I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Izzo's. I got the beef and shrimp taco with toppings of my choice and they did not disappoint. The food is always fresh and amazing. With me getting shrimp, they are cooked right there on the spot. I placed my order via the mobile app and went and picked it up but the service was still great. I went in here today for the first time, and it will be my last time ever coming here. This place was filthy dirty; even the tables had old customers' food trays and moreI regret to say that my first visit will also be my last. The cleanliness of the establishment was far below acceptable standards. It's unfortunate because I had high hopes, but the lack of hygiene really ruined the experience for me. I believe that cleanliness is a basic expectation for any business, and this fell short. I hope they address these concerns for future patrons. read more

This place is gross and unorganized. The workers were all over the place. The toppings were low and not fresh looking. Because they were low on the ingredients, they were stingy. (Probably like 8 kernels of roasted corn). I ordered a veggie burrito but I was limited to lettuce, tomato, and the corn and a few other cheaply cost items. All else is extra. Then they almost gave my order to someone else. You would think that since I paid for my order, I should get my burrito once it was wrapped. Instead they have to wait for all the quessadilla orders that was infront of me to get theirs before getting my burrito. The burrito was cold and stale tasting. I would've been better off with Taco Bell next door. read more

I've enjoyed Izzos' Covington, LA location for the past decade. My girlfriend and I were heading back from Baton Rouge and dropped into this location for lunch and were given the worst service I've had at a "speedy" restaurant in tears. Everyone else seemed to be better equipped with customer service than the young black man that served us. He had a loosely fitted hat and short dreads/twists. Although there was a long line of customers, he moved at a careless pace, almost no manners when speaking to us or other customers, and left my burrito poorly rolled and covered in its own contents. He also rolled his eyes I believe once while we were asking for an extra drink, but I may be mistaken. The food is always good, but even though this will make me sound like a Karen, the customer service experience has cost this location my business. read more

I do want to start off by saying that this location was very busy the day my boyfriend and I went. Most of the staff were nice, however the one that waited on us seemed a little out of it. No was changing their gloves properly. They changed them after making your food but the guy that made our food touched the counters and then grabbed our chips with the same gloves. The counters were also very messy. Now once the line got down a taller man started wiping down the counter, however I think that should happen more frequently. Also I just want to mention that when my boyfriend said that we wanted 1 Super Meal Deal and then an extra large drink the guy without hesitation asked if the Super Meal Deal was for me. I'm definitely above average weight wise so I was a little off put by that. My boyfriend asked why it mattered but the guy didn't answer. I don't think that was done with poor intentions but it did make me a little uncomfortable. Also none of the tables were wiped off. The ice machine was overflowing with used ice. The food was good don't get me wrong. However the way the guy wrapped my boyfriends burrito was really messy and when he unwrapped it queso kinda went everywhere. My boyfriend and I have been going to izzos for a long while. Ive never been to this location before, however I was pretty disappointed with the overall service we received today. We probably won't be back and will drive the extra bit to Covington. :/ read more

I watched my favorite Izzo's location in Uptown New Orleans close a few years ago. So I figured let me try the one out by my family in Denham Springs. I've been eating at Izzo's for a while as I genuinely prefer their food over chipotle for fast casual Mexican food. So when I went into the Izzo's on Juban I expected my experience to be like any other time. The tall gentleman took our order but you could tell he was annoyed with who I assume was his coworkers. I ordered a quesadilla which I appreciate will take a second to prepare. The guy who is preparing my food and my family's food is the same one taking our money at the register. Now halfway through my food cooking on the grill 4 young people come out the back and an older gentleman pokes his head into the window between the back and the front. One of the guys finishes what he was eating wipes his face with his hand then proceeds to go refill the items at the drink station. I kid you not stood behind me to the point I was like dude can you give me a minute to get my drink. Then two other people put the back came to talk to him. A line had formed at this point in the building and the same two people remained making food no help from anyone else until the older guy steps up front then everyone seemed to help make orders. By now my family is half way done with their food and I've yet to get my food so I go up to wait for it. When I got the food I kid you not the amount of grease that was dripping off of it soaked through the paper and the chips were so salty that we threw them away. It's upsetting that I paid money to be treated like garbage and eat food not fit for human consumption. I mean I find it disrespectful to the brand the way this restaurant is being run. With some adept management and customer service focused staff with a respect for food quality this location may actually turn things around. Otherwise I cannot foresee a restaurant being run this way being successful. Ohio State University did a study in 2005 that found 60% of restaurants fail in their first year, and 80% of restaurants that remain open after the first year fail within five years. So with such a high failure rate and considering this is a business that I assume wants to make money someone needs to change direction soon before yall become just another statistic. I don't review restaurants ever nor do I find it my concern with how a business operates but this was an absolutely ridiculous experience that could have easily been prevented. Do better!! read more

We decided to try this location for the first time. Won't be back. No knowledge of gluten free items, so if you have a gluten sensitivity avoid it. My husband's tray was wet. Instead of drying it off, they put paper on top of it and his chips directly on the paper. He couldn't eat the combo meal he purchased, as a result. Tables were disgusting. They too were wet and full of food crumbs. Absolutely disappointed. I had high hopes. read more

Well good to see the garbage from the baton rouge izzos has carried over here.... can't hear the employees thru their masks so you have to yell to place an order, staff can't roll a burrito without dumping it all over the counter not going to wait for a remake after being in line for 15 mins.... to summarize just as crap as the BR location has become with their oversalted chips that require a vat of salsa to be able to eat. read more

I absolutely love Izzo's, normally. It's something different everytime. Their scoops are so small and this is the first time that I have been charged for extra shredded cheese ever. For the Queso, yes i know there is a charge. I will definitely not be going back to that one. The guy looked like he was aggravated and unsure that I had to ask for more but I'm sorry, 1 scoop is definitely not enough for an Illegal Burrito of that size or a bowl. Do better read more

I typically love Izzo's, but my experience with this particular location was a disappointment. The food was not fresh in the slightest and the quantity of the food was less than other locations. I ordered a shrimp bowl with mushrooms. Their were about 7 mushrooms in my bowl even though it cost extra. So sad. I downloaded yelp just to rate this place because it was so disappointing. read more
