I chose this office Because their staff assured me that I could get a crown done (with my insurance) For just my $50 copayment. I waited two months with a compromised tooth for the procedure, only to find that the dentist was not going to abide by her contract with my dental insurance. Instead I simply got a simple cleaning, which was the most painful cleaning I have ever had in 62 years. Her bedside manner was poor, and her dental application rough. I will never go here again, and I suggest you look elsewhere as well. read more

Had about 5 appointments within 3 months. The staff is very nice and welcoming so I felt good about finding a new dentist office. Unfortunately, once in procedure, visits were rough and uncomfortable. Wisdom Extraction: Most uncomfortable extraction I've ever had. I was left in an uncomfortable head-first,down-sloped angle for about 10 minutes. Doctor was very rough in my mouth. She did not talk me through the procedure at all. When she gave me numbing shots, she pressed my cheek to probably help spread the numbing that caused me even more pain! When I asked for glasses so the light would not be directly in my eye, I was given transparent glasses that still allowed loads of water and gunk to get into my eyes. At the end of my procedure, the tooth is extracted and the doctor leaves the tooth right on my bottom teeth. Not on the tray, not in a cloth, but on my front bottom teeth! The entire procedure lacked compassion and communication from the doctor. Teeth Cleaning: The high pressure floss was used CARELESSLY. She would go right over my gum and when I made an expression to stop, she still continued! Filling: The doctor quickly gave me the numbing shot without letting my numbing cream set, she again pressed my cheek. OUCH! The assistant and doctor had a dispute while in my mouth saying, "oh no, why did you cure?" I'm assuming a mistake happened and they finished with "It's okay". I'm prettty sure it was not okay. I was left with water all over my face and neck. Two weeks later from my last fillings, I now have sensitivity in the two teeth that were worked on. Service: The staff is all very nice, but what bothered me the most was having to individually tell all 4 of the staff the same story over and over again in each visit. They've all seen me 5 times in the last 3 months. It would be nice if they could just remember what I've told them or note down my oral history. Came here for a cleaning visit and I was told I had 6 cavities that needed to be filled. So we scheduled 3 more visits for the fillings. I went there for the first filling day scheduled and the dentist told me I had to get a cleaning instead of filling. With nothing I could have done, I accepted it. During the cleaning she was very heavy handed and the cleaning was a painful one. My wife suggested that I go to her dentist for a second opinion. I visited another dentist and discovered I had no cavities. read more

I'm a new patient and I've now had 3 appointments and no procedures done. I'm a federal employee and it's hard to take off time and each time I was supposed to have an x-ray or cleaning done I've shown up and they for whatever reason cannot do the procedure. The most unprofessional dental I've ever been to. Form changing appointments to the doctor randomly having emergencies the day of your appointment to giving you appointments 3 months late to the doctor doing partial work on your visit and extends your visits 2 more times before getting the work done. I made an appointment for a cleaning which they scheduled me out for 2 months, on the day of my appointment when I already requested time off they call me 2 hours before saying the hygienist isn't working today and I have to reschedule, they reschedule me for another month and a half out, and that point I'm like y'all joking right cuz ain't no way Imma wait 4 months for an appointment, the front desk staff is so rude, also at one of my filling appointments turns out that the doc "accidentally worked on the wrong tooth" like wtf where did you get the diploma or a business license to run that place, it's so bad all around I can't stand it read more

First time here. I needed a tooth extracted. Of course when I went in to sit on the chair and that's when my nerves started creeping up on me. I've never had this done before. The staff is very nice but it's the Dentist needs to learn about compassion, Chair side manners, be A LOT MORE GENTLE, explain in details and process before and after the extraction and please, please get a personality! The dentist should set an example for her employees. The dentist makes you feel like just another tooth today. She doesn't realize that it's my first time. She has no personality either. She makes you feel like you're on the conveyor belt and move production along. You are just another face. Then on top of that, the dentist gave me some REALLY, REALLY, REALLY SHITTY ASS PAIN MEDS!!! Meds she gave me was just Tylenol with Codine. That is for mild pain which in my case the pain was so, so, so excruciating! The dentist never called me to see how I was doing either. This is a traumatizing experince and a shock to your body. The dentist doesn't really give a SHIT. So if you want to get your ASS KICKED by this dentist then go see her but if you want compassion, empathy, gentleness, chair side manners and explain the whole process, then GO TO ANOTHER DENTIST!! The dental assistants have no clue what they're doing. You will honestly get sprayed in the face, your makeup will come off and your hair will be wet because the assistant is so horrible at that water took. I also had my orthodontist tell me he couldn't put on my braces because it looks like a potential infection in my gum and he didn't want to make it worse and to have my general dentist take a look at it. I made at appointment for 11AM when I walked in at 1050AM I knew I was early but when I finally got called into the room at 11:42AM I was really upset. I was about to walk out but every time I'd ask the receptionist she said you're next. Once I got in the chair and told her what my orthodontist said, she looked at my Xrays and said YES I SAW YOU HAD AN INFECTION BUT YOU NEVER SAID IT BOTHERED YOU SO I DIDNT BRING IT UP. You have to be kidding me. She didn't tell me I had an infection in my gums because I didn't say it was hurting me? ANYWAYS after all of this waiting to just get this crazy answer she said she couldn't do it because I needed to go to a specialist. I went to my orthodontist the next week to update him and he said he was going to call her, the receptionist picked up and said yes she's fine to get braces... and my orthodontist told me I should go to a different dentist because it's obvious I have an infection and putting braces on could make it much worse. Do not go here. The first thing the "Dr." said was I need an implant. I came in for a check up and looking for a cleaning and she just kept pushing implants on me. She was doing the same thing on the guy in the next cubical. If you want a 'dentist' like the congress woman from Minnesota...go there. I've always had good dentists but when I retired I did not have the best insurance. My old dentist was not on my new plan. I chose Ivy Dental Group because it was close to my house. I felt comfortable when I walked in the door. I love the dentist and the staff. This is a smaller office than I'm used to but I actually liked it better. They had the new digital X-ray technology which I didn't expect. The dr did her own deep cleaning. I'd rather have the dr do it than a dental hygienist. I have complete confidence in the dr. I am thrilled that I found this office. read more

I have had nothing but problems with this dentist I do not know how she got her license to become a dentist. She told me that I had a cavity that I could watch and that it would be okay for a while in the meantime it got abscessed instead of pulling the tooth she continued to give me antibiotics I wound up violently sick from the abscess. Had to go in for an extraction took her 30 minutes to even get the tooth out and i wound up sick and in so much pain for a month after the extraction. I thought that was just a fluke so I went in and had a simple bottom partial made with her it took me 5 months to get it and 19 visits to the office. Finally pick up my partial today and you can see it in the front cosmetically it looks horrible and her comment was well at least it doesn't hurt you this visit. So she told me I basically have to settle for something ugly that everybody can see in the front of my mouth.. she said well it doesn't look good but at least it doesn't hurt you after this visit . What a joke so apparently she can't make it comfortable and look good how unprofessional . she refused to fix and said all I want is to get money from her when all I wanted was money for my partial. I didn't want the partial was willing to leave it at her at her office and just be able to take my business elsewhere and get it done somewhere else so that I can actually wear it . I have had no bottom teeth in my mouth for 5 months thanks to this office three people told me they had bad luck with her and I did not listen and still give her the benefit of the doubt. read more

I just came in for my first check of here. I didn't have a bad experience, but I definitely did not have a good experience. After xray pictures the dentist came in and checked to see if I had any cavities, and that was all. She did not check my bite, or my TMJ. When I asked the dentist about the TMJ, because it is painful, she still did not assess it, and said she could not do anything about it. Annoyed by that answer I inquired further, and she said "well I would have to refer you out to someone", like she did not want to or something. The "cleaning" was done after the dentist came in, which I am used to the cleaning being done before the dentist comes in. The "cleaning" took a total of 2 minutes because the dental assistant did not spend time polishing each tooth. She did not floss. And she asked me if I wanted the fluoride put on, like it wasn't part of the regular cleaning. The entire appointment was about 45 minutes, but I only saw either the assistant or the dentist for about 5 minutes of that. At the end they did not give me any toothpaste, tooth brush, or floss. And the assistant said she would see me in a year?! I thought it was every 6 months you are supposed to go in, not once a year. Will not be returning. read more

This place is terrible. They try to up sell you on everything. The patient in front had a cavity and they wanted to charge him $250 for one cavity and he had dental coverage. My son came in for a cleaning and they tried to up sell him to a deep cleaning at a cost of $500. They wouldn't do a regular cleaning and only wanted to do the deep cleaning. After speaking to other dentist and patients that have had this done, a regular cleaning would have been fine and a follow up visit 6 months later would have been recommended. Avoid this place because they will charge you a lot more than you expect. read more
