My office surprised us with Izzy's and let's just say their pizzas are HUGE!!!! One slice was as big as my face! Pizza was actually really good and the slice held up! So that means it was baked to perfection! Would definitely recommend

I love this place. I go every week for lunch! It's the best New York style pizza I've ever had! My friends and I agree it's even better than the pizza we've tried in New York. I don't even usually eat the crusts of pizza, but theirs I do because it's so delicious! Service is also great every time we come. It never disappoints!

After reading the great reviews, and looking for a new pizza place, I decided to try two slices and the garlic knots. The garlic knots are delicious, sitting in a buttery sauce with a lot of garlic. The 2 cheese pizza slices plus two toppings came with a fountain drink for $8.00. Everything is cooked to order and the slices were ready in just a few minutes. The crust is delicious, made fresh everyday. It is thin and crispy. The homemade sauce is awesome. Neither the crust nor the sauce are too sweet. Plenty of toppings of both pepperoni and mushrooms. At 2:00 pm on a Friday afternoon, they weren't crowded and yet they were doing a good bit of take-out. It is a small restaurant, clean and very friendly staff. I will return.

I been to This place several times but always for take out , so this review is limited to my take out experience I will also say that I m not much of a pizza guy but if I m going to have any in the ATL it's Izzy or Antico only. ATMOSPHERE/DECO Never sat down and ate there but it's basic. Nothing special but a semi open kitchen and you can see the pizza oven. Place always seems clean and inviting SERVICE Cannot comment on the service but never had any issues with take out and my orders have always been correct PRICE Prices are quite good. Very good value for your money My last order was Bruschetta Large Greek salad 10 wings Medium cheese pizza And the total was right under $50. This days this is a very good value. FOOD My to go order is usually bruschetta and cheese pizza. The bruschetta is good and pack with tomatoes and cheese. However it does get soggy fast so by time I get home the bread is not longer crispy but the flavors are good. Cheese pizza is what you want in a NY style pizza. Great dough. Very well cook. Perfect fold. One of best NY pizza I had outside of the big apple. This past time I also tried their wings and we a pretty impressive. I got the mild one and they were on point. They were on the extra wet side which I have no complain with as nothing is worse to go home with dry wings. They were more on the softer side which is my favorite, my wife on the other hand like her wings very crispy so she wasn't a fan on those. The menu also has a few Italian dishes like chicken Parm, lasagna, etc. Never tried those but will in the future. MISCELLANEOUS Plenty parking as the location is in a strip mall. Keep in mind they are close on Mondays. La note de Sebo Atmosphere/deco N/A Service N/A Food. 4.5/5 Price. 5/5 Miscellaneous. N/A OVERALL. 4.5/5 but since we can't give half stars, will give them 5

My sister had raved about finding this place near her, so took a trip with her while visiting to try it out. It's a very small, family owned pizza place. It's got an 80s vibe to it, reminiscent of those old school Pizza Huts. It sits in a strip mall and it's very easy to miss it for sure! We did take out and brought it back. One jalapeño and pineapple, and then a BBQ Chicken. Both pizzas were huge! I would rate the pineapple and jalapeño a 2/5 (just didn't feel like the toppings were super fresh), but the BBQ Chicken was really good! Also, loved the crust too. Would certainly recommend them and try them out, as I love pizza places, but not in my Top 5 choices. Still, supporting family owned small business is something I highly recommend!

This is the best one-off NY style pizza place I've ever gotten pizza from. The ambience is good in that the staff is very friendly. It's a better place for picking up a pizza rather than dining in. But do yourself a favor and try them sometime. You won't be disappointed. Get the NY Meat Lovers. Thank me later.

We recently moved from Dekalb Co and I miss my Fellini's, but Izzy's won my heart! For one thing I had never in my life thought to put fresh basil leaves on a pizza before, but they do here, and it may be the most delicious thing I've ever tasted in my whole life! Fresh ingredients and hand made dough as well.. mmmm! The small restaurant had a NY vibe as well the way it was decorated, it reminded me of the first little pizza place I popped into when I visited years ago. The total bill seemed a bit on the expensive side, but everything was fresh.

This is not good NYC pizza. The crust is tasteless and not crispy. The cheese is not cheesy. I have had better frozen pizza. However, Izzy was friendly. The restaurant was clean and big enough for parties and meetings. read more

This place is bussin (aka good as hell!) I review a few places with bad service usually but the pizza here is mad good I won't even lie. The prices are a little up there but it's worth the taste and how much you get, the pizzas are huge. I got a medium and it was much more than I expected they also have good wings and good fries. The customer service wasn't bad either. I'd definitely recommend. Only 4 stars because I haven't tried more yet. read more

Ordered Lasagne and a Calzone, the Lasagne was very watery along with lacking seasoning, Calzone got shorted with the veggies, no receipt with evidence of Order, the Child working the register was friendly, but the air about this place was not particularly welcoming, might've been the time as it was past 8p, I had great hopes when I arrived, but got shattered very quickly after they had my Money, live & learn, this place could be good if you just on the run, but as Dine in Guest, not pleasant. read more

I come to this place almost weekly and never had a bad experience. This food is high quality and would recommend it to anyone in the metro area. Great to see a family owned business; instead of your typical chain restaurants that are way too common around here. Once you eat at this place, any other pizza seems second rate. read more

This place is ok, it's definitely not what I was hoping for seeing it's right down the street from where we live. It's thin crust "like" NY style pizza however that's about it for the similarities. The crust was kind of hard lacking flavor, the sauce tasted like typical can pizza sauce. The staff were friendly, seemed like a family owned establishment. I'd probably eat there again when we want pizza other than the national chains but my journey will be to find better. Slices in Brookhaven is excellent compared to this place but it's a little farther than we wanted to drive. Sometimes you just gotta make that trip though. read more

The pizza used to be good now it's just basic honesty. During lunch hour they make the pie and just add the toppings you want and re heat it. The crust has no flavor. The prices keep going up even though they're not that busy. Overall you'll be better off getting a pie from dominos or somewhere for cheap. read more

Ok, I'm Italian and from North Jersey, so I have pretty strong opinions about pizza. Izzy's pizza is definitely like the pizza from NY/NJ and better than some I've had up north too. Pretty good. I think a family was running the place--not sure if they are the owners, but they seemed really nice and like they really care about the place. Nice people. I'll definitely go back again. read more

I moved from Massachusetts to Atlanta about a year ago & I hadn't found a good pizza place until I went to Izzys. My daughter & I were looking at homes for sale in the area & just stumbled upon Izzys. I said to her it's worth a shot, haven't found a really good pizza place like back home yet. We went in and the owner greeted us & said to let him know when we were ready to order. The employees were all friendly. The restraunt has a lot of stuff in it but I was amazed at the cleanliness. Our salad came out & was brought to our recently wiped table. We had plenty of time to down some before our pepperoni pizza arrived. It was the best pizza by far that we've had since arriving in Georgia. It reminded me of a local pizza place we had back home. The crust was thin and the pizza was cooked just right. When I picked it up it didn't flop down because the bottom of the crust was nicely toasted like it should be. Definately 5 stars from me for the pizza! Thank you to the Izzy staff for making our visit enjoyable. We will become regulars wether we move to the area or not. It's 19 miles away but it's definately worth. The trip!! My wife and I were having a few friends over and we wanted to try something new. I got tired of the big chain pizza places and when I looked on yelp, Izzy's NY pizza came up with high ratings. Once I got my meal, everything smelled good but once I got back to my house and we ate the food..I immediately wanted my money back. The pizza and calzones weren't that tasty and the calzone was soggy. The pizza sauce was very bland. The wings didn't have much flavor either. I've been to NY many times and this is not NY style pizza! I hate to say it but I don't know what these other folks who posted reviews are talking about. Maybe Izzy was having a bad day but either way, I would NEVER go back to this place. read more

The service was good for a dine-in counter restaurant. We thought that the pizza was average. The 18" pizza is definitely sizable and a good NY thin crust, but it was just okay. To our taste, it was very greasy. They have bottled beer available, but the selection is somewhat limited. Overall, I think this would be a solid option for take-out, but I'm not sure that I'll make the drive for dine-in service again. read more

We were greeted enthusiastically and the staff were super accommodating. Prices are fair as well and the ambience is nicer than your average local pizza joint. We ordered a medium Margherita Pizza for lunch and the quality and taste of the pizza was spectacular if you're looking for an American-style pizza. This place is easily in the top 5 (maybe 3?) places in Lawrenceville if you're looking for a pie made with love. Dogwood Pizza looks to be extremely ingrained in the community of nearby schools and Lawrenceville as a whole. We'd support it just for this reason but having wonderful pizza and staff are a huge plus. We highly recommend this place if this type of pizza is up your alley or you're just looking for something new.

We have eaten at Izzy's twice. Both experiences were great. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. My wife fell in love with the pizza (and I have too!) and their Cheese Steak sandwich was the best I've had since living in Chicago (during bootcamp at Great Lakes Naval Station). I am from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY and know New York styles of pizza. Izzy's is as good as Lento's in Bay Ridge - in some ways better! That's a great compliment! Izzy's has become our new "go to" even though we live in North Decatur. A wonderful restaurant; great people; good food, Izzy's is highly recommended! My only complaint: I grew up a NY Mets fan and I was surrounded by Yankee's memorabilia - such is life! read more

I have to say that this is the closest I've come to that good old corner shop NY pizza that I've had growing up. Located in an old strip mall this is your typical hole-in-the-wall shop. You can have either pizza by the slice or a whole pie, unless you have a large family to feed a few slices will fill you up. I have to say I haven't had a slice this large since going to "Pie in the Sky" back in the day. The pepperoni slice was outstanding, with the perfect blend of cheese, sauce, and the crust, I'm normally not a crust fan but this place makes me a believer. Ok. When I feel like pizza, I want a good pizza. A friend recommended Izzy's. They are in a small shopping strip just off of Rockbridge Rd. I got a slice of plain cheese pizza and a friend got the calzone. The cheezy factor was good, it was what I wanted. Tons to choose from on the menu but if your like me you already know what you want before you get there. The owners are extremely nice and attentive. Best pizza ever hands down! I come here weekly with my partner and we love it very much. I've traveled the world and I have yet to taste a better pizza spot. Everything from here tastes delicious!
