. Sara was so nice and welcoming when we came by to look at some of the GIA certified diamonds from the website. She showed us each one and patiently waited while I looked at them. After we chose a new center stone, I was a little nervous about leaving my ring there to have them set it and ship it to me, but it arrived a couple weeks later without any issues. I had a photograph of an antique ring I wanted recreated. This is when I met Iyla. He assured me there experience and expertise in custom work. He was very knowledgeable and confident that he could do exactly what i was asking. I had never created a custom ring before. Through every step Iyla answered all my questions and made changes I requested to the CAD rendering. I think back and forth.. it was about 20 emails. Each one he was informative, helpful and so kind!! The ring is beyond belief perfect and exactly what we wanted! The diamonds are absolutely amazing. It was packaged in a beautiful box and a beautiful gift bag. The customer service is the best I have ever had when buying jewelery...one more thing I live in Florida! The first time I heard back was 2/24. 3/4 they finally got back to me and booked me for 3/25. 3/25 morning of, they cancelled my appointment and did not offer a reschedule date. When I tried to see if we could just work on a quote via email since it did not seem possible to get an appointment and see existing rings, they got back to me quickly. Once I said my budget, radio silent again. This is supposed to be an exciting time and they made it awful. At first I thought maybe they're not active, but nope they post on social media everyday so i know the jeweler is active. We wasted a month waiting on them, not sure if it was my budget or maybe my last name that caused this treatment but definitely don't need this. read more

I think back to my 2018 experience and still just feel put off about it. My bf and I were in Chicago for work and while there, my bf proposed to me. I had my eye on a ring at Ivy &Rose on insta for awhile and planned to go check it out the day after we officially got engaged. Went in and there was automatically a weird vibe between the man and women. Felt like you could cut the tension (maybe they were having a bad day?). They did not smile, didn't congratulate us, barely spoke or looked at us, seemed like we were bothering them and didn't care we were there to purchase. Although, I loved the ring so we bought it there and they just didn't seem to care, went in the back for awhile, just paid and we left. Very mundane. We left and was kinda put off by that experience. After, we went to another jeweler to get my fiancé a watch and they were so friendly and enthusiastic over the occasion, and had a memorable experience. Now when I think back to getting my engagement ring I just feel weird about it cause of how awkward and non existent they were with us. I was very excited to use Ivy and Rose to help create the perfect engagement ring. My boyfriend took off work, we went in for a meeting and, had a great experience. Unfortunately, after, we were strung along for almost a month with little to no communication. We were told that they were working on it and reaching out to their supplier. We even emailed again to check in, but after another week passed with no communication whatsoever, it became obvious it was not going to happen. I ordered some items for the holidays. First it took forever to get here...Once I opened it up I new this was definitely not the same description I got on the website. The items r cheaply made & don't look anything like the description I saw on the website. I have ordered from them bf & loved what I got. But this time I just wanted a refund. the WORST experince EVER!!!! Ilya was arrogant and put the diamond price to $21,995USD after i showed interest, it was listed at $19,995 USD. i payed deposit mid february and Ilya said to me any day im late settling account after 3 weeks i will be charged interest every day! well, it took THREE months to complete my ring. the diamond is beautiful around $34,000AUD landed in Austraia but the ring is TWO sizes too big and the allow looks like cheap stainless steel. the jewellers in Australia do not want to touch the ring!! HORRIBLE cheap band looks like made in CHINA!!!! the cost of $350AUD to resize in Australia is another cost to me as ILYA will not pay a cent for his mistake. not a single discount of $1 for his continued delays in making the ring. read more

Met Ilya, the owner, at the showroom on Wabash a few months ago.. one of many enjoyable trips I made downtown to finalize the purchase. I was looking for a custom engagement ring for my significant other; something delicate that had a modern feel to it. We started by picking a diamond, had a substantial selection to choose from, and then proceeded to go over the design I envisioned. Thank you Ilya! I bought 2 old European cut diamonds from Ivy and Rose. I had them sent to me to have a local jeweler mount them into drop earring charms to fit my small Jude Francis huggie hoops. When I found out it was going to take a long time to get the parts in and that the price was a bit high, I talked to Ilya. I sent him pictures of similar drops I had made in rose gold, and he told me he could do make what I wanted . So I sent the large diamonds back, bought smaller diamonds to add to the larger ones and he made them into beautiful drop yellow gold earring charms. When I got them, I was stunned how beautiful they were and how big they looked. And the process was very quick--less than a month. I couldn't be happier. He had helped me with a smaller purchase prior to this transaction and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The service was great--I was kept informed periodically about what was going on and he made sure they came to my office safely. And the price of the earrings was very reasonable.
