    Tacos from Izzy's Taqueria
    Andrea K.

We ordered tacos from Izzy's Taqueria. The food there tasted good. But it didn't taste like tacos to me. Atleast not the tacos I am used to. I am not saying whether or not these tacos are authentic because I am not a good judge of that. But my reference as to what tacos are is from Taco bell and other Mexican trief restaurants I have been to (which served tacos similar to Taco Bell but just "better quality"). And I really liked those tacos. So when I look for a taco, that's what I am searching for. And these tacos definitely weren't that. Again they tasted good. But radishes and coriander is not what I am used to on a taco. It's also missing the sour cream & guacamole (but not sure if my friend just ordered it that way without sour cream & guacamole.) Myself and the other people eating these tacos thought that the shell tasted like pita bread, so to me it was more like stuffed pita bread than a taco.

Friendly chef next to the free churros he gave us

Food: Smash burger are great, they are not the best but I would rank it as top 5 in the city. I was pretty surprised how they charge for cheese (the place is mostly Kosher, and the Cheese of I remember is vegan) which contradict the concept of smash burgers. The fries were overly cooked if not almost burned, so I couldnt eat half of the basket. Service: ordering regular fries and getting trufle fries just to charge me extra is not a nice move. But having those popcorn and water cup made up for it little bit. If I knew I would be charged that much (burger + fries) I would have chosen from the lunch special menu

We were a group of 8 with two children. After touring Crown Heights since early morning, we stopped here for lunch. We walked in, were nicely greeted and sat down immediately. The waitress came over, said hello and immediately took a drink order. They. have a pretty extensive list of wine and beer here along with their very complete food menu. I skipped the appetizer but a few of my friends had the wings. I made the mistake of not tasting one and they looked delicious. Who ever had one also enjoyed them. I went straight for the burger, most of of did. Their classic burger was, [well] a classic. A great patty of [kosher] beef with all the toppings. It was perfectly cooked [medium] and flavorful and moist. This is definitely a great burger spot. Too bad it's a 45 minute drive from me. Service was great and our waitress very attentive to detail. I am really looking forward to a return trip with my wife. I want to experience their great looking desserts. KUDO's to the team here at Boeuf & Bun.

Chef Erick, formerly of Boru Boru and other high Michelin star rated spots, is the executive chef here now and doing what he does best to make this gastropub a huge success. Dishes you'll be familiar with but with a slight twist in a good way is the name of the game here. The vibe is upbeat, staff is friendly and the food is on point. This night we had the caramelized medjool dates with chunks of crispy beef bacon, pickled red onions with a drizzle of aioli that but thru the sweet and have it a nice balance. Their signature burger is ultra juicy bf flavorful, even if you must get it well done ;), the Duck pastrami was really tender and had all the flavors of what a traditional pastrami would have. Their charcuterie board was phenomenal and chef said he'd be updating it from time to time with new additions as well. And I'm physical obsessed with their pickled veggies jar!! Loved their olive oil cake served with an in season persimmon and kumquat coulis, almost like a short cake and the sweet and tart of the fruit coulis complimented really well. So get your GNO, BNO, birthday, date night, family celebration going here! It's a fun night out with great food, beautiful ambiance and upgrade energy! Oh and they will hold your table 20 min past your reservation time, DO NOT BE LATER THAN THAT because there is a ton of walk ins and they will give your table up to one of the many hungry patrons waiting. Which I do very much appreciate that they stick to that rule.
