I LOVE Izumi. Is it luxury level seafood and sushi? No. But is it a solid 7-8/10 for what a single sushi roll has started to cost nowadays? Absolutely. Lunch is $15 and dinner is $20 for all the sushi, sashimi, and hibachi you can eat. Usually buffets are pretty mediocre, with food that I regret paying even $10 for it. Even on its worst days when fish is less fresh, it's still better than any buffet I have ever had, and is usually still better sushi than what I would get for a $14 roll at other sushi places. I love coming here when I want some good fish without breaking the bank. They have a great selection on hand rolls, sushi, and even sashimi. They have standard Asian food and a hibachi in their buffet as well for people who may not like raw food. They even do takeout and let you stuff a to go box with as much as it can fit if you're in a hurry and don't want to sit down. I will always recommend Izumi for the price it is, and the quality it manages. For the price and quality, this place just can't be beat.

Still #1 after all these years! Best all you can eat sushi buffet in the CSRA! Last year they updated their entree buffet and made it double sided. With a wide variety of sushi, Asian cuisine, and a hibachi grill, they have something for everyone! Never a disappointment!

I was so in the mood for Sushi, serendipity I happen to be with a like minded friend. Izumi delivered as always with more choices than one thought possible. There is something for everyone from the safe little California Rolls to the ones topped with more exotic ingredients. My favorites smocked salmon, thinly sliced Ahi and the Eel. The ones topped with a tiny octopus were a delight The grill prepares a tasty hot meal of your choice and the hot bar has many selections of Chinese favorites. The only thing I found lacking was the hot and sour soup, which was neither and rather tasteless in general. I almost missed the crab Rangoon although the pork potstickers were a crispy tasty thing. Service was good and restaurant was very clean. Well worth the drive all the way to Evan's even at $20 per meal without drinks.

The food is so good! I especially love the build your own hibachi plate. The sushi is also really good, and they don't put out too much at once so it isn't sitting out for very long. The service is so quick and very helpful. The lunch buffet is often pretty busy but there's always enough food and a place to sit. It has one of the best prices around, the lunch price is especially reasonable and is one of the biggest reasons why I choose here over other places nearby.

There are two parts to this review. The first part was that the rolls were fresh and continued to come out at a fast pace during our visit. Some of them were delicious and some were basic. They also had a few unique rolls including one that was really spicy. The price was also fantastic for the options that are provided. I do not like sushi rolls with cream cheese in them. Several of the rolls had big chunks of it in there so take a look at the actual roll and not then name of them. The sushi nigiri was also pretty good. I had shrimp and salmon. It was not loaded with rice like many other buffets tend to do. The miso soup wasn't seasoned or flavored in a way that I'm accustomed to. So here is the second part...... As we were finishing our second round of food a GIANT roach walked from the buffet area right over to our table. I mean this roach was just out there. If you know anything about roaches is that if you see one out in the day, then there are hundreds unseen. It instantly ended our lunch. We watched in horror as it just chilled at our neighbors table. Overall as I write this I'm really torn. The food was good but that roach......

Heard about the wonderful spread at Izumi from my sis-in-law. We went there on our last night before heading home. When we arrived, we were seated right away and our server took our drink orders and off we go. I did a survey first and there were plenty to choose from. Started off with some sushi, sashimi and rolls. There are a lot to choose from including Tuna, Salmon, and White fish (escolar maybe?) plus seared tuna. For nigiri, they have clam, fish eggs, eel, tamago and more. They have different types of rolls and were all tasty. The one that impressed me most is their ratio of seafood and rice for this nigiri and rolls. Just right esp since this is a buffet. They have a hot food station. Tried a couple of things. Really liked the vegetable tempura. It was crispy and tasted freshly cooked unlike other buffets where it can be soggy. They also have grill station where you choose your ingredients and they cook it for you. for protein, you can choose from beef, chicken and shrimp. They also had a few soup selections... hot and sour, miso and crab and corn soup. Overall, food-wise, it is well worth visiting. It was one of the better Japanese buffets I've been to. Place is ok. Nothing special to say about the decor. It's all about the food for me. :-)

Ask the Community - Izumi Japanese Buffet

Do they have crab legs in their dinner buffet?

Yes they do. As well as many other options. Oysters, peel and eat shrimp and all sorts of stuff!

Do they still offer crab legs on their dinner buffet? And what is the price of their dinner buffet currently?

$11 plus for lunch and about $18 plus for dinner. Not sure on the crab legs. When we ate there it was lunch time.

Are there Oysters during lunch?

I've seen them once but call before you go.

What are the prices for Lunch?

$10.95

What's the difference between Dinner and lunch and is there a price difference weekdays vs weekends?

Lunch is $11 and dinner is $16. That is for weekdays and weekends. Sunday is not one price all day. Besides the crab legs, they have additional sushi at night and the quality seems to be higher. I appreciated the variety, but we still normally just…

We ordered a bunch of sushi and it was served on this really cool ship made of wood complete with glowing lights and a wild orchid. The sushi here is excellent and some notable one to try are: Jumbo dragon Lava roll Snow mountain roll Fantasy roll Fusion roll Miyako special I've come in and just sat in the bar while ordering sushi takeout and I really enjoy that area. The other side of the restaurant has a hibachi grill, which will be fun for us to try in the future! Our server was magnificent.

It take forever to get your food and the boil is "okay". But we tried the hibachi option for the first time yesterday and it was on point! It was a Monday night so there wasn't a long wait and we had a big party. Wait - note that there is no "early bird specials" at this location. I called and someone said there was but there isn't. It was cool - just an FYI. Okay, so we had everything from scallops, to beef, chicken, sushi and drinks. Everyone left happy. The chef also did a great performance. I only took away one star from My previous rockin crab experiences. Miyako table experience was a win-win
