They do not come to welcome you and after the first session they release you in hands of their "helper" ( the person who is cleaning the gadgets and changing pillows etc...) NOT follow up, not interest. It is like: I KNOW YOU ARE ALREADY ENGAGED WITH OUR OFFICE AND YOU HAVE TO STAY HERE UNTIL YOU FINISH OR DIE!! The place is SUPER narrow and the Air Conditioning is blowing dirty particles which make everybody SNEEZE!!!!! REALLY BAD MANAGEMENT OR NONE /!!!!!???? This is a great PT practice here on Washington st. The incredible experience began right away as I was checking in with the front desk lady. She was warm, and very helpful. From Nicole and Liz at the front desk, who are always helpful and accommodating, to the leadership, coaching and physio therapy provided by Carolyn, Kennedy, Anthony and a helpful, encouraging support team including Amod, Elisa, Chris and more. My frozen shoulder gradually returned to almost normal range after initially being incredibly painful and barely mobile. Attending three times weekly for a year, with a good routine of prescribed home exercises, manipulation and deep tissue massage, the team improved my condition phenomenally. Had a full knee replacement with HSS and chose Ivy because of it's close proximity to my home. My first contact was with Liz at the front desk, she's polite and friendly, and also alerted me to the fact that they offer transportation (in the morning through early afternoon) which was an additional benefit I hadn't even thought about. I was assigned to Nicole who is an absolute delight and very knowledgeable. I appreciate the fact that they prefer you work with the same PT with each visit (will add a second person to if necessary for your schedule) for consistent progress. Jerry keeps the patients moving from exercise to exercise (and is also in charge of getting the music on in the morning). I would really consider what your PT goals are before going here. It is essentially a factory, where you get limited time with your PT, and are left to do the same prescribed exercises alone for a bulk of the time. I went for 6 weeks, and experience very little relief. I would research and find a place where there is a different philosophy towards care. read more

I've been here for both lower back problems and diastasis recti from a twin pregnancy and, separately, neck problems from a pinched nerve. This is an amazing place with direct results. My doctors have been amazed at the huge progress I made, especially with the diastasis recti. I've been going to Tim this whole time and he is truly terrific. He spends tons of time working out the problem areas, most of the time 25 minutes plus, whereas most people I've been to in the past do the requisite 10 minutes and move you on to physical therapy stretches. Couldn't recommend this place or Tim more. The whole staff seems great as well from an observational standpoint. read more

I LOVE MILE SQUARE PHYSICAL THERAPY! I honestly don't even know where to begin, so let's just get right to it: the staff is amazing! From the PT Aides to the physical therapists themselves, and who can forget the lovely office managers at the front, Liz and Nicole - everyone works well together to make you feel at home. I feel like you can get treated for physical therapy at any location you choose, but if you wanted a place that effortlessly created that cozy and welcoming atmosphere, I recommend you check out Mile Square Physical Therapy in Hoboken. I had the pleasure of working with practically every PT there, which I say is a pretty good idea because each PT has their own approach to your case and the ideas become endless on how to treat your body. I tore a ligament in my left ankle and went to Mile Square for about 5 months. Caroline is probably my favorite PT there. She was direct with me and her level of expertise is commendable. The exercises and advisement she's given me are ones I still used today. Jessica is another favorite - she's a sweetheart! Enrique and Shelley are pretty boss - they're the head honchos. When they're around, it's like "Oh damn, here comes Shelley/Enrique." Who can forget the compassionate PT aides? Xavier was one of the guys who was there most often with my schedule - great conversationalist and awesome personality. I loved Kat as well! She's extremely friendly, and who doesn't love a bright smile? Jerry was beyond accommodating. He was always going above and beyond to look out for you and your needs. Javi was always fun to joke around with. All these guys created this feeling that you were going to get well soon and you had nothing more to worry about. I've been going to Mile Square on and off (mostly on) since 2010 for various injuries. The staff and therapists are very friendly and genuinely care about your recover. Shelley is extremely knowledgeable and professional. She can also relate to real world activity as she is very active herself. While Shelley was my primary therapist, I often received advice from the other therapists and assistants while I was doing my exercises. They truly work as a team. I really can't say enough good things about this place. Shelley, Melia, Kathryn, Jess, Jerry, George, Ron, Liz, Nicole, and everyone else are awesome. I just finished my last physical therapy session today with Kathryn, and it was a bittersweet ending! I chose Mile Square Physical Therapy for its's proximity to my home, reviews on various social sites, and, primarily, for the hallmark of approval as being affiliated with Hospital of Special Surgery in NY--the #1 hospital for Orthopaedics in the nation. I had a great experience with a rotator cuff injury at HSS, so that was truly the key in my decision to go to MSPT. The entire office is friendly and very low key. It's a far cry from a few other physical therapy offices I've been to in the area for other injuries, including another in Hoboken. As a woman, I was pleased that sports weren't blaring on televisions throughout the intimate facility. In fact, the televisions were generally only turned on at the request of the patients, so the Physical Therapists and PTA's gave us their full attention. My physical therapist, Kathryn, was very thorough, congenial, and clearly well-versed in her field. From the first evaluation, to the final, she carefully noted and commented on my progress in recovering from a brachial bypass surgery with retracted ulnar nerve. Knowing I was motivated to return to full physical capabilities, and equally important, to return to work as a flight attendant, she patiently guided me, coached me and made me whole again! The PTA's work in concert with the Physical therapists to oversee that the patients are using proper technique in the exercises and tasks, and they are there to help streamline the recovery process. Mile Square Physical Therapy also offers free shuttle service to incapacitated patients, the elderly, or those who live further afield. I though this was a beneficial perk to the practice. While I don't hope to be back at MSPT anytime soon, other than to pop in and say "hello", I would not hesitate in a minute to utilize their physical therapy services again, nor to refer someone. read more

EXTREMELY hands on, you do not feel rushed, they are inventive and willing to explore any option that will benefit your long term health. Amazing treatment. Great staff. Two weeks after I had achilles reparation surgery I walked into MSPT and Jessica told me they'd not only help me get back on two feet, but back to my active lifestyle. Free rides to and from treatment with Camillo, efficient and friendly front desk reception from Liz and Nicole, guidance from the attentive Aides (Kat, Jerry, Byron, Liz, Xavier and anyone else i forgot!) and of course the hands on treatment by Jessica, Caroline, Shane and Ben was always top notch. The first day I walked in I was at a pretty low point, having suffered the worst injury of my life. After my last appointment, as happy as I was to have progress so well over 7 months, I felt a bit of sadness that I wouldn't be seeing these people who had helped me so much along the way. This was my first time at physical therapy, and Mile Square gave me a great experience. I have been having pain throughout my left leg for awhile now, and I have little to no pain with their help. They are attentive to the needs of their patients, and are willing to work with you for as long as you need, no rush. I wanted this place to be better. It needs improvement. 1. It stinks when you walk in, like an old funky smell. I thought it might me the old worn and scratched rubber balls by the window that appear to make an effort to be decorative. Maybe it's the floor? 2. The PT is good in the beginning, but then they pass you on to their assistants, some who look bored or like they don't want to be there. ( young male) 3. I understood my PT sometimes takes someone or finishes someone while helping me, but it started happening more often and longer time frames of being alone. The assistants would start you, watch you and walk away, check their cell phone and start texting -not even watching to see if you are doing the exercises correctly! (young female) 4. I was paying cash and they still did this so I went elsewhere. I need a place that teaches and continues to guide me. read more

The staff and therapists are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and take time with you to ensure that you get the best treatment. This is a good place. Caesar is a good and careful physiotherapist. It is clean and orderly. Most of the assistants are good. Here actually the men are better and more professional than the two young women. Jerry is the best. What a great guy. Only annoying thing is the TV downstairs, but it seems to be for the staff rather than the patients and maybe they wouldn't be in a good mood without it. I'd rather they provide headphones, as many others find it a headache, especially mindless daytime TV shows. But this is no biggie. Overall, this is a good place and I would go back. read more

I was hit by a bus back in September and insurance didn't go through on my physical therapy until February. I'm so happy I found Mile Square physical therapy. Caroline is an incredible physical therapist who spoke to me with my personal experiences in mind to tailor not only the treatment but also language for my situation. I was a patient for over 18 months and the team here helped not only get me back on my feet (quite literally) but they were also a great emotional support system.
