Cute cafe. Very friendly staff. Lots of yummy menu items. They have gf options- even pancakes!! I had the pastrami Rueben on gf bread and my wife had roast beef on gf bread. They also checked if fries were ok since they use the same oil as non-gf items. Very thoughtful of them. We'll definitely be back!!

Went for dinner a little past 5 to find an empty restaurant. We ordered pierogi, grilled cheese, and a pastrami sandwich. The food was great and the prices on the kid's meal was amazing. Kids enjoyed coloring away prior to food arriving. Everything was fresh and delicious! They are now open till 8 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays! So close to our soccer field, will be by often

To be honest, I was surprised on how good it would he. The food I had (a very well made matzah ball soup and French dip) was very well made, the customizable choices for the aforementioned dishes was also a nice touch. All in all. Don't let the outer appearance of the shop dissuade you, this is a high end diner!

Delicious affordable food. Love their selection of Jewish inspired dishes. Fried matzah with corned beef really good and only 11.00!! Also great hamantaschen's!

Great Jewish deli/dinner spot. Had a matzo ball soup, pastrami egg and cheese on an everything bagel, and the Rachel sandwich with pastrami. Anything I'm with their pastrami is amazing!

    Vegan menu

We came to Izenberg's because they have a dedicated vegan menu. The three of us ordered the breakfast burrito with home fries (asked them to put the potatoes inside the burritos, which they had never done before, but graciously complied). Big hit. My friends also ordered the buckwheat pancakes with bananas (eaten there), and I got latkes and a Mother Earth wrap to go home. The pancakes were also a big hit. One assumption you can't make is whether they'd have vegan butter for the pancakes and non-dairy milk for the coffee, but they did (oat milk). Our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient. No vegan desserts (can pre-order, though). They had a nice selection of non-vegan sweet things. Talked to the owner, who has vegan daughters and had to figure out what to make for them. I'm guessing that's why there was such a good selection. If we lived in the area, I'd definitely be back.

This is a wonderful place. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming. The baked goods are gorgeous and the bagels are fantastic. I had heard good things and finally got to try it for myself. Fantastic. They have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu. Lots to chose from that are either sweet or savory. Highly recommend.

Not good, I had to put so much Mayo and ketchup to add flavor

My company often ordered from this place. Honestly not impressed. I always finish my food, but the sandwich I recently ordered from izenbergs I could not even finished. I ordered their Philly cheese chicken steak sandwich with a side of fries. My sandwich is so bland without any seasoning and no mayo, everything is just super dry. Even the fries I got, was completely not seasoned. The most recent time I ordered white fish salad bagel sandwich which is pretty good, but it wasn't outstanding. I think I will have to try their breakfast items in the future, since I don't seem to order the best food here.

    Church pews for booth seating.

This was another of my "Stumbled Upons". Riding about looking for a new breakfast spot we drove by what my diner detecting eyes saw as one I had never tried. As we strode up the ramp to the front door we saw that it was indeed a diner. My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw it was called Izenberg's. I had discovered a Jewish diner/deli in Conshy of all places!!!!! Those who know me laugh when I say I must have been Jewish in a past life because I seriously dig Jewish food. My amazement continued when we were seated at a booth and the benches were church pews! ( see my pic) Looking out the window I saw we were only about 50 feet from an Episcopal Church which is undergoing renovation. Could it be? Maybe. This is getting cooler by the minute ! The place is immaculate and well kept. There are bakery cases at the checkout counter full of wonderful items including my all time fav: Jewish Apple Cake. Alas, I didn't order anything ethnic because we fell victim to the $3.99 breakfast deal which was a large portion of 2 eggs, breakfast meat, potatoes and toast. I had the multigrain toast while my companion had the rye. Really nice they have so many toast options. Both of us opted for the bottomless coffee for $1.95 which was refilled multiple times by friendly staff. We ate a really good breakfast like a King and a Queen for $12 for the both of us. Service was attentive and pleasant. Another score. Next time and the time after that I'm going to eat a deli sandwich and some desserts. Safe to say "We will be back"

I would avoid this place. It is subpar food and rude owners. Plenty of other places to spend your money

Seemed like a pretty standard Jewish-style deli, and the sides were tasty as well. One of the people at our table ordered carrot cake, which was quite large, and I got to taste some of it, which was tasty too. All the staff there were very friendly too, and it's fairly loud in there like your typical local deli. I would consider going back again if I'm in the area or some friends are going.

Hostess-very rude, no smile, barely spoke up to us. we prayed she wasn't our waitress too At the table -trash on the floor from previous diner(s) Our waitress was super nice. We ordered a Corned Beef special and a Roast beef special. When they arrived we couldn't tell the difference. I've never had such dark brown corned beef served to me Neither sandwich had any taste or flavor, like they forgot to put the pickling spice on. Maybe they aren't making the meats in house anymore? Pickle Bar - wow, you might as well just serve us the few sparse items that you now offer. Disappointing Overall- we travel a distance to come here and will take Hymies off our list. I've been a customer since Barson's on Haverford Ave in the 70s I had a sense that the love and care was no longer there. Sad
