I was in the area and I needed my nails done last minute. Lisa was able to take me in as a walk in. Because after that, it got so busy! The place is small but comfortable and clean. Heads up, they do not do dip powder. But It's actually a good thing because it's not sanitary. You're actually dipping your nails that other people have dipped in. So why risk an infection! I only do acrylic for my birthday and I like having gel on my natural nails. I was able to find a color that I liked right away. Most places I feel forced by the limited color selection. Lisa took her time but wasn't too slow like my last nail tech at another location. She put enough coats so that you couldn't see my nail and cleaned up the edges. My pet peeve is when they don't paint my WHOLE nail. Always exposing the side of my nails! She did a wonderful job! I am so happy. I will be returning again. *Also they prefer cash for tips. Been getting dip nails for 3 years with my mom. Decided to try a new place closer to my house. My nails lasted about a day until they started chipping and breaking. I came in on February 2nd for an acrylic full set. I showed the nail tech what i wanted to do and she said okay. She was very friendly but there was a show on the tv that was swearing and had nude shots of the actors which i saw and instantly thought it was very unprofessional due to the fact that a child could walk in at any time with their parent. when it came to the length i wanted a medium length and she cut them very short i told her they were too short and she said no its fine it will look longer with the acrylic on. when they were finished the acrylic was very far from the bottom of my nail and they look like legit squares attached to my nails. today is february 8th and my nails look like i need a fill already. read more

If you value your time, don't even waste it by coming here. The owner needs to get it together with organizing how clients are checked in. I was told to come back in 40 minutes, so I did, only to find out that since I wasn't told to put my name on the list that I'd have to wait even longer. I wasn't even greeted when I came in either! I sat down, waited to be acknowledged and since I wasn't I had to stand up and say something. To top it off, I switched from no chip to Dip recently and they don't even do dip. Had Lisa asked me what I wanted to get done when I first walked in, this could have been all avoided. Then I'm given an attitude about it, like it's my fault. I can tell a lot of regulars are close with the workers here. They are extremely friendly. There was a wait to get a pedicure, waited about 25-30 minutes. Soaked my feet for a while. I had the gentleman there that serviced my feet. It was the worse pedicure I've ever had. I asked if he could shaped my toes nails. None where shaped. The massage was terrible. This is a little place in a kind-of-hard-to-reach strip mall on the south side of Algonquin Road. Since I usually get nails done after work, this poses a bit of a logistics issue with the snarling traffic. I took the back roads and found that much more manageable. Staff is very friendly and greet you right away. I did call to make an appointment, just in case, but there was only one other woman in there. That was at 5pm on a Tuesday. It's tidy and no chemical odor, which is great. I only do pedis with the occasional manis. I don't do gels or even no-chip, so I can't comment on those services. Were the tools clean? I don't know. She had them in her basket, so who's to know where they were before or where they were going after. Massage chairs are nice! There's 5 of them. Fantastic nail polish selection! Finally!! I couldn't decide between 5 different shades of orange. Wish they had more Essie, though. They're nontoxic. There's different levels of pedis. I did the basic today. You get the foot soak, cuticle removing, light foot scrub with the sponge, lotion, brief massage, and a hot towel. I'll try the others and review. TV was captioned, THANK YOU! Kim is very gentle and nice. You get a small bottle of water to drink. Caution: tips are cash only. 4 stars for being a bit pricier than other salons in this category. My nails were really soft and thin from a bad set of fake nails I got at a different salon before and I was going to get a no chip manicure here, but Lisa was very helpful and informative saying that a dip manicure would be better for my nails and last longer. She was very gentle and made sure that I was comfortable which I appreciate since my nails were pretty sore from the fake ones. I went in to get a full set of acrylics with gel polish. The nail tech seemed rushed and annoyed. There was barley any filing done even though I asked for coffin shape. This set took only 30 minutes, if you have ever gotten acrylics you would know that is extremely short amount of time for a full set. Then they tried to overcharge me said my total was $50. My daughter and I stopped into Love Nails Salon yesterday afternoon for pedicures after first going to our usual nail salon, Creative Nails, only to find the salon shuttered and empty. A quick look to Yelp found that Love Nails Salon was very highly rated and only a few blocks away, so due to the great reviews we decided to give it a try. We were very glad we did! We were warmly greeted and asked to sign in and choose a nail color. The atmosphere was very nice and inviting and cheerful pop music was playing on the stereo. We immediately liked the atmosphere in this salon better than our previous salon. We were handed menus so we could decide which variety of pedicure we wanted. We decided to go with the standard pedicure, at $25. They also have a special moisturizing treatment pedicure for dry, cracked feet for $35 called Honey Princess Pedicure. Finally, there was the Deluxe Pedicure, which was $43. That included everything in the Honey Princess Pedicure, plus a mask and hot stone massage. I'm going to try the Deluxe next time! I have arthritis in my knees, and I really appreciated that the pedicure stations telescoped so that I didn't have to bend my knees at weird, painful angles. We liked the massage chairs at this salon better, as well. The techs were very professional, friendly and courteous. My daughter's nail tech took extra care with her pedicure because she had recently had an ingrown toenail. He kept checking with her to make sure he was not hurting her. We were slightly disappointed, because we used to get the exfoliation at our old salon with a standard pedicure, which was $25 (or $22 for students). It's $35 for the exfoliation pedicure here. The standard pedicures were great, though, and the techs did not rush through them. We were offered bottles of complimentary "clear wine" (water), which was definitely a nice touch. I ended up also getting my eyebrows waxed, and the tech did a great job. Most natural looking eyebrow waxing I've had! They also have a VIP rewards program where they give you a punch card and each time you spend $15 they initial your VIP card with the date. When the card is full, you receive some free service (but I forget what. Maybe $15 off your next service?) We're glad to have found this salon, which is even closer to our house. Being a new nail salon, we had been anxiously anticipating trying it out, especially considering the other spas in the area are decent, but not great. Inside is nicely decorated, very clean, pleasant smelling, and well laid out. What was so surprising, was less the decor, but the welcome reception we received. It was like walking into a home of old friends, filled with sunshine and smiles. Jen and Kate are both so amazingly friendly and welcoming! They were very easy to talk with and showed a genuine interest in what I was saying. While I initially went for just a pedicure, I ended up getting a manicure too, because I did not want to leave yet and really enjoyed the conversation. Not only is the service top notch, the quality of their work is excellent. It is apparent that they really enjoy what they do and are good at it. My tech, Kate, consistently asked to make sure water temperature, hot stones, and paraffin wax were the right temperature for me. She really spent the time to make my feet and hands look as good as they can. I highly recommend this place to all of my friends and family and will definitely be back. read more

I went here for my first manicure ever with my Matron of Honor. I researched nail salons looking at reviews and prices and selected this one because it seemed like it had all rave reviews. I booked online for an 11AM appt and called the next morning to make sure that my MOH could get a pedi at the same time since the 11AM time slot was no longer available. I was told no problem. We arrive right on time and take a seat. The place is packed. We were greeted very nicely and even given a small bottle of water - which I thought was fantastic. We were told it was a 30 min delay because the first appt was late so everyone is going to be 30 min later ...I don't know of any other business that accommodates at the inconvenience of everyone else, but they do. We say that's fine and my girl and I sit and chat. 45 minutes later we are told we can sit in the massager chairs since someone will be able to start a pedi soon. I'm allowed to sit in one too even them I'm getting a mani so we may continue chatting. At 12:10 I turn to my friend and ask how much longer she wants to wait since we've been here over an hour and I have other things to do besides sit around. At 12:15 someone finally comes over to start the pedi; however, some other chick keeps messing up her nails sitting under the dryer and keeps calling the guy over to fix it. Perhaps if she stopped walking around and talking with her hands that would keep the flailing mishaps down. I was astounded that he actually stopped to redo her nails. multiple times. Again- inconvenience. Bottom line. I thought the service was absolutely terrible. Plus i was charged $40 for a no chip mani and their website says it $35. I recently moved in the area so I didn't feel like driving to my usual place in palatine. First of all the location was very hot, it seemed like they didnt have any A/C on which is terrible when wearing masks plus its still summer and its humid. the lady that did my nails barely filed or buffed my nails. The only time she buffed the top of my nails was to remove my previous no chip. My edges are extremely sharp. I asked for coffin and she cut the edges and hardly filed, just a quick little one over. Yet, somehow it took 2.5 hours to do my nails. She was very sloppy with painting my nails. She filed my nails in between cureing? Makes no sense. I told her I was unhappy and will not pay full price. Her and her coworker asked if they can repaint them.. I arrived at 2:15 and was finishing up at 4:15- no I don't want you redo my nails and make them still look ugly with the same result. I told the tech I wasn't trying to hurt her feelings or be rude and that I will give her some money for the time taken up but she kept saying no its okay because I wasn't happy. That righted the situation but I will never return and will go to my usual spot tomorrow to fix this crappy job. Overall, the service was great - fast, professional, friendly, and clean. Some noteworthy points: -Upon arriving, we were given a mini bottle of water (nice touch!). -My manicure and pedicure look great. My mani started to chip after a couple of days, but I don't think that it's their fault (I think that I just wash my hands a lot). My pedi is staying strong, and it looks like it will last longer. -They offer a punch card - spend a given amount and receive a discount! -The customer service was above average. The employees greeted us with a smile and said goodbye. I find that many salons come off as kind of cold; it was nice to find a salon with a warm and welcoming environment. I took my Mom here yesterday after seeing all of the amazing reviews that were left across Google, Facebook, and Yelp. I must say, the reviews were 500% accurate. I don't know the last time that my Mom ever gushed so much about a place as she did when she left here. I was inside with her for a little bit getting her signed in and also picking her up after her mani/pedi. I have to admit, the entire atmosphere of the place was kind, inviting, and extremely welcoming. The nail tech gave her a hug after she was done and it's within those little things that really make you see what kind of place they are running here. There was one lady, I imagine she was the manager / owner as she was extremely well dressed, professional, kind, and instantly made us both feel very welcomed. The prices were extremely reasonable and the service was top shelf. My Mom has always said nobody can ever massage her legs or feet or take care of the underside of her feet because it's so dry and sometimes bleeds (she's also Type 2 diabetic). She said her tech was gentle, listened to her, and was the only person that ever was able to do those things and caused her absolutely zero pain. I think the one major takeaway is that this experience just boosted her self-confidence and that in and of itself is the goal of any business like this. Truly spectacular! The shop is kind of small, but the atmosphere is really upbeat & lively. Jen is fantastic, but Kate & others are also really good. Also of note, I've never seen a nail salon where so many men accompany their wives & girlfriends to just hang out and wait. Tons of regulars and great service.
