The technician who initially worked on my nails had to redo them multiple times after the manager pointed out that he wasn't properly filing them after removing my dip polish. Even after several attempts, my nails still looked uneven and poorly done. During the process, he repeatedly bumped into my nails, smudging the polish again--I'm not sure if it was nerves, but it made the situation worse. Eventually, a second technician had to step in and redo all of the work from the beginning. By this point, I had been sitting there for so long that my back was hurting, and I no longer had the patience to go through yet another redo. The final result still looked far from acceptable, especially after multiple attempts. At one point, I was told the polish "wouldn't dry" and was asked to pick a different color, yet after shaking the bottle, they continued using it anyway. Overall, the quality was extremely disappointing. This service is not cheap, and I expect a certain level of professionalism and quality. Despite everything, I still tipped the first technician, but I left feeling embarrassed and upset about how my nails looked. When I returned to request a refund, I was told they could redo the polish again. At that point, I had already sat through multiple attempts and did not want to go through the same experience again. My request for a refund was denied, which made the situation even more disappointing. Overall, this was a very poor experience with both service quality and customer care.

A pedicure, a full set of sculpted acrylics with gel polish, and a Norvell Venetian spray tan (8 hour solution.) Pedicure: We started with the pedicure. She uses a disposable bag so the pedicure is sanitary. She also used a new disposable foot file, which was great! The pedicure is wonderful. She gives and excellent pedicure massage. She helped me pick my polish color and I love it! (Pictured) Manicure: I asked for a full set of acrylics and she did an amazing job creating sculpted acrylics and filed them down like a true artist. They look perfect! I chose "Strawberry Margarita" gel Polish so they will last longer. (Pictured) Spray tan: She took me to the back and explained to get undressed and hang my clothes on the back of the door. Then to put on a shower cap and sticky feet. She also had makeup wipes available. I waited in the tent and she came right in and explained the airbrush method. She did 2 thorough coats using Norvell Venetian 8 hour solution. I just rinsed off and my tan looks wonderful! Stephanie is extremely professional, personable, sweet and the quality of her work is top notch. She doesn't rush and it's a very private and relaxing experience. I highly recommend Onyx studio and I will be back for a fill, a pedicure and an airbrush tan for my next event.

The staff here is very friendly and welcoming. If they don't have time for a walk in they're very accommodating and do their best to get you in as soon as available. As for the services they provided, everything is very high quality. I typically get a no chip pedicure, and an acrylic set. They do an amazing job with whatever design I request. Plus both are very long lasting. The environment is extremely clean and well maintained . Both mani chairs and pedi chairs are very comfortable. This is honestly the best nail salon I've visited! Tracy does acrylic no chip on my nails which always last the two weeks without fail. She has excellent nail skills and works very hard. I get loads of compliments always by men and women. Ping does my pedicure. She is very thorough and gets my toes looking perfect everytime. If your nails grow down into the sides of the beds, she knows how to clean that up so well. They are a nice, friendly team of nail techs that are professional but fun, clean and hygienic. Make an appointment, you are sure to get in instead of walking in (plus I never have waited more than 5 minutes if at all). They are busy for a reason!

I was left wondering how long I was supposed to wait before putting my shoes on. I usually do my own nails but I treat myself from time to time. It wasn't much of a treat. I had a difficult time tolerating the chemical smell that permeated the room but perhaps that is to be expected. The pedi was very basic, little and inconsistent amount of time spent on the exfoliation and "massage" from left to right foot but the nails turned out ok. The salon could benefit from daily upkeep after a good cleaning. It doesn't give you a warm fuzzy feeling. Looks a little worn for the wear. I kind of felt like I needed to wash my hands when I got home. I was also under the impression that the price on Yelp was accurate but I paid $7 more than expected for the service. If I had known the price, I would have gone somewhere else. They didn't honor the price I saw. That caused me to drop another star.

Heads up, they do not do dip powder. But It's actually a good thing because it's not sanitary. You're actually dipping your nails that other people have dipped in. So why risk an infection! I only do acrylic for my birthday and I like having gel on my natural nails. I was able to find a color that I liked right away. Most places I feel forced by the limited color selection. Lisa took her time but wasn't too slow like my last nail tech at another location. She put enough coats so that you couldn't see my nail and cleaned up the edges. My pet peeve is when they don't paint my WHOLE nail. Always exposing the side of my nails! She did a wonderful job! I am so happy. I will be returning again. *Also they prefer cash for tips. P.S don't mind my ashy hands and fingers lol I have a bad habit of picking my skin too :-( It's not from them! Lol
